Even though we are very experienced in Spanish football and European football, we don’t pretend to transfer it to Indian players right away,” Sevilla FC CEO Jose Maria Cruz told WION during a media interaction.

Our intention is to create an interest for Sevilla FC, make more people follow and love Sevilla FC and also knowing the city of Seville. On the other hand, our agreement with this team is more than a sporting agreement. Our agreement is with a group of top Indian entrepreneurs and we want to learn and participate in some of the groups of these entrepreneurs,” Cruz explained.

“Firstly, in charity and social projects and secondly, in high-technology projects. I see India as a country with young people with a lot of capacity in new technology and Sevilla FC want to participate in new projects of technology which can be applied in the football industry. We have to apply ourselves and learn at the same time. In this case, we will not provide knowledge in first but gather it to help Indian football on a long-term basis,” he added.

He was 35.

Reyes, who shot to fame at Sevilla before a switch to Arsenal followed by spells at Real and Atletico Madrid, was on the books with second tier Spanish club Extremadura.

"We couldn't be confirming worse news. Beloved Sevilla star Jose Antonio Reyes has died in a traffic collision. Rest in peace," Sevilla, where he spent two four-year spells, said on Twitter.

Lionel Messi hit a sumptuous hat-trick, the 50th of his career, to inspire Barcelona to a 4-2 victory over Sevilla on Saturday and take them one step closer to winning La Liga.

Messi was supposed to be lacking fitness and Barca struggling for form but both delivered a resounding response at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, with two matches against Real Madrid just around the corner.

After scoring 11 goals in nine games, Messi's thigh strain had coincided with a dip by his own high standards, one goal in four prompting concerns that he was being pushed too far.

But the Argentinian was back to his scintillating best, this was his 44th treble for Barcelona, now the joint most for a Spanish club alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, rounded off by a trademark chip late on.&nbsp;

According to initial reports, a group of Lazio fans wearing masks and armed with truncheons and knives attacked some young people and Sevilla fans who were on Leonina Street, wounding some of them in the legs. 
 
More than 2,000 Sevilla fans traveled to the Italian capital to attend the match scheduled to begin at 6:55 pm Thursday at Olimpico Stadium. 
 
The Spanish fans will have to gather on Thursday on Piazzale delle Canestre, from where public bus service will be provided to Olimpico Stadium at 4 pm, according to security announcements published by Italian police.

David de Gea deflected the attention away from Paul Pogba with another spectacular display of goalkeeping as Manchester United came away from their Champions League last 16, first leg against Sevilla in Spain with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday.

De Gea made two breathtaking saves to deny Steven N`Zonzi and Luis Muriel at the end of the first half at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, denying Sevilla a lead to take to England for next month`s return.

Sevilla were the more likely side, with United offering little going forward despite the presence of Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata in their attack.

Lukaku had a late goal disallowed, but United`s was the kind of cautious approach seen time and again in such games by Mourinho`s teams down the years.

Their inability, unwillingness even, to get an away goal leaves the tie wide open ahead of the second leg, with United looking to reach the quarter-finals in their first appearance in the knockout stage of the Champions League since 2014.

&quot;The only moment where we felt relieved was in the last couple of moments of the first half when from a couple of our mistakes in possession they had a couple of good situations and De Gea made good saves,&quot; said Mourinho.

His team managed just one attempt on target to Sevilla`s eight, but Mourinho added: &quot;Apart from that the game was even, but the statistics are what they are.
