The Punjab government of Pakistan announced a new campus of London's Imperial College campus in Lahore. However, the UK university quickly denied the claim, saying it had "no such plans". The fake claim by the Maryam Nawaz-led provincial government, which she herself amplified, sparked criticism from an alumnus of the Imperial College, who slammed the government.
