NYPD Sikh trooper barred from growing beard
President of the Indian Sikh organization Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Harjinder Singh Dhami has written to Indian Envoy to the United States. He has raised strong objections to reports that the New York Police Department is adopting policies that stop Sikh policemen from growing their beards.
