Australia has launched an investigation into major social media platforms over suspected violations of a strict law banning users under 16 from having accounts. The probe targets companies behind platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube, which regulators say may have failed to adequately prevent underage users from accessing their services.
