The motion passed with 602 votes in favour and 13 against it, back in October 2022. Accordingly, the vote by the EU parliament confirms the previous agreement of making USB-C chargers used by Android-based devices the standard for the entire continent.&nbsp;

Succinctly put, all devices in the EU will have to carry the same charging port, in a bid to reduce e-waste. According to Bloomberg, when the company introduces its iPhone 15 later this month, USB-C connectors will appear on its four new phone models, as well as the AirPods Pro.&nbsp;

Notably, this is the second time in Apple’s history that the company would replace its charging port for its iPhones after it ditched the 30-pin Dock connector nearly a decade ago for its iPhone 5.&nbsp;

At the upcoming event, Apple will reportedly also hail the shift to USB-C connectors as a major win for customers. In line with the new rule, users will now be able to use a single charging cable for several Apple devices like iPhones, Macs and iPads.

Apple denied the allegations. The US&nbsp;National Security Agency, which the FSB said cooperated with Apple, declined to comment on the claims at the time.

The allegations of spying go both ways.

On Friday (August 11) China claimed that it had uncovered a "case of espionage" carried out by USA's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). China said that operation involved a Chinese national named Zeng who was paid money for top secret information.

"After meticulous investigation, the state security authority obtained evidence of Zeng's espionage activities and, in accordance with the law, took coercive measures against him to eliminate the harm in a timely manner," Beijing's Ministry of State Security said in a statement published online.

There were no details about Zeng's punishment.

According to the statement, 52-year-old Zeng was sent to Italy for studies. The statement adds that Zeng befriended a CIA agent who was stationed at the US embassy in Rome.

This individual convinced Zeng to provide "sensitive information on the (Chinese) military" in exchange for "a huge amount of compensation" and assistance for Zeng and his family to move to the United States.

Tata will be acquiring Taiwan-based Wistron Corp's factory in Karnataka.&nbsp;Currently, iPhone 14 is assembled at the&nbsp;factory which will be overseen by Tata, once the deal is finalised. The Karnataka facility is valued at more than $600 million and employs more than 10,000 workers.&nbsp;

"A takeover of the Wistron Corp. factory in southern Karnataka state, potentially valued at more than $600 million, would cap about a year of negotiations, said the people, asking not to be named as the matter is private," the publication reported.&nbsp;

Wistron has committed to shipping at least $1.8 million worth of iPhones from the factory in the&nbsp;fiscal year through March 2024 to earn the financial incentives. Moreover, it has put plans in motion to triple the plant's workforce by next year. Once Tata takes over, it will have to honour those commitments which the legacy brand has already agreed to.&nbsp;

The artwork titled ‘Man Handing a Letter to a Woman in the Entrance Hall’ was done by Dutch painter Pieter de Hooch. It shows a domestic scene against the backdrop of one of Amsterdam's canals.

The object, which looks like an iPhone, can be seen in the hands of a man standing to the right of the picture as he prepares to hand it to a woman who sat down in a chair.

Though the title suggests that the object is nothing more than a letter, many conspiracy theorists have speculated about its origin, which even drew Apple CEO Tim Cook’s attention.

When asked about the painting at a recent press conference, Cook said that he was shocked to see the painting and admitted that he was "not so sure" anymore whether Apple is in fact the creator of the iPhone.

“I always thought I knew when the iPhone was invented, but now I’m not so sure anymore," he had at that time, according to Daily Star news outlet.

He then showed the photo to the audience and said, "It's tough to see but I swear it's there."

He stumbled upon the portrait while on a trip to Amsterdam in 2016&nbsp;where he found de Hooch's artwork in the Rijksmuseum art gallery.

"There was an iPhone in one of the paintings,” Cook said.

This is not the first time that the supposed resemblance to iPhone has been spotted in classic paintings.

As per the report by SCMP, the company has raised worker benefits twice this month.&nbsp;This includes offering one of the highest loyalty bonuses to new recruits who remain employed for at least three months, which was raised to 2,500 yuan on May 22 from 2,000 yuan on May 3, said the media report.&nbsp;

However, Foxconn’s CEO said that the Taiwan-based company has no plans to leave its second-largest base in China’s Chengdu and its “important” production base there, after the announcement of its significant expansion in India.&nbsp;

Lynwood Police confirmed that apart from the iPhones, Apple merchandise worth thousands of dollars was also stolen by the crafty thieves. “Approximately 436 iPhones in total were taken out of the back.
