<p>The upcoming spy series <em>Citadel </em>is created and produced by Anthony and Joe Russo. The project is a multi-series franchise with the main series based in the US and UK and local productions being made in India, Italy, Spain, and Mexico. The Indian version of the series is being written, directed, and produced by The Family Man creators Raj and DK and is headlined by Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.</p>

<p>After weeks of speculations, Prime Video confirmed on Wednesday that Samantha Ruth Prabhu will star in the Indian version of the web series 'Citadel'. The web series will mark Varun Dhawan's digital debut and has been created by filmmaker duo Raj &amp; DK who has earlier made the 'Family Man' series.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Samantha will star alongside Varun Dhawan in the Indian instalment of the 'Citadel' universe, the global-event series from Prime Video and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO. The untitled Citadel series based out of India is written by Sita R Menon, along with Raj &amp; DK. The streaming service also confirmed that the production is currently underway in Mumbai. After this, the unit will head to North India and then onwards to international locales like Serbia and South Africa. The untitled Indian original 'Citadel' series will be available to Prime members in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.</p>

<p>As previously announced, Richard Madden ('Bodyguard') and Priyanka Chopra Jonas ('Quantico') will star in the first-to-launch series within the 'Citadel' universe, which comes from the Russo Brothers’ AGBO along with David Weil ('Hunters') and is set to premiere in 2023. Alongside Madden and Chopra Jonas, the series will also feature Stanley Tucci ('The Hunger Games' saga). Additional local-language Citadel productions are also in the works, including an Italian Original series starring Matilda De Angelis.</p>

<p>Global star Priyanka Chopra-Jonas has spoken candidly about the pay disparity that she has faced in Bollywood. Priyanka was one of the four Indians named in this year's list of BBC's 100 Women and while speaking to the publication, the actress revealed that Bollywood never paid female actors the same as male leads.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I've never had pay parity in Bollywood. I would get paid about 10% of the salary of my male co-actor. It's (the pay gap) large, substantially large. And so many women still deal with that. I'm sure I will too if I worked with a male co-actor now in Bollywood. My generation of female actors has definitely asked (for equal pay). We've asked, but we've not got it," she admitted.&nbsp;<br />

Priyanka also recalled how in her initial days she would have wait on sets for her male co-actor to arrive and said that she thought it was normal.<br />

"I thought it was absolutely OK to sit for hours and hours on set, while my male co-actor just took his own time, and decided whenever he wanted to show up on set is when we would shoot," she said.<br />

The actress revealed how she was body shamed in the film industry for her complexion and called 'black cat' or 'dusky' by many in the film industry.<br />

“I was called ‘black cat’, ‘dusky’. I mean, what does ‘dusky’ even mean in a country where we are literally all brown? I thought I was not pretty enough, I believed that I would have to work a lot harder, even though I thought I was probably a little bit more talented than my fellow actors who were lighter skinned. But I thought that was right because it was so normalised," she shared.</p>

<p>Priyanka moved to the west in 2015 when she became the first South Asian to be the lead in a network television programme in the US. The show 'Quantico' made her a household name but the actress said it's still difficult to get mainstream work in Hollywood for people of her ethnicity, despite a greater awareness to be more inclusive and diverse.<br />

"I think maybe I've built a certain amount of credibility, and so I'm doing interesting work. We'll see if that's accepted or not. It's really hard to be South Asian and Indian in Hollywood. There's still a long way to go," she said.<br />

<p>The owners of U.S. baseball team the Chicago Cubs have teamed up with Citadel founder Ken Griffin to work on a bid to buy English Premier League soccer club Chelsea, a spokesperson for Griffin confirmed to Reuters on Wednesday.</p>

<p>The Cubs'&nbsp;owners, the Ricketts family, and Griffin have formed an investment group which is set to make a formal offer for the London club on Friday.</p>

<p>Reuters has been told the bid does not involve Citadel, the hedge fund business, only Griffin.</p>

<p>The Ricketts family said they would be leading the investment group that will make the bid.</p>

<p>Chelsea were initially put up for sale by its owner Roman Abramovich following Russia`s invasion of Ukraine before sanctions were imposed on the Russian oligarch by the British government.</p>

<p>The European champions are currently operating under a special licence and are now effectively controlled by the British government.</p>

<p>Abramovich bought the club in 2003 for a reported 140 million pounds ($183.16 million). He had funded Chelsea via 1.5 billion pounds in total loans through Fordstam Limited, the entity through which he owns the club.</p>
