German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is currently in Japan with six of his cabinet ministers. The three-day visit is an attempt to strengthen bilateral ties with Tokyo and reduce German dependence on Chinese raw materials. It comes at a time when economies across the world are facing supply chain issue due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
