As per the report, the teen sent the video to his friends on WhatsApp.&nbsp;The incident took place in Vidal Ramos city in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.

<h2>Police investigate killing of puppies</h2>

On October 17, the footage of the incident went viral and came to the attention of the Santa Catarina Police and a unit was dispatched to the home of the teenager.&nbsp;

"The father was working at the time the police arrived at the scene," said police captain Armo Senem, while speaking to CNN Brasil.&nbsp;

"As the video was from an earlier date, there was no evidence of the incident, but a report was filed to the Civil Police," he added.&nbsp;

However, since the boy is between the age of 12 and 18, the police said can be held responsible for his actions and get subjected to socio-educational measures as per the&nbsp;Child and Adolescent Statute.

Eric Kilburn Jr, who is a football player and studies at Goodrich High School, has huge feet each measuring 13 ½ inches, which is much larger than a typical range of 8 ½ to 9 for a male.

His hands, meanwhile, are 9.13 inches in size, which is much larger than the average 7.4 inches.&nbsp;

After the diagnosis, the girl had to undergo a surgical tracheostomy – in which an opening was made in her windpipe which was below her voice box – to support her breath.

As per the event's new case report, the impact of COVID-19 on the nervous system may lead to paralysis of the vocal cord in rare cases. The authors said that this is the first case of a teenager suffering vocal cord paralysis after she was diagnosed with COVID-19, although there were reports of adults suffering from similar conditions.

<h2>Doctors investigate girl's symptoms</h2>

Thirteen days after the 15-year-old girl tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, she was taken to the hospital emergency department. Her initial symptoms were fever, congestion and fatigue, which improved after five days. However, after nine days of getting tested, she said that she is facing trouble breathing, especially when she is active. 
 
It was noted by emergency department doctors that her breathing was rapid and noisy while inhaling, which indicated obstructed airflow, although her oxygen levels remained normal. Tests for respiratory infections, including SARS-CoV-2, came negative. 
 
The girl, who had a history of anxiety and asthma, was given bronchodilators and steroids for a suspected asthma attack, however, that didn't help.

The trial was held behind closed doors taking into consideration the age of the defendants at the time of the events, which ranged from 13 to 15 years.

Out of six, five on trial, who were aged between 14 to 15 years at the time of Paty's murder, were being tried for criminal conspiracy with intent to cause violence.

They were accused of being involved in a premeditated criminal conspiracy in exchange for money.

Four of them received suspended sentences of between 14 and 18 months.

The fifth was sentenced to two-year-imprisonment, however, 18 months of that was suspended and the teenager was set to be released with an electronic tag for the remaining six months.

The sixth out of the lot was a girl, who was 13 at the time of the incident. She was accused of making false allegations about the deceased victim stating that he had asked Muslim students to identify themselves and leave the classroom before he showed the cartoons, even though she wasn't present in the class at that time.

She was handed an 18-month suspended sentence and put on probation measures for two years.

A 17-year-old from New Hampshire in the USA has been indicted for the&nbsp;murder of his sister-in-law and his nephews aged 1 and 4. The grand jury indicted Eric Sweeney on three counts of first-degree murder for purposely causing the deaths of 25-year-old Kassandra Sweeney, her 4-year-old son&nbsp;Benjamin and 23-month-old son Mason in their home in Northfield, New Hampshire on August 3, 2022, reported multiple US news outlets.

Australia: Sydney teenager in coma after allegedly being dragged 2 km by car

A teenager lost his life late on Wednesday (September 7), after a collision between his motorbike and police vehicle west of Paris, said the police sources.&nbsp;

The 16-year-old is reportedly accused of failing to comply with police officers, said a police source, further adding that he was being "followed at a distance" by a police car through Elancourt, a town around 30 kilometres (almost 20 miles) outside Paris.

He banged into "another police vehicle" at an intersection, the source added, as per news agency AFP reports.&nbsp;

The collision between the vehicles took place at around 6:40 pm (1640 GMT), said a second police source, according to AFP.

Prosecutors said that initially, the teenager was revived from respiratory and cardiac arrest by first responders and brought to the hospital, but later, he succumbed to the injuries that he sustained in the crash.

The prosecutors further added that they were investigating the allegations levelled against the deceased by the police and also the involuntary homicide at the wheel.

They also said that two police officers were held in custody pending a manslaughter probe and were being interrogated.

As per AFP reports, extra police force was deployed in Elancourt, a town of 25,000 people, to thwart any probable unrest.

Government spokesman Olivier Veran said the investigations would determine the "exact circumstances" of Wednesday's collision.

"Obviously I am calling for calm.... I am calling for restraint and careful consideration," he said on France Inter radio.

"Regardless of how dramatic a situation is, it needs answers that we do not yet have."

Wednesday's incident came almost a month after a 17-year-old boy was shot by a police officer in the Paris suburb of Nanterre for fleeing a traffic check which triggered massive riots in the country.

France: Teenager dies after bike's collision with police vehicle

Prosecutors on Friday charged a 16-year-old boy with murder over the fatal stabbing of his Spanish teacher during class earlier this week in southwest France, his lawyer said.

The teenager reported a "little voice" suggested he kill Agnes Lassalle, 52, at the school in the southwestern seaside town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz on Wednesday, according to a prosecutor.

Lawyer Thierry Sagardoytho told journalists that his client would be held in custody at an unnamed "facility that will take into account his youth and the care he needs".

"We are speaking about a young man who was previously not on any judicial or school radar and who acted suddenly based on personal motives that I will not divulge publicly but that need to be probed by psychiatrists," he said.

This was necessary to determine whether he might have suffered from "altered" judgement, the lawyer said, adding that he had been shocked by the results of an initial psychiatric examination of the boy while in detention.

Prosecutor Jerome Bourrier said on Thursday that this first assessment showed the teenager suffered from "a form of reactive anxiety that could trouble his judgement".

Vedant's father is an electrical engineer while his mother is a Computer Science professor. Like every other teen, Vedant likes to use smartphones, laptops and other digital devices.

Worried that he was too engrossed in playing video games, his mother thought of teaching him coding. However, after initial training from his mother, it was his effort that sharpened his coding skills.

Vedant searched online for coding courses and completed 24 of them.&nbsp;

One day, when he was browsing Instagram, he stumbled upon the coding competition and decided to enter the fray. There were more than a thousand participants from across the world.&nbsp;

The family was stunned when Infolinks sent an offer letter via e-mail. They even thought that it was a fake offer. But when Vedant's teacher did some verification, it turned out that the offer was indeed genuine.

"We were elated when he got the offer. He was selected from among a thousand developers. This is big. We are proud of him," said Ashwini Devkate, Vedant's mother.

To hide the smell of the decomposed body, boy used a room freshener. When the smell got uncontrollable, he informed his father, who is an Army personnel, about the incident, the police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;

"The incident took place in Yamunapuram Colony under PGI police station area. The deceased used to live with her two children at the house. Her husband, who is a JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer), is currently posted in West Bengal," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Qasim Abidi said. &nbsp;

In the breaker, Alcaraz rallied from a 5-3 deficit and won it when Hurkacz's volley found the net, leading the hard-hitting Pole to the throw his racket to the court in frustration.

Alcaraz saved two break points at 5-5 in the second set with help from a flurry of unforced errors by Hurkacz and in the second breaker, delivered yet another perfectly executed drop shot to set up match point.

&nbsp;A police officer in Australia was found not guilty on Friday in the death of a 19-year-old Indigenous man whose shooting more than two years ago prompted widespread protests and worsened long-simmering tensions over the government’s treatment of the country’s native peoples.

The officer, Zachary Rolfe, 30, had been charged with murder and other counts after killing the teenager, Kumanjayi Walker, during an attempted arrest in a remote Australian community. After a closely watched trial that lasted over a month and featured testimony from more than 40 witnesses, Rolfe was cleared of all charges by a jury in the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in Darwin.

The prosecution had argued that Rolfe used excessive force and did not need to shoot Walker two additional times after the first shot. The defence argued that Rolfe, who had been stabbed by Walker with medical scissors as officers tried to apprehend him, had acted in self-defence.

Many Indigenous Australians had seen the case as a test of whether authorities could be held accountable after what they call decades of abuses. While no police officer has been convicted of murdering an Indigenous person in Australia, nearly 500 Indigenous people have died in police custody since 1991, when a royal commission made 339 recommendations to reduce such deaths.

“We kind of knew there was only a slim chance, but we hoped so hard,” said Yasmine Musharbash, a senior lecturer in anthropology at the Australian National University who has been living in Yuendumu, where Walker was killed, and who was with members of the community who gathered in the city of Alice Springs to hear the verdict announced.

In the weeks after Walker’s death in November 2019, people throughout the country turned out at dozens of protests against police brutality toward Indigenous Australians, who are roughly 12 times as likely to be in custody as non-Indigenous Australians.

For the last five weeks, many relatives and friends of Walker had gathered on the lawn in front of the courthouse in Alice Springs, where the case was broadcast, choosing to remain outside to avoid the trauma of hearing the details of his death again.

But on Friday, after a deliberation of seven hours by the jury, they filed in to hear the verdict.

“As they read through each charge and the jury said ‘not guilty,’ and then the next one is ‘not guilty,’ and the next one is ‘not guilty’ as well — we all sat there and quietly cried,” Musharbash said.

Robin Japanangka Granites, a Yuendumu community elder who was also at the courthouse in Alice Springs, said: “We’re just feeling a bit heartbroken. Today was a time when it went not our way, but the opposite.”

On the Thursday before his death, Walker, armed with an ax, had a run-in with members of the local police force in Yuendumu as they tried to arrest him for breaching a suspended sentence. He had been released from prison the month before after serving time for property crime charges and was supposed to be at a rehabilitation facility in Alice Springs.

Three days later, on Saturday, Rolfe and another officer entered the home of Walker’s grandmother, also in Yuendumu, which has a population of about 750 people and where Walker had gone for his grandfather’s funeral.

In the scuffle, Walker stabbed Rolfe in the shoulder with a pair of medical scissors. A fellow officer restrained Walker on the ground, and Rolfe shot him three times.

In the hours that followed, Walker did not receive adequate medical care, because staff members had evacuated the health clinic in Yuendumu earlier in the day over safety concerns after a number of break-ins. The nearest clinic was some 40 miles away. Though his relatives waited for news outside the police station, they were not told of his death until 10 hours later.

Speaking to reporters outside court in Darwin on Friday, Rolfe’s attorney, David Edwardson, said there had been no winners in the case. “A young man died, and that’s tragic,” he said. He added: “At the same time, Zachary Rolfe, in my view, was wrongly charged in the first place. It was an appalling investigation and very much regretted.”

After the verdict, Rolfe hugged supporters and family members, while Walker’s relatives let out wails of anguish. Rolfe is expected to return to his job as a police officer in the Northern Territory.

Residents of remote Australian communities, which have large Indigenous populations and are among the poorest in Australia, are not necessarily hostile to the police, Musharbash said.

“People are so incredibly good at distinguishing between people who stand with them and people who are dangerous to them, and they make that distinction for police, too,” she said. “They know what a good copper is like, and they love a good copper.”

But there is a strong sense in the community that the police should not use guns and should have some awareness of their needs, she added. Rolfe, who grew up in a wealthy family in Canberra, the capital, and spent years in the army before joining the police force, had never visited Yuendumu before the day of Walker’s death.

At a news conference outside the courthouse, Valerie Napaljarri Martin, an advocate for the Yuendumu community, spoke of the “anger and grief” of those who knew Walker.

“We demand an end to guns in our communities,” she said. “We have every right to speak and to say: This must stop. Do not silence us.”

"It was a tough decision to quit playing Ranji Trophy for the Services. I loved being an Indian Air Force man and part of Indian defence but there was a part of me that felt that I have it in me to work hard and play for India," the cricketer, who hails from UP's Baghpat District said.

Hailing from a middle-class family, his father worked as a JE (Junior Engineer) at the All India Radio. His parents were firmly supportive of his decision to trade profession with passion.

"It is amazing that when I told my parents that I am leaving Air-force job, they didn't for once asked me to reconsider. Both were very supportive of my choice.

"It was my decision to leave IAF but when I saw that parents were supportive, I got a lot of confidence to independently pursue my dream," Saurabh said.

There is something about left-arm spinners that make them special and one of the character traits is the doggedness which Saurabh believes that he had in abundance.

"Now, we stay in Ghaziabad but during those early days of playing cricket in Delhi, it was a big ordeal. In my town Baraut in Baghpat district, we didn't have great coaching facilities. So I had to take a daily train to come to Delhi for my training at National Stadium," he said.

For the uninitiated, Saurabh's coach is Sunita Sharma, the only female cricket Droancharya in India, whose other notable disciple is former keeper Deep Dasgupta.

"If I had a 2:00pm afternoon nets. I left home at 10 am in the morning. It would be a three and half hour train journey and another half an hour to reach the stadium. And same while coming back. It was tough but that's what helped me when I look back," said the man, who had 95 wickets in last two first-class seasons (2018-19, 2019-20). 
 
"When you are 15 or 16 year old, you don't realise. Aap mein junoon itna hota hai, ki kuch bhi aapko mushkil nahi agta hai sir (When you have so much passion, nothing looks difficult)."

One of the turning points for Saurabh as a young cricketer was coming under legendary Bishan Singh Bedi's tutelage. Back in the day, Bedi used to organise Summer Camps and a lot of youngsters practiced over there.

"Bedi sir liked what he saw in my bowling. He introduced me to the world of nuance about little things on grip and stuff. No major changes as he liked my action and loved the areas I bowled into.

"One thing that happened during those Summer Camps was I got a chance to bowl hundreds of overs. Bedi sir had one mantra "Mehnat mein kaami nahi honi chhaiye". There should be no short cut to success," he added.

Once he entered the UP age-group teams, it was former state keeper Manoj Mudgal, who backed him a lot and the result is 196 wickets and 1572 runs from 46 first-class games.

Unlucky to miss Irani Cup

Saurabh during his two seasons of 51 and 44 wickets had once got a call-up for Irani Cup which had to be called off due to COVID-19 in 2020.

"When I was picked for Rest of India, I knew that I am now on the radar of selectors. I had been bowing pretty well and was confident but then it didn't happen and I lost my chance to showcase my talent in Irani Cup."

But he continued working hard.

"Main kisi bhi cheez mein laga reh sakta hoon. I can work hard for long hours without any fuss."

Life was about to change as he finally got an India A call-up to go to South Africa and played two A Tests in Bloemfontein. He must have impressed the coaches as the senior team then kept him as a stand by bowler for the Test series.

"It was a dream come true as I got a chance to bowl to the senior India players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul. It was a massive learning curve for me. They gave valuable tips that will help me improve as a bowler."

The incident took place in Ladgaon village in rural area of the district around 12:30 pm on Sunday. Police suspect that mother and son even took a selfie with the severed head.

The accused, Shobhabai Mote and her 18-year-old son were unhappy about Kirti's (19) decision of marrying her friend Avinash (21). Kirti stayed with Avinash in latter's house in Ladgaon. She was two-months pregnant.&nbsp;

On Sunday, Mote along with her son went to Kirti's house on a bike. Kirti, who was working in field, was delighted to see them and ushered them inside.

Once in the house, Kirti's brother attacked her from behind while their mother held her feet. Media reports quoting police officials have said that there is a suspicion that mother-son duo took selfie with Kirti's severed head. The phone has been sent for forensic analysis to retrieve the images.

At the time of Kirti's murder, her husband Avinash was resting in the house not anticipating such a situation.
