WhatsApp has informed India's Supreme Court that it will fully comply with NCLAT directions regarding user data privacy by March 16, 2026. The platform will stop forcing users to accept data-sharing with parent company Meta for non-core services, ensuring that data sharing is not a condition for using the app. This follows a legal battle over the 2021 privacy policy.
