Even three years before in 2019, Andrew Flintoff survived a 125mph crash during the filming of another episode of Top Gear. He declared himself 'absolutely fine' as he walked away with the accident. At the time he had said, "I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in Top Gear drag races but, on this occasion, I went a few lengths too far. It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV." Andrew Flintoff is widely regarded as one of the best batting all-rounders of his time. The hard-hitting batter made his Test debut against South Africa in Nottingham in 1998 while he played his last Test at the Oval in London in 2009. He is best remembered for his incredible performances during the 2005 home Ashes where he performed with both bat and ball and helped his team win the urn for the first time since 1986-87. Meanwhile, after announcing his retirement from cricket, Flintoff took up professional boxing and even won his only bout against Richard Dawson in 2012.

Two protesters were injured, one critically, in Seattle early on Saturday, when the women were hit by a speeding car that drove past other stopped vehicles into a crowd demonstrating on an interstate highway, police said. The driver of the car, a 27-year-old Seattle man, was arrested at the scene of the incident, which occurred at about 1:30 a.m. PDT (0830 GMT), and faces multiple felony charges, Washington State Patrol Trooper Chase Van Cleave said by phone. Also watch: US F-16 fighter jet crashes in South Carolina "He was placed in custody when troopers arrived on scene," Van Cleave said by phone. "The investigation is still ongoing. At this time we`re not suspecting drugs or alcohol as a factor in the crash." Police did not identify the suspect or the victims, both women, one of whom is in her 30s and hospitalized in serious condition. The other woman, who is in her 20s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition, Van Cleave said. Also read: Two explosions rock Somalian cities; 4 dead, several injured Investigators do not know whether the driver intended to hit the demonstrators, he said. Seattle has been the scene of numerous demonstrations, some of them on interstate highways, since the May 25 killing of George Floyd on a Minneapolis street while he was in police custody, which was captured on video. A video of the Seattle incident shared on social media shows a lone white car speeding up Interstate-5, swerving to avoid a van that was parked to block the roadway and heading toward a small group of panicked protesters who tried to scurry away. The car can be seen striking two individuals near the side of the roadway, both of whom were flipped over the car`s roof before landing on the pavement.

American comedian and actor Kevin Hart successfully underwent surgery following a late-night car crash that left him with "major back injuries." A source told People that the actor is now in recovery after surgery which dealt with his back injuries. The comedian is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days as he recovers. The 40-year-old star was left injured when his vintage Plymouth Barracuda veered off the road in California on Sunday morning. The actor was a passenger in his car when its driver, friend Jared Black, lost control and crashed through wooden fencing just before 1 am on Mulholland Highway in Malibu, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol shared. The car crashed about 10 feet off the road and into a ditch, leaving Black and Hart with "major back injuries," TMZ reported on Sunday. A third occupant, Black`s fiance Rebecca Broxterman, was unharmed. Hart left the scene and headed to his home nearby, but was later treated for his injuries at a local hospital. Photos of the accident which were obtained by a website show that the blue car`s roof was completely crushed by the impact of the crash, with the rest of the vehicle appearing as a mangled wreck with a totally shattered windshield. Authorities said that Black was "determined not to be under the influence of alcohol."Hart bought himself the Barracuda in July as a birthday present, and showed it off on Instagram shortly after making the big purchase, noting he`d nicknamed it "Menace." Britain's Prince Philip, 97, gives up licence after car crash

Britain's Prince Philip has said he is "deeply sorry" about the injury suffered by a woman in a car crash he was involved in over a week ago, according to a report in the Sunday Mirror.

The newspaper published a copy of a letter written by the 97-year-old royal to Emma Fairweather, who broke her wrist when the Kia she was in collided with the prince's Land Rover.

"I was somewhat shaken after the accident, but I was greatly relieved that none of you were seriously injured," said Philip in the letter dated January 21, according to this Sunday's report. "I have since learned that you suffered a broken arm. I am deeply sorry about this injury." Philip, known for his forthright manner and off-colour jokes, retired from public life in 2017 and underwent a hip replacement operation last April. The accident stirred up what The Sun described as Britain's "age-old debate" about whether and when the elderly should give up driving. Images published the weekend following the crash appeared to show the prince behind the wheel of a replacement Land Rover Freelander on his wife Queen Elizabeth II's private Sandringham estate.
