As long as there are no fake voters, how will they win the election? The EC also assured that “all eligible electors will be included in the draft electoral roll to be published on August 1”. Of the 52 lakh names removed, 18 lakh voters were reported dead, 26 lakh had shifted to different constituencies, and 7 lakh were enrolled at two places, the Commission said two days before the draft lists are expected.The poll body also assured that all the eligible voters will be included in the list.&nbsp;“As per the SIR order dated 24.06.2025, from August 1 to September 1, 2025, a full one-month will be available to any member of the public to file objections for any additions, deletions and rectification in Draft Electoral Rolls,” the EC said in a statement.Each voter who submitted the enumeration form with or without documents will be included in the draft roll that would be published on August 1. Besides, voters who were unable to submit enumeration forms, can be included in final rolls if they submit a claim in the prescribed form along with the declaration.After the completion of the entire process, the final roll will be published on September 30, it added. And even after the publication, new voters can be enrolled up to the last date of nominations, the Commission said.&nbsp;&nbsp;“The entire election machinery, including nearly 1 lakh BLOs, 4 lakh volunteers and 1.5 lakh BLAs appointed by the District Presidents of all the 12 major political parties in Bihar are working together to search those electors who are yet to submit their Enumeration Forms (EFs) or have not been found at their addresses,” the statement added.&nbsp;&nbsp;The EC said it has deployed nearly 1 lakh BLOs, 4 lakh volunteers, and 1.5 lakh booth-level agents (BLAs) appointed by district presidents of 12 major political parties to complete the verification process. These teams are attempting to reach electors whose EFs have not been received or who were not found at their listed addresses.&nbsp;

EC trims Bihar roll by 52 lakh names; voters found deceased, shifted or enrolled at multiple places

Ahead of the assembly polls in Bihar in the next few months, the Chief Minister of the state has made a big election promise as he vowed 10 million jobs in the next five years on Tuesday (July 15). This came ahead of the state election scheduled to be held in October-November this year. The NDA move came in response to the criticism by the opposition over rising unemployment in the state.&nbsp;On Sunday (July 13), the Bihar CM, in a similar announcement on the social media platform X, claimed that more than eight lakh youth in Bihar were given government jobs between 2005 and 2020.&nbsp;“For the next five years (2025 to 2030), we are setting a target to double the goal by providing government jobs and employment opportunities to one crore youth. To achieve this, new jobs and employment opportunities will also be created in the private sector, particularly in industrial areas," he said in his post.&nbsp;"For this purpose, a high-level committee is being constituted. Currently, under the Saat Nischay (Seven Resolves) programme, the youth of the State are being provided with skill development training to connect them with self-employment opportunities. In the next five years, the ongoing programme under Saat Nischay for youth skill development will be expanded," he added.&nbsp;Foreigners among 78 million voters in Bihar?&nbsp;RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav dismissed the ongoing reports claiming the presence of foreign voters in Bihar's electoral rolls. Ahead of the Assembly polls, Kishor accused Gandhi of token gestures rather than genuine political engagement. Speaking in an interview with the news agency ANI, Kishor challenged Rahul Gandhi to spend even a single night in a village in Bihar. "Rahul ji keeps coming and going here, but doesn't undertake any Yatra. If Rahul Gandhi has ever spent even one night in a village in Bihar, let us know. If he can spend just one night in a village, we'll accept it," Kishore said. "Tum Delhi mein bethkar Bihariyo ke naam par haste ho aur yaha bethkar gyan dete ho (You sit in Delhi, laugh at Biharis then come here to lecture us)," he added.

Nitish Kumar earlier submitted his resignation to the Bihar governor and snapped ties with RJD. Then he again staked a claim for the CM seat with the support of BJP, the second-largest party in the Bihar assembly.

The Bihar Assembly boasts 243 members in total, where the RJD holds the largest ground with 79 MLAs.

Since JDU has now joined hands with BJP, both of them have 123 MLAs in total, just one above the halfway mark. Moreover, the NDA is also backed by the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM [S]), which has 4 MLAs. This puts the NDA government in Bihar in a comfortable position.
