Amid controversy over stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's alleged defamatory remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished structures at the Habitat Studio in Mumbai due to alleged building violations. Kamra filmed the controversial stand-up comedy segment at this studio, where he made remarks referring to the Deputy Chief Minister as a "gaddar" (traitor).
