<p>"The sound was deafening. It was as if something huge was dropped from the top of the building -- it was an incredible bang," a male eyewitness told public broadcaster NHK.</p>

<p>"Pieces of paper were scattered all over at the nearby intersection. From the way they were scattered, I immediately knew it was an explosion," he said.</p>

<p>Local media is reporting on the incident. It has been reported that the explosion occurred in a bar on the second floor of the building. Those injured include a man and a woman in their 50s.</p>

<p>NHK reported that the manager of the bar told the police that explosion occurred when he lit a cigarette in the smoking area of the bar.</p>

<p>The building is reportedly eight stories tall. At the time of the explosion, the bar was preparing to open for the evening.</p>

<p>NHK quoted a fire prevention expert who said that the explosion may have been caused by a gas leak at the bar.</p>

<p>"Judging from the situation at the scene, some kind of gas leaked into a room on the second floor and triggered an explosion," said Professor Sekizawa Ai of the Tokyo University of Science</p>

<p>"It seems there is no damage on the other floors and the explosion is not believed to have filled the building with gas."</p>

<p>The professor reportedly warned people to not approach the site until exact cause has been ascertained.</p>

Bradbury described the blast as a “seven-alarm hazardous materials” event and said that the body was recovered from the building.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a local media report, the worker who passed away was a 61-year-old man. Images of the scene show the roof of the building destroyed and debris lying across the field around the plant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A massive explosion at a dairy farm in west Texas state has killed more than 18,000 cows, making it the deadliest blaze for livestock on record in the United States.</p>

<p>According to USA Today, the figure is almost three times the number of cattle that are slaughtered every day across the US.</p>

<p>One person was also critically injured in the explosion at South Fork Dairy near the town of Dimmitt at Castro Country on Monday.</p>

<p>Mayor of Dimmitt, Roger Malone, described the number of cow deaths as “mind-boggling”, adding that it was a “real tragedy.”</p>

<p>Officials believe that a fire broke out in the machinery, which may have ignited methane gas.</p>

<p>Castro County’s top executive, County Judge Mandy Gfeller, said that a piece in the equipment malfunctioned at the farm and may have caused an explosion that led to the fire, reports BBC.</p>

<p>Texas officials are still investigating the real cause of the incident, she said.</p>

<p>It took almost a whole day for fire rescue officials to douse the blaze, which is said to have spread rapidly through the holding pens where thousands of dairy cows were crowded together and waiting to be milked.</p>

<p>One dairy farm worker was rescued and taken to hospital. As of Tuesday, the worker was in a critical but stable condition. There were no other human casualties.</p>

<p>Pictures of the incident shared on social media purportedly showed a large plume of black smoke billowing out of the facility.</p>

<p>The police on Saturday said that they are looking into the cause of the explosion, however, they believe that it may&nbsp;have resulted from a gas leak, local media reported.&nbsp;Residents have been warned to stay away from the area.</p>

<p>The explosion took place in Barkhan district’s Rakhni Bazaar area, reported Geo TV news. Pakistan's law enforcement agency also shared that the explosion had damaged several cars, motorcycles and shops.</p>

<p>Security officials cordoned off the area and completely suspended traffic after the incident.</p>

<p>While some injured have been shifted to a local hospital, others were admitted to Dera Ghazi Khan hospital, police said.</p>

The LG also offered his heartfelt sympathies to those injured in the explosions and announced a relief of Rs 50,000 for each injured. He added that the administration would ensure best treatment to the injured and extend every required help to their families.<br />

The blasts have taken place even as security has been beefed up across the Union territory in view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra has entered the state.<br />

The yatra has been given a massive security cover, with both police and paramilitary forces ring-fencing Gandhi and his followers while jammers have also been deployed. <p>Afghanistan has been witnessing a series of bomb blasts ever since the Taliban came back to power last year. Usually, the local unit of ISIS claims responsibility for the attacks usually targeting minorities.</p>

<p>Earlier this month, the same province witnessed a blast at a mosque in&nbsp;Aybak, southeast of Mazar-i-Sharif, in which at least 19 people were killed and 24 others wounded.</p>
