The European Parliament passed a resolution, condemning the forced conversion and marriage of a 13-year-old Christian girl named Maria Shahbaz in Lahore. Flagging human rights violations in Pakistan, it warned that a failure to implement its human rights commitments could result in the withdrawal of Pakistan's preferential trade benefits.
