French president Emmanuel Macron sees path to ease Russia-Ukraine crisis

French president Emmanuel Macron became the first leader of a major western power to meet Vladimir Putin since Russia's military build-up near Ukraine. Macron called for calm as he shuttled between Moscow and Kyiv and said that he believes that steps can be taken to de-escalate the crisis.
