<p>Kane put Bayern, who face Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals next month, 2-1 up in first-half stoppage time to take his league tally to 31, more than any player has scored in their first Bundesliga season.</p>

<p>But he was taken off injured in the 81st after sliding into the post, getting tangled in the sidenetting and twisting his ankle.</p>

<p>Franz was also one of the only three players ever to win a World Cup as a footballer and a manager. Though he lifted the title as a player during his prime in the 70s, Franz led Germany to a World Cup trophy in 1990 as a manager.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, outside of being the four-time German Player of the Year, Franz won the FIFA Order of Merit and was also awarded the coveted Ballon d’Or prize twice. His list of accolades also include&nbsp;the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award (2007) and FIFA Presidential Award (2012).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Not just as a footballer but also as part of the boardroom, Franz succeeded at all levels. From holding several positions at Bayern Munich, from being the club's president to becoming its advisory board's chairman to later becoming FIFA’s vice president, the legendary German footballer had seen it all.</p>

<p>“The decision comes as a result of a since-deleted social media post from the 28-year-old that appeared on Sunday evening. In the post, El Ghazi took a position on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East that was deemed unacceptable by the club," read the statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Similarly,&nbsp;Algerian footballer Youcef Atal, playing for Ligue 1 club Nice, was suspended for an anti-Jewish message on social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Given the nature of the publication shared [by Atal], and its seriousness, the club has taken the decision to take immediate disciplinary action against the player, prior to any action that may be taken by sporting and legal authorities,” the Ligue 1 club said in a statement.</p>

<p>The win lifted Bayern to 13 points in top spot from five Bundesliga games. Bayer Leverkusen, on 10, could join them if they beat Heidenheim on Sunday.</p>

<p>"We played well today and had the right mentality," Kane said. "We made it look easy and had so much speed with the ball.</p>

<p>German Football Federation (DFB) has announced Hansi Flick’s successor for the national football side. Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann will take charge of the side. The announcement came on Friday, September 22 after Nagelsmann signed a 10-month deal. He will become the 11th manager of the national side since 1926 and&nbsp;will oversee Germany’s bid for the Euro 2024, which will be held in their homeland.</p>

<h2><strong>Nagelsmann succeeds Flick</strong></h2>

<p>Having started&nbsp;on a high with eight consecutive wins, Flick faced the harsh reality in the FIFA World Cup last year as Germany were eliminated in the group stage. However, he still remained in his job as Germany prepared for the Euro 2024 in their homeland. With no competitive football to play until Euro, Flick’s destiny was decided by the poor run in friendly matches. Germany were beaten 1-4 by Japan earlier this month while also losing to the same opposition at the World Cup.</p>

<p>Flick was shown the exit door&nbsp;on Sunday, September 10 which saw him become the first coach in Germany’s rich football history to be sacked. He succeeded Germany’s World Cup-winning coach Joachim Low in 2021 after Euro and walked away from the side with 12 wins in 25 matches</p>

<p>"We have a European Championship in our own country. That's something special - something that happens every few decades."</p>

<p>Nagelsmann will take charge of the side for the first time in October’s international break where he will have the responsibility to build the team for the Euro’s. He is still contracted with Bayern Munich till 2026, the reason why he could not sign a contract with Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea when they showed interest in him. He was sacked by Bayern in March during the international break with the side still in contention for a treble.</p>

<p>Nagelsmann’s successor Thomas Tuchel however could only manage to lead the side to the Bundesliga title. The Bayern board then faced criticism for axing the 36-year-old with Oliver Kahn also sacked after the end of the season.</p>
