With the US caught up in a civil war that is both violent and chaotic, Alex Garland’s latest film Civil War has been raising a lot of eyebrows with people wondering if this is how the “supposed” peacemaker of the world will react to internal conflicts if they ever occur. WION’s Zeba Khan spoke to lead actress Kirsten Dunst who plays a war journalist in the film, who is caught between her job and ethics, who questions whether her job has been in vain when the warnings of these years have landed on deaf ears. From shooting a war film with a messaging of anti-war, in a setup that felt like documentary since there were “so many cameras”, Kirsten Dunst explains what it was like working with such a brilliant cast and ofcourse husband, Jesse Plemons in Civil War.
