Drone Blast in Romania Sparks Tensions as Bucharest Blames Russia, Moscow Rejects Claims

Romania has accused Russia of being responsible for a drone strike that injured a mother and child in the city of Galati near the Ukrainian border. Romanian officials say more than 30 drone incursions have been recorded this year, raising concerns about security along NATO's eastern flank. While Bucharest condemned the incident as a violation of international law, Russia's envoy to the United Nations called for an objective and depoliticised assessment of the situation. The episode has renewed fears about the conflict spilling beyond Ukraine's borders.
