Israel says Iran has escalated the conflict by using cluster bomb warheads in ballistic missile strikes. According to the Israeli military, the missile’s warhead splits mid-air and scatters around 20 smaller explosive submunitions across a wide area, increasing the risk to civilians.
The development comes as Israel intensifies its campaign against Iranian targets, with the IDF reporting thousands of bombs dropped on strategic sites across Iran since the start of the war.
