We begged them to give us a U/A certificate (children below 12 years of age can watch a film under parental guidance) but they didn't. We tried to convince them till the very end... But then they walked some distance, we walked some distance. The film has been released with modifications..." he said.</p>

<p>Further talking, Rai said that the film will be released on the OTT platform without any cuts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He said: "We are happy people have loved the film. The intent of the film was pure. Nobody wanted to titillate the audience, hence they liked it. We have dealt with it (the story) in a way that doesn't sound vulgar. We talk about the reality, but in a sweet and humorous way."</p>

<p>CBFC passed the film with around 20 cuts and even asked to change Akshay's character from Lord Shiva to his messenger.</p>

<p>“After all the discussions, the film has been passed without any cuts. There are some scenes, dialogues and characters which have been modified by the makers after discussion with the censor board members,” a source told back then.&nbsp;</p>

<p><em>OMG 2</em> is a sequel to the 2012 film <em>OMG </em>which also starred Akshay Kumar in the lead. In the first, he played the role of Lord Krishna, who lands on earth to save his devotee Paresh Rawal.</p>

OMG 2 leaked online! Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi & Yami Gautam's film hit by piracy bug

<p>A revision committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a U/A certificate to Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi's new film <em>OMG: Oh My God 2</em>. The committee has also ordered 27 cuts in the film which is slated to release in theatres on 11 August. The film also features Yami Gautam.&nbsp;<br />

The producers have now changed the beginning to comply with CBFC guidelines, and it will now be played with a voiceover. Akshay Kumar, who was originally cast as Lord Shiva in the film, will now play the Messenger of God.<br />

The makers unveiled the trailer of the film on Thursday- just a week ahead of its official release. The film's trailer was not released prior as the Censor Board was going through the film. The move was taken as a precaution after Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon starrer <em>Adipurush</em> received severe backlash from the audience in June this year.&nbsp;<br />

According to reports, all frontal nudity visuals have been removed and replaced with appropriate Naga Sadhus visuals in OMG 2. The scene in which Akshay Kumar's character meditates and bathes, which was presumably also shown in teaser, was also replaced. There are also scenes of his character getting drunk, which have now been altered.<br />

Several dialogues have been altered and all references to alcohol were removed. A dialogue about the High Court was also removed because it was deemed vulgar and defamatory.&nbsp;<br />

The word "rat" was removed from the label of the rat poison bottle. Furthermore, references to Shivling, Shri Bhagavad Gita, Upanishad, Atharvaved, Draupadi, Pandav, Krishna, Gopiyan, and Raasleela were removed from an important dialogue.<br />

The film, which was originally set in Ujjain, is now set in a different location. The board also requested that all visuals, verbal references, and other references to people in positions of authority, such as Mahant, be removed.&nbsp;<br />

The makers were asked to provide documentary evidence for the facts and statistics mentioned in the film regarding sexual acts. The film has been altered by 13 minutes by the CBFC. The film is now 2 hours and 36 minutes long.<br />

<p>Akshay Kumar’s upcoming feature <em>OMG 2</em> now has an ‘A' or 'Adults Only’ certificate from the censor board. This comes just days after the film was pushed for review by the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC).</p>

<p>Reports suggest that CBFC has suggested “no cuts” but only modifications for the Akshay Kumar starrer. Sources cited in the reports suggest, “after all the discussions, the film has been passed without any cuts. There are some scenes, dialogues and characters which have been modified by the makers after discussion with the censor board members.”</p>

<p>Reportedly, among the 20 cuts that the Indian censor body CBFC has asked for, they want OMG 2’s team to change Akshay Kumar’s character from Lord Shiva to that of his doot (herald).&nbsp;</p>

<p>This could mean that the OMG 2 team will have to change or delete several sequences where Akshay Kumar is shown assuming the Blue skin complexion of Lord Shiva.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Om Raut's <em>Adipurush </em>courted several controversies ever since it was released last month. The film stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.<br />

The film faced criticism over its dialogues, costumes, and graphics. Since its release, there have also been sporadic protests against <em>Adipurush</em>, with many raising objections over the depiction of its characters claiming it hurt the sentiments of people, who have grown up watching the Doordarshan show Ramayan.</p>
