Guinea 'provisionally' adopts new constitution after referendum

Guinea: Voters in Guinea overwhelmingly supported a new constitution in a referendum held on September 21, 2025, with approximately 90.6% voting in favor. The new charter allows transitional military leader Mamady Doumbouya to run for president and extends the presidential term from five to seven years with one re-election allowed.
