With the hope to save her, Callaca’s family rushed her to Referential Hospital Ferrenafe where the medics put her on life-support as they saw she had weak signs of life. Sadly, she was pronounced dead again a few hours later.&nbsp;

"We want to know why my niece reacted when we were taking her to be buried. We have the videos in which she pushes and touches the coffin,” her aunt told local media. 
 
What seemed like a miracle is what her family now looks at as a case of medical negligence. Callaca’s relatives are now seeking answers from the hospital as to how was she declared dead in the first place. They are of the belief that she may have been in coma after the car crash which probably was the reason why doctors declared her dead.&nbsp;

Peruvian police is investigating the records of Lambayeque Regional Hospital where she was admitted for treatment post the accident.&nbsp;

A story of miracle and hope is now a case of investigation.&nbsp;

As per the police report, the girl had reportedly stabbed the man in the neck "for revenge against US troops for the killing of Qassem Soleimani in 2020."

When he realised, the man pushed her off and immediately dialled 911. The girl also ran out as she told a hotel employee that she had just stabbed a man. While speaking to the investigator, she said that she had listened to a song called "Grave Digger," which "gave her the motivation… to carry out her revenge."

In 2020, former US President Donald Trump ordered the strike that killed Soleimani near Baghdad's airport along with his Iraqi lieutenant Abu Hamdi al-Muhandis.&nbsp;

Trump said at the time that the assassination came in response to a wave of attacks on US interests in Iraq.

On Thursday at 11 pm, the woman was attacked by a six-foot-tall male, who was wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and holding a cane, Essig said. &nbsp;

"This is an unprovoked, brutal and appalling crime on a woman, who was just trying to get home after a day's work," Essig added. &nbsp;

The woman also has a drop foot. It is a condition where the patient is unable to lift foot. It is unclear whether a nerve damage or a mental block has caused it, her brother said. &nbsp;&nbsp;

The woman, a resident of Henychesk, Kherson region, was seen voicing her outrage as Russia launched a full-scale attack on Ukraine, with tanks and jets covering various parts of the city and causing major destruction.

According to the video shared by Ukraine World news outlet on Twitter, the woman was seen offering sunflower seeds, the national flower of Ukraine, to the soldier, so that flowers might bloom when they die&nbsp;on Ukrainian land.

According to The Independent, the woman in the clip can be seen purportedly asking the soldiers, "Who are you?", to which a soldier standing in the street replies, “We have exercises here. Please go this way.”

After asking if they are Russians, she said: “So what the f*** are you doing here?”

When the soldiers tried to pacify her, the enraged woman said, "You’re occupants, you’re fascists! What the f*** are you doing on our land with all these guns?”

“Take these seeds and put them in your pockets, so at least sunflowers will grow when you all lie down here,” she said.

Ever since the video became viral, the woman has received an outpouring of support from many users.

"I got a few tiny, really itchy marks around my belly button that felt like nettle stings. I went to the doctors after a few days because it was getting more and more itchy and unbearable. They gave me some steroid creams, which didn’t really touch it and it was getting bigger – my belly was covered in red, itchy plaques," Fiona said. &nbsp;

"It was the third GP I went to see that said it looked like the condition Pemphigoid Gestationis and he referred me to a dermatologist, who gave me the strongest steroid cream you can get. It was like I was allergic to my own baby," Fiona added. &nbsp;&nbsp;

A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death inside her lower Manhattan apartment early Sunday by a man who had followed her from the street and into her building, police said.

The woman, whom police identified as Christina Yuna Lee, was the latest person of Asian descent injured or killed in a string of random attacks in New York City, many of them committed by people who had severe mental illness.

Surveillance video obtained by the New York Post shows Lee being trailed to her building on Chrystie Street in Chinatown by a man who catches the door behind her and follows her inside. In the video, Lee enters the building vestibule minutes before 4:30 a.m. and walks down the hallway and out of the camera’s view as the man, identified by police officials as Assamad Nash, 25, trails her.

Neighbors called police a short time later about a disturbance, police said, and when they got to the building, the door to Lee’s apartment was locked, and Nash had barricaded himself inside.

When Emergency Service Unit officers arrived and broke in, police officials said, Lee was found dead in her bathtub. Nash tried to escape out of a back window, police said. He was arrested inside the apartment, they said. He had cuts and lacerations and was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Lee was a Rutgers University graduate and worked as a senior creative producer at Splice, an online platform for digital music, a company spokesperson confirmed. She had also worked on photo and video campaigns for brands such as Marriott International and Equinox, according to her website.

Nash has a history of misdemeanor arrests, court records show, including an incident in September in Grand Street station, near the building where the killing occurred, when a 62-year man told police that Nash had punched him in the face after the man swiped his MetroCard for another passenger.

Though police have not called the killing a hate crime, attacks against Asian Americans have been on the rise since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. Last December, the Police Department reported that such attacks were up 361% from the previous year, and last month, Michelle Alyssa Go, a 40-year-old Asian American woman, was pushed to her death while waiting for a southbound R train at Times Square.

Last week, Jarrod Powell, 50, was charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime in the death of Yao Pan Ma, a 61-year-old Chinese immigrant, who died Dec. 31 from injuries he suffered in an East Harlem attack in April.

Police officials said it does not appear Lee knew her attacker or had any prior contact with him before he followed her home.

She lived in a six-story walk-up steps from the Grand Street subway station. As snow fell Sunday afternoon, police guarded the building, allowing only residents and detectives to enter. A small grocery store advertising cigarettes and soda in Chinese was shuttered.

Andrew Oaks, 30, who lives in the building, said that he was awake at 4:30 a.m. when he heard screams that “sounded like something out of a movie.” He added that he “thought nothing of it,” until he heard banging on the door and police began questioning residents later in the morning.

In a tweet Sunday afternoon, Mayor Eric Adams called the stabbing “horrific,” saying “we stand with our Asian community today.”

“While the suspect who committed this heinous act is now in custody, the conditions that created him remain,” Adams said in an official statement shortly after his tweet. “The mission of this administration is clear: We won’t let this violence go unchecked.”

Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou, who represents the district, called the details of the attack a “worst nightmare scenario.”

“She was still screaming and fighting for her life, and they weren’t able to get to her for almost an hour and a half,” Niou said.

She said she was emotionally drained from the string of rallies she and other Asian American community leaders have had to attend in recent weeks, including one two days ago about a Korean diplomat who was assaulted.

“This has happened so many times, and we have attended too many vigils,” she said.

Nash had been arrested at least four times last year on misdemeanor charges, including assault, harassment and selling a fare card, court records show. Three of the cases remain open, according to online court records. A spokesperson for the Legal Aid Society, which is representing him in the open matters, declined to comment.

Police released Nash with a desk-appearance ticket in the assault case and in an earlier arrest in connection with the unlawful sale of a fare card, according to court records shared by the Manhattan district attorney’s office. At his arraignment on Oct. 13 in the assault case, the judge released him without bail, the records show.

A Pakistani pregnant woman had her head hammered with nails on the advice of a faith healer so that she could give birth to a boy.

The injured woman was admitted at the Lady Reading Hospital in northwestern Peshawar city where she underwent surgery to remove the nail from her skull, according to local media reports.

The woman’s X-ray showed that the five-centimetre (two-inch) nail had pierced the top of the woman’s forehead but missed her brain.

“The family said that she was at home and became unconscious,” Dr Suleman told the Dawn newspaper.

He added that attempts were also made to remove the nail at her home.

"They tried to remove it at home, but could not," he said, adding that doctors successfully removed it after operating on the patient.

The woman is a mother to three daughters. It is said that the victim was allegedly threatened by her husband to give birth to a boy, and that he would abandon her if she gave birth to a fourth girl.

The local media reports claimed that the woman went to the faith healer after it was revealed through an ultrasound that she was about to give birth to a daughter again.

Meanwhile, Peshawar police have taken cognisance of the heinous incident, and are in the process of getting in touch with the couple.

The Capital City Police Peshawar (CCPO) Abbas Ahsan told Geo News TV that the victim support officers have been directed to meet the woman to counsel her and get details of the incident, adding that “a legal action will be taken against her husband and the culprits involved.”

'Unruly' woman passenger held after quarrel over face mask on US flight

A 28-year-old California woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to repeatedly punching a flight attendant in May, bloodying her face and chipping three teeth, federal prosecutors said, part of a surge in violent behavior by airline passengers in the past year.

The woman, Vyvianna M. Quinonez of Sacramento, California, was charged with interference with flight crew members and attendants, the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California said in a statement on Wednesday. She faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The assault unfolded toward the end of a Southwest Airlines flight from Sacramento to San Diego, prosecutors said. The flight attendant, who was not identified, had asked Quinonez to buckle her seat belt, put up her tray table and “wear her face mask properly,” the statement said.

Quinonez started filming the flight attendant on her phone and pushed the woman, prosecutors said.

The attack escalated from there, as captured on video by another passenger.

Quinonez, who was sitting in an aisle seat, stood up and punched the flight attendant in the face multiple times, according to the video. She also grabbed the flight attendant’s hair before the woman was able to move back up the aisle. Several passengers grabbed at Quinonez’s clothes to try to stop her, prosecutors said.

A man then “jumped in between” Quinonez and the flight attendant, prosecutors said.

“Hey, you better sit down,” he said in the video, using an expletive.

Quinonez responded, but it was not clear in the video what she said. Her mask had not been covering her nose, but she pulled it up.

“Don’t you dare touch a flight attendant like that,” the man said in the video.

The flight attendant was covering her face as blood streamed from beneath her left eye, according to the video. She walked away into the galley as multiple passengers yelled at Quinonez. “A child is here,” one woman said, referring to a boy sitting in the row in front of Quinonez.

Prosecutors said the flight attendant was taken to a hospital with injuries that included a swollen eye, a bruised arm and a cut under her eye that had to be stitched. They said she also had three chipped teeth, two of which had to be replaced with crowns.

Southwest Airlines did not comment Wednesday night.

Quinonez is set to be sentenced March 11, prosecutors said. It was not clear if Quinonez had a lawyer, and she did not respond Wednesday to messages left at a number listed under her name.

“The flight attendant who was assaulted was simply doing her job,” Randy Grossman, the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, said in the statement. “It’s inexcusable for anyone to use violence on an airplane for any reason.”

After the attack, both Southwest and American Airlines announced in May that they would continue a suspension of alcohol service on flights in an effort to stop the surge of unruly passenger behavior.

Since Jan. 1, the Federal Aviation Administration has received about 5,700 reports of unruly passengers, including more than 4,100 reports of passengers refusing to comply with a federal mandate that they wear masks on planes.

The flight attendant, who was not identified, had asked Quinonez to buckle her seat belt, put up her tray table and “wear her face mask properly,” the statement said. Quinonez started filming the flight attendant on her phone and pushed the woman, prosecutors said. The attack escalated from there, as captured on video by another passenger. Quinonez, who was sitting in an aisle seat, stood up and punched the flight attendant in the face multiple times, according to the video. She also grabbed the flight attendant’s hair before the woman was able to move back up the aisle. Several passengers grabbed at Quinonez’s clothes to try to stop her, prosecutors said. Quinonez responded, but it was not clear in the video what she said. Her mask had not been covering her nose, but she pulled it up. “Don’t you dare touch a flight attendant like that,” the man said in the video. The flight attendant was covering her face as blood streamed from beneath her left eye, according to the video. She walked away into the galley as multiple passengers yelled at Quinonez. “A child is here,” one woman said, referring to a boy sitting in the row in front of Quinonez. Prosecutors said the flight attendant was taken to a hospital with injuries that included a swollen eye, a bruised arm and a cut under her eye that had to be stitched. They said she also had three chipped teeth, two of which had to be replaced with crowns. Southwest Airlines did not comment Wednesday night. Quinonez is set to be sentenced March 11, prosecutors said. It was not clear if Quinonez had a lawyer, and she did not respond Wednesday to messages left at a number listed under her name. “The flight attendant who was assaulted was simply doing her job,” Randy Grossman, the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, said in the statement. “It’s inexcusable for anyone to use violence on an airplane for any reason.” After the attack, both Southwest and American Airlines announced in May that they would continue a suspension of alcohol service on flights in an effort to stop the surge of unruly passenger behavior. Dr Narvey said, “I thought I had seen it all but then a 33-year-old woman comes in with a 14-day history of menstrual bleeding and 49 days since her last menstrual period." &nbsp;

On examination of the patient, the doctor unearthed an ectopic pregnancy in the liver of the woman, reported The Sun.&nbsp;

In simple terms, an ectopic pregnancy means a condition when a fertilised egg, instead of getting implanted in the uterine cavity, gets stuck in any other part of the body. &nbsp;

The surgeons saved the life of woman by removing the foetus, who couldn't be saved. &nbsp;
