As cited by Hindustan Times, the ABP-CVoter opinion poll predicted that the Congress is likely to form the government in Karnataka, while BJP could face a big loss, and Janata Dal might perform below par. The opinion poll stated that out of 224 assembly seats in Karnataka, the Congress might win some 107 to 119 seats, while BJP is likely to bag some 74 to 86 seats and JD(S) can secure between 23 and 35 seats.

The polls suggest that Congress could end up securing some 40 per cent vote share, BJP might be five per cent behind and is likely to secure 35 per cent and JD (S) may get 17 per cent of the votes.

Another opinion poll by India Today-CVoter also predicted that "BJP is likely to lose" in Karnataka's assembly election. The poll also suggested that the current governing party BJP will secure just 74-86 seats, 24 down from the 2018 election.

As per the opinion poll, opposition leader Siddaramaiah of the Congress party is the most favoured leader with 42 per cent, followed by Chief Minister Basaraj Bommai with a 31 per cent vote.

Similarly, a pre-poll survey conducted by a Kannada outlet Eedina claimed that the Congress appears to be headed for a clear and comfortable majority with 32-140 seats, while BJP is predicted to win 57-65 seats, with a vote share of 33 per cent.

However, a poll of Zee News-Matrize and Kannada news channel Suvarna News 24x7 claims that the ruling BJP will again emerge as the single-largest party, followed by Congress and then JD (S).

Reports claimed that Shirdi Temple, a famous shrine located in India’s western state of Maharashtra and a premier religious tourism destination, will be shut down indefinitely starting May 1. As per reports, the shutdown has been called by the Sai Baba Temple’s trust as a protest against the Indian Central government’s decision to deploy the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for the security of the shrine.

However, the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) in a statement on its website had denied the media reports and said: "All the Aartis [prayers] and all the religious traditions will continue on Monday 1st May 2023 and thereafter all the facilities from Sansthan such as Shri Sai Prasadalaya, all Bhakt Niwas locations and Hospitals etc would be functioning regularly as always. This information was provided by Mr.Rahul Jadhav, I/C Chief Executive Officer of the Sansthan."

Reports claimed that the supposed shutdown is the administration protesting against the deployment of the CISF, a force that primarily protects industrial installations, metro stations, and airports.

They alleged that the trust believed that CRPF is not equipped to handle the security of the temple.

The temple, located in a small town in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, attracts millions of visitors every year.

People of all ages and all religions visit the most important temple dedicated to Sai Baba, a legendary Indian spiritual guru.

If it happened, the shutdown would have had a significant impact on the local community, which is heavily dependent on tourists visiting the temple. Hotels and shops may have been forced to close, and the livelihood of thousands would have been impacted.

It takes these gardeners around six months to get the garden ready and huge planning is done much earlier before the opening of the garden. The Tulip Garden has played a major role in attracting more and more tourists to Kashmir Valley during the Spring season. Due to the huge rush of visitors, the government this year opened the garden much earlier than the usual date, which used to fall during the first week of April. This year, the garden was thrown open ten days earlier on March 20. "This year our tulip show ran for 32 days. Our Honourable LG inaugurated the garden this year on March 19 and on March 20 we threw it open for the public. In just 32 days, we had a footfall of 377,000 visitors, it has broken all the previous records and this season around 80 per cent of the visitors were from outside union territory, and there is a positive side also there has been a significant jump in the footfall of foreign tourists which used to be in hundreds but this year it’s been up to more than 3000 tourists from foreign countries particularly from Thailand and European countries from Latin American countries, Argentina and U.S. we received a lot of foreign tourists and it was a great show," said Inam Ur Rehman, in-charge Tulip Garden. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about the opening of the garden. This year the tulip garden saw a huge footfall of foreign tourists as well. Over 3000 foreigners visited the garden this year. Social media played a major role in attracting more and more tourists to visit the Tulip Garden. “It has been an honour that PM tweeted about the garden. PM Narendra Modi himself has been a brand ambassador of the garden. What better can we wish for than he promotes the garden. He tweeted previously also and this year too he encouraged us, it gives us a new energy to the department under the guidance of LG and Chief Sectt and Commissioner Sectt, who have all worked hard to make this show a success. Social networking plays a very significant role. There is hardly anyone who is not on social network. There was a great response from the public this year and social media played a major role," said Inam Ur Rehman, in-charge Tulip Garden. The Tulip Garden has now been closed to the Public.
