Commerce Ministry permits work from home in Special Economic Zones
The Commerce Ministry announced on Tuesday that special economic zone units may allow up to 50 per cent of all workers to work from home for a maximum of one year. The Draft Labour Codes and India's labour laws do not acknowledge working from home as a legitimate job arrangement. The government requires an organisation to maintain statutory records.
