"Civil servants and public institution staff are still entitled to subsidised medical assistance insurance on top of the employee health insurance scheme," political risk consultancy firm SinoInsider said in a note to AFP.&nbsp;

"Senior and retired CCP (Chinese Communist Party) cadres have long had access to generous medical treatments at public expense and without having to pay for basic healthcare insurance.&nbsp;Local governments could compromise and meet protester demands early" rather than engage in a drawn-out dispute," the firm added.&nbsp;

The incident took place outside the Suites hotel, where 15 people between the ages of 13 and 54 were arrested including 13 men and two women. “A number of individuals who turned up at the Suites Hotel last night were intent on using a planned protest to carry out violent and despicable behaviour,” said Serena Kennedy, the chief constable of Merseyside police, as per the Guardian.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the chief constable also said that there were multiple injuries including one of the police officers and “it is only through luck that no one was more seriously injured or worse.” She added, “All of those arrested will now be questioned and we will continue to gather all evidence as part of this investigation and our officers are continuing to examine CCTV footage in a bid to identify anyone else involved,” reported the Guardian.

“Social media speculation, misinformation and rumour can actually damage the outcome of investigations and cause unnecessary fear and consequent behaviour, so I would continue to ask people to be mindful of the damage that such actions can cause,” said Kennedy. The local police have also said that they would enforce a dispersal order for the next two days around the Suites Hotel while extra officers will be placed to carry out high-visibility policing in a bid to prevent further incidents, reported Reuters.&nbsp;

A multiparty dialogue was called by Peruvian President Dina Boluarte on Friday to end the political crisis which has gripped the nation, stating that Peru has a “fragile democracy” at present because of two months of deadly anti-government protests raging across the country.&nbsp;On December 7, Boluarte became the country's president, after the impeachment and arrest of her predecessor Pedro Castillo who had tried to dissolve Congress and rule by decree.

However, since then, Boluarte has been facing opposition from protesters who have asked her to resign and demanded fresh elections.

The protests have turned violent&nbsp;and&nbsp;a new death was reported by officials on Friday, bringing the toll of the people killed amid clashes between protesters and security forces to 49.

"We are living in a fragile democracy," Boluarte said after she refused to resign and also failed to convince Congress to hold elections,&nbsp;which are due in 2026,&nbsp;earlier.

"I think it is the most fragile in Latin America, but it is within Peruvians, within us, to strengthen democracy," Boluarte said while speaking at a press conference, which was also attended by her cabinet ministers.

Boluarte is the sixth president of Peru since March 2018 and the first woman to hold the position.

She was vice president under Castillo before the former president was ousted and charges of rebellion imposed on him.

The fiercest protests have taken place against her in poor southern regions where the population is largely Indigenous and who see Castillo as one of their own.

The protesters have also raised demands for Congress' dissolution and a constituent assembly's formation for rewriting the constitution, which the right-wing opposition rejected.

"In search of peace, I openly call all political leaders of every single party, but also the leaders of social and labour organisations, everyone in general so that we can meet and put the country's agenda on the table," Boluarte said.

In the press conference, Boluarte expressed grief over the death of a 22-year-old who was shot in Apurimac, where the president was born.

"Application-based car services such as Uber and Cabify are available in many Mexican cities, and generally offer another safe alternative to taxis. Official complaints against Uber and other drivers do occur," the statement said adding, "past disputes between these services and local taxi unions have occasionally turned violent, resulting in injuries to US citizens in some instances."&nbsp;

Uber vs. Taxi Conflict: US issues security alert to citizens after protests in Mexico

Three female journalists have been arrested by Iranian authorities in the last two days, stated the local media on Monday, amid continued protests against the government after the death of Mahsa Amini in judicial custody.&nbsp;

Violent protests have gripped Iran since the 22-year-old Iranian Kurd died on September 16 after she was arrested by the morality police for failing to follow the strict dress code for women in the country.&nbsp;

The authorities stated that hundreds of citizens, which includes security officials, have lost their lives and thousands of people have been arrested in what they call “riots” triggered by the “enemies” of the Islamic republic.

The paper stated that the officials have transferred three journalists to Evin prison where many people who were arrested earlier in connection with the protests have been locked.&nbsp;

According to the estimates, since the unrest triggered in Israel four months ago, 80 journalists have been so far arrested. The officials gave no reasons for the latest arrests of journalists.&nbsp;
