<p>"Reena and I were married for 16 years and when we broke up it was traumatic for me for her and both our families. But we tried to deal with it as best as we could. It did not mean that I lost respect for Reena, or for that matter, I lost my love for Reena. She is a really wonderful person," said the actor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The actor though stated that he was lucky to have spent 16 years of his life with his former wife. "I am lucky that I had the opportunity to be with her for 16 years. That enriched me and we grew up together. We were very young when we got married. I give a value to that and I'm glad that she does to".</p>

<p>Reena and Aamir have two children together- Junaid and Ira. Aamir also revealed how Junaid was eager to become an actor and a filmmaker.&nbsp;Aamir is now married to filmmaker Kiran Rao and they have a son whom they have named Azaad.&nbsp;</p>

It was the only show that had Bollywood stars at their candid best especially because of the host, Karan Johar. It used to be a fun banter seeing A-list stars comment on B-Town relationships, speak about their peers and their personal dynamics on national television with their guards down.&nbsp;</p>

<p>That was in 2004, a time when social media boom was yet to hit India, a time when stars were still inaccessible to the general public. More than a decade later, with Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook becoming a common feature in every part of the country, a lot has changed except for Johar's show. Johar continues to demean actors by asking his guests to rank their sex appeal, acting talent and looks. The show continues to only call actors who are close to the host himself and they continue to discuss things that are irrelevant to the general public.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the first episode, Johar began by congratulating Deepika and Alia on the success of 'Padmaavat' and 'Raazi'. But the conversation clearly steered towards the actresses personal lives as the host admitted he is 'not interested in your professional life'. The show went downhill from there with Deepika being constantly asked about what she felt about her ex Ranbir Kapoor dating Alia Bhatt now and when would she be getting married to her now boyfriend Ranveer Singh. Deepika being her diplomatic self, constantly gave practised answers without really divulging much details about her wedding(which she eventually confirmed herself on social media on Sunday afternoon), relationships or Ranbir Kapoor.</p>

<p>At one point Karan decided to decode a party that he had organised recently that had Ranbir and Ranveer in attendance. In his own words, he wanted to see the dynamics in the room that all the actors shared. What is this, a human experiment in KJo's land in the garb of a get-together? Who calls people over and then goes on to discuss their guests' personal dynamics on national television?&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a later segment, Johar made the two women identify actors based on pictures of their bare torso and even made them sing a song from his film which featured -no prizes for guessing- Ranbir Kapoor. The episode, in a nutshell, could be called a fantasy that Johar played out on national TV. It was not for our entertainment purpose&nbsp;but solely for his own.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bollywood is undergoing sea change at this moment. The #MeToo movement has not only started a dialogue on sexual harassment at workplaces but also highlighted the predatory behaviour of some prominent names in the film industry. Yet, on Sunday, Johar spoke about the 'Most beautiful eyes' in Bollywood, a party that he had organised to understand the dynamics of two contemporary actors and selfies and pouts on social media. No mention of nepotism, no mention of the #MeToo movement, no mention of the films or other actors who have been making news in the country.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Instead, the same old questions on sex appeal, on relationships statuses, on what Deepika feels about her ex dating a new woman were asked on the show. Questions that Johar has been asking to his guests over a decade now. Which may have seemed interesting in 2004 but in 2018, with stars being accessible on social media, seem jaded.</p>

<p>Johar is an influential name in Bollywood. Because of the commercial successes of his films and his ability to show his versatility on various platforms, Johar enjoys a cult status like no other in this country. Which is why it is appalling to see him indulge&nbsp;in such mindless banter year after year which is repetitive and demeaning. Surely he can use this show to discuss pertinent issues. His guests are mostly his friends and no one can make them comment on issues as candidly as Johar can.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I don't want to know what kind of dynamics Ranbir and Ranveer shared at a party that Johar organised. I am not keen to know about Deepika and Alia's comfort level and if they took loo breaks together during concerts. Let's move beyond airport and gym looks and stop rating actors and their sex appeal.</p>

<p>It's 2018, there are pertinent things to talk about, good films and great talents to be lauded and Johar's dining room gossip is not fun anymore.&nbsp;</p>

The two actors, who have always been lauded for their acting prowess, delivered commercial successes and currently the favourite poster boys of Bollywood. Needless to say, the two popular stars have found a place in the esteemed list of guests who will feature in 'Koffee With Karan' this year.&nbsp;<br />

The show's host, Karan Johar, shared an image with the two actors on Monday afternoon. The two actors shot for the episode and will be appearing on the show together. This will be the first time that the two will appear on the show.&nbsp;</p>

Koffee With Karan: Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal to make their debut on the show

<p>Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor have come close since the time,Sridevi, Janhvi's mother passed away.</p>

<p>After a candid chat on Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan's sixth season, the brother-sister pair has developed a good bonding with each other.</p>

<p>On Arjun Kapoor's bonding with Janhvi Kapoor, the 'Namaste England' actor said, “When Karan Johar told me that this was the combination, I was pleasantly surprised, because I am the buffoon and prankster on Koffee With Karan. I thought that I'll get to spend some time with Janhvi. Honestly, I haven't been able to spend time with her. In February (when Sridevi passed away) I was shooting for Namaste England.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also said, "I literally entered into their lives as the whirlwind of chaos. I did my bit and whatever I could. My sister allowed to welcome them as our family, or at least put them at ease at that moment, and simplify things as much as we could by being supportive. And, then I had to disappear and go work. She had Dhadak releasing. When the trailer came out, I was not in town, and when the film was releasing, I came back a day before. Now I was away for 'India's Most Wanted'(next film) for a month-and-a-half in Nepal. So, I have also kind of been away from her and Khushi Kapoor. I've met them in between. We've had dinners at home and obviously, they spend a lot more time with Anshula Kapoor, and so with my dad (Boney Kapoor). Now that I look back, I haven't spent any time with them. I felt it was a nice way of me getting to know her.”</p>

<p>The actor went on to appreciate his sister, Janhvi Kapoor and said, “I did get to know her a lot better, off camera also. She's a very sorted girl. She had Dhadak releasing. When the trailer came out, I was not in town, and when the film was releasing, I came back a day before. Now I was away for 'India's Most Wanted'(next film) for a month-and-a-half in Nepal. So, I have also kind of been away from her and Khushi Kapoor. I've met them in between. We've had dinners at home and obviously, they spend a lot more time with Anshula Kapoor, and so with my dad (Boney Kapoor). Now that I look back, I haven't spent any time with them. <p>Karan Johar’s famous TV chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ is back and it has promised to bring some interesting on-screen pairs. While <a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/confirmed-deepika-padukone-and-alia-bhatt-will-be-first-guests-koffee-karan-6-168165">Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone </a>were announced to come on the first episode of the sixth season, brother-sister duo <a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/arjun-kapoor-and-janhvi-kapoor-to-be-the-guests-on-koffee-with-karan-169778">Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor</a> shot for another. Father-daughter duo<a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/saif-ali-khan-daughter-sara-are-first-guests-koffee-karan-6-169269"> Saif Ali Khan and Sara</a> were also spotted shooting for an episode.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Interestingly, reports suggest that Katrina Kaif will come on the chat show for the first time with Varun Dhawan. The two are said to have a great rapport off-screen and are also working on a film together.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a source quoted in a report published: “Varun and Katrina will be sharing a coffee date with KJo. Both of them make for an interesting pair and have never shared the same stage before. When Karan was sitting with the chat show’s team and ideating which guests could accompany Varun or Katrina, he thought of getting them together instead.”</p>

<p>The source further added, “Both the actors have known each other for a long time and share a great equation, so they agreed instantly. They will probably shoot the episode in a week or two.”&nbsp;</p>

According to a source quoted in a report published: “Varun and Katrina will be sharing a coffee date with KJo. Both of them make for an interesting pair and have never shared the same stage before. Koffee With Karan: After Alia Bhatt takes Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif to come with Varun Dhawan?

<p>The ever popular show <em>Koffee With Karan</em> is going to be back with its sixth season. The chat-show hosted by Karan Johar features two Bollywood celebrities in each of the episodes where they discuss the film industry with Johar.&nbsp;<br />

Rumours had it that the first episode of the sixth season would feature newly-married couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli.&nbsp;<br />

Latest news suggests that despite KJo's eagerness to feature Virushka in the first episode, the couple will not shooting for the show anytime soon due to their prior work commitments. News has it that Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji will share the couch in the first episode.&nbsp;<br />

Incidentally, the show- that will go on air in October will coincide with the 20 years completion of Johar's debut film <em>Kuch Kuch Hota Hai</em> which featured these three actors.&nbsp;The trio had earlier appeared in Season 2 of Koffee With Karan back in 2007.<br />

"One may argue that the combination lacks novelty, but it scores on nostalgic value. The line-up is yet to be drawn. It's still in the brainstorming stage. A lot of names are being tossed around and it's too early to say," a source close to the show was quoted as saying to a daily.</p>

<p>Interestingly, the previous season did not feature Rani Mukerji or Kajol. While Rani was on a maternity leave when the show was on air, Kajol and Karan had a fall out. But the two seemed to have buried the hatched and made peace.<br />

The episode will be shot in September and <em>Koffee With Karan</em> will start airing from October onwards.</p>
