<p>With the administration of 68,48,417 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 inoculation coverage has reached 101.3 crore.</p>

US registers its one-millionth positive case; Europe heading towards to "normal"

<p>In a sad news alert, filmmaker Gurinder Chadha revealed that her aunt died of coronavirus-related complications.</p>

<p>She shared her grief in an Instagram post as she shared the news and said that what hurts her the most is that no one from her family could be there by her side in her final moments.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a heartfelt Instagram post, Gurinder Chadha thanked the medical staff at the Surrey hospital in the UK for their efforts. “She wrote, Today we said goodbye to my dearest bhuaji /aunt from #covi̇d19 complications. She was my dads little sister She is the aunt sitting down in these final pictures from #viceroyshouse and doted on me.”</p>

<p>She added, “She survived the Partiton of India and sadly for us, her family no one could be with her in person in her final moments. BUT two nurses in the Surrey hospital held her hand, FaceTimed her children who all chanted Sikh prayers during which her soul departed. God bless the #nhsheroes who made my dear aunts passing humane.”</p>

<p>After 585 deaths in the last 24 hours, Spain's death toll has increased to nearly 19,500 according to government figures showed on Friday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Spain has revised it's counting mechanism which has made it difficult to compare the previous tolls and the total number of deaths now stands at 19,478. The figure is the third highest in the world after the United States and Italy.</p>

<p>The government has issued revised guidelines overnight for reporting deaths to homogenise data from the country's 17 autonomous regions in an apparent move to eliminate any deaths where the patient had not been tested for COVID-19.</p>

<p>But this methodology has stirred controversies between Madrid and Catalonia, which is also the worst-hit regions, they insist that there are thousands of more victims than the official counts.</p>

<p>"It must be recognised that that number of dead is much higher," Ignacio Aguado, vice-president of Madrid's regional government, told Spain's RNE radio.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We're only talking about those who have died in hospital after testing positive, but people are also dying in old people's residences and at home without having being tested, so we will never know the real number (of deaths) in this tragedy."&nbsp;</p>

<p>After a downward spiral of the death rates, Friday's toll was the highest since Sunday's 619 death-mark.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A total of 72,963 have recovered from the deadly coronavirus in the country.&nbsp;</p>

The government has issued revised guidelines overnight for reporting deaths to homogenise data from the country's 17 autonomous regions in an apparent move to eliminate any deaths where the patient had not been tested for COVID-19. But this methodology has stirred controversies between Madrid and Catalonia, which is also the worst-hit regions, they insist that there are thousands of more victims than the official counts. "It must be recognised that that number of dead is much higher," Ignacio Aguado, vice-president of Madrid's regional government, told Spain's RNE radio. "We're only talking about those who have died in hospital after testing positive, but people are also dying in old people's residences and at home without having being tested, so we will never know the real number (of deaths) in this tragedy." After a downward spiral of the death rates, Friday's toll was the highest since Sunday's 619 death-mark. A total of 72,963 have recovered from the deadly coronavirus in the country. <p>Imran Khan could have done a lot, his government could have rescued stranded students from Wuhan. They could have taken aggressive measures to slow the outbreak.</p>

<p>The Pakistan health ministry could have tested and quarantined thousands of pilgrims arriving from Iran to Taftan in Balochistan, but Imran Khan did none of these things.</p>

<p>Instead, he used the virus as an excuse to beg the world for money. This even as he continues to fund ventures for self-promotion. His government is spending 42 million Pakistani rupees on defending itself on the internet.&nbsp;</p>

<p>20 million masks were smuggled out of Pakistan, consequently, a box of ordinary surgical masks is being sold for more than 4,000 Pakistani rupees.</p>

<p>This crisis like many in Pakistan is of its own making, its citizens are panicking at super-markets and stores to find masks. The number of coronavirus cases has climbed to over 330&nbsp;there. But confronted with the reality, Imran Khan is trying to evade all blame.</p>

<p>He is using the only political trick he knows, tell the world how powerless he is, and how vulnerable Pakistan is.</p>
