The principal further alleges that the&nbsp;Class 3 student, who is standing alongside his mother in what appeared to be the principal’s office- said he wanted to destroy the Hindu temple.

The woman then says her child has been complaining for the past three months that the students in his class have just been doing "Hindu-Muslim".

"You are teaching this to him," the principal tells her.

In the video, the woman alleges her child has not been allowed to sit in his class since morning.

"I don't want to teach him anymore. We have expelled him," the principal adds.

According to the principal, the mother of the child was trying to "mislead" the school by bringing up counter-allegations against a different student, saying that the boy had been hitting and harassing her son regularly.

As the video went viral, Amroha's Muslim Committee wrote to the district magistrate, demanding that the principal must be arrested and affiliation of the school must be suspended.

The District Inspector of Schools (DIS) had to step in, and a three-person inquiry committee has been established to look into the matter and take further action in the incident as per reports.&nbsp;

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), on Thursday (Sep 5)&nbsp;said it had taken&nbsp;into consideration the viral video allegedly showing&nbsp;an act of financial mishandling by a ticket operator working at the Indian capital's&nbsp;Nirman Vihar Metro station.

DMRC said&nbsp;that after being notified of the misconduct, they investigated the incident&nbsp;to identify the employee involved. The ticket operator, as per the DMRC,&nbsp;was a contractual operator employed by Nuvision Commercial &amp;&nbsp;Escort Services (NCES).

“A video is in circulation regarding an act of financial mishandling by a Ticket Office Machine (TOM) Operator at the Nirman Vihar Metro station. Upon receiving the complaint, DMRC took immediate cognizance of the matter, and after a thorough investigation, the concerned employee was identified as a contractual operator employed by an agency named M/s Nuvision Commercial &amp; Escort Services (NCES),” said the DMRC in a post on X.&nbsp;

To avoid such incidents in the future, certain measures have been taken by Delhi Metro officials, which include allotting personnel at the station to observe and monitor as well as&nbsp;conduct unplanned inspections.

DMRC also suggests that passengers check whether the exact amount is returned to them before exiting the counter.

“A penalty under the ‘Service Deficiency Memo’ clause of the contract was imposed on the contractor. Subsequently, the operator was also removed from service with immediate effect. DMRC personnel posted at stations have been instructed to closely monitor and conduct surprise checks at the TOM counters to ensure such acts are not repeated. The passengers are also requested to check the exact amount returned to them before leaving the counters,” DMRC wrote.

The study, published in the journal Scientific Reports, aimed&nbsp;to establish a link between increased access to toilets and the number of infant deaths between 2000 and 2020.

The International Food Policy Research Institute concluded by analysing data from nationally representative surveys covering 35 states/Union territories and more than 600 districts over 20 years.

SEBI chair Madhabi Puri Buch was employed at another firm during ICICI Bank tenure, Congress claims

The West Bengal chapter of India’s national ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (Sep 5) alleged that the ex-principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where the dead body of a junior doctor was found, ordered an urgent renovation near the crime site. Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Mazumdar also shared a letter allegedly signed by Sandip Ghosh authorising the renovation work.

Mazumdar wrote on X, “The order, signed by Sandip Ghosh, former director of RG Kar Medical College, is dated August 10, just one day after the victim's death. Despite allegations from colleagues and protesters about tampering with the crime scene, the Police Commissioner denied it."

The alleged letter was dispatched to the executive engineers of several departments of the Kolkata PWD (Public Works Department), asking for the repair of the attached toilets.

"I would like to inform you that there are deficiencies in on-duty Doctors' Rooms and separate attached toilets in various departments of RGKMC&amp;H, Kolkata. You are hereby requested to do the needful immediately as per the demand of the Residents' Doctors of RGKMC&amp;H,” the purported letter read.

Six ships, four of the Indian Coast Guard and two of the Indian Navy, are carrying out a search and rescue operation to locate the captain of a missing Indian Coast Guard helicopter, which hard landed at sea during the late hours of Monday, September 2nd, off the Gujarat Coast. Aircraft have also been deployed as part of this operation. So far, two of the four crew members who flew on the ill-fated mission of the &nbsp;Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) have died, and one has been rescued. The air and sea search operations for the missing captain continue.&nbsp;

The average depth in the search and rescue region is learnt to be 55 metres. The Indian Navy's specialised vessel and clearance diving team are also assisting with this ongoing operation, the efforts to salvage the helicopter that hard-landed at sea.

After a spell of heavy rain that resulted in severe flooding in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert in the region as more rains are likely over the next five days.

Kolkata rape-murder case: Police tried to bribe us, allege parents of the deceased

India’s Supreme Court on Thursday (Sep 5) reprimanded the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for arresting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor policy case while he was in judicial custody with the Enforcement Directorate (ED). India’s top court passed its remarks while hearing the Delhi CM’s plea for regular bail and challenging his arrest by the CBI.

The court, on Thursday, reserved its order in the case after hearing arguments from both sides. The verdict is expected to be out on Tuesday (Sep 10).

The apex judicial body noted that the federal agency required the permission of the court to do so.

"When you are in custody... if you are arresting him again, then you need the permission of the court. There is something in the criminal procedure code," the SC said.

It must be noted that the Delhi CM was first detained by the ED on March 21 in the liquor policy case. He was then arrested by the CBI on June 26 in a corruption case. The apex court had granted Kejriwal bail in the ED case on July 12 but he continues to be behind bars due to the arrest made by the CBI.

The senior advocate argued that he was not a flight risk and was found “fit for release” by the Supreme Court twice, referring to the interim bail in May and then in July.

"A man who is a constitutional functionary cannot be a flight risk. He is not a threat to society. Not a hardened criminal. The cooperation that is required is that he goes when called for trial," Singhvi said.

The administration and the forest department team comes after the attack and then go back empty-handed. Bajrangbali is Mahaveer, that's why we came here."

The recent attacks have heightened local anger, particularly following incidents where a three-year-old girl was killed and two women injured. Another child, a five-year-old girl was attacked on Monday (Sep 2) while sleeping next to her grandmother at her home.

A 27-year-old man from Bihar was arrested at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru for his alleged involvement in a cyber fraud case where ₹78 lakh ($92,907) was siphoned from a Gurugram resident, police said on Tuesday (Sept 3).&nbsp;

The suspect, who was attempting to flee the country at the time of his arrest, is fluent in Mandarin and had previously studied in Beijing. He has been operating a cyber fraud gang in India on behalf of a Chinese national for the past three years, according to police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cybercrime) Siddhant Jain said that evidence found on the suspect's mobile phone, including WhatsApp and Telegram chats, indicated that he was in regular communication with the Chinese national orchestrating the fraud. During his time in Beijing, Bharti reportedly connected with the Chinese suspect, which led to his involvement in cybercriminal activities.&nbsp;

"Upon his return to India in 2021, Bharti began assisting the suspect by establishing a gang, managing communications with members, and providing access to at least six bank accounts used to defraud victims across India," Jain added.

Notably, one of Bharti’s recent victims was a 55-year-old housewife from Gurugram, who lost ₹78 lakh in a task-based fraud.&nbsp;

Investigators managed to freeze some of the stolen funds and return a portion to the victim’s bank account. Police are still searching for at least two more suspects connected to the case.&nbsp;

The police in the Indian state of&nbsp;Madhya Pradesh arrested one Vinod Yadav, a 49-year-old man from Ahima village in Bihar, who tried to pull off the biggest ever theft from a government museum in India, stealing artefacts worth up to $1,786,041&nbsp;(Rs 15 crore) from the State Museum in Bhopal.

Currently, Yadav is in the hospital with a fractured leg and a possible broken spine after falling from a 12-foot high wall while trying to escape.

On Tuesday morning, Sub-Inspector Ghumendra Singh and his team were notified of the break-in at the museum. They found that the locks of two rooms, which contained valuable gold and silver artifacts, had been broken.

The stolen items included 98 ancient coins dating back to the Gupta dynasty and Mughal Empire, 75 silver coins, 38 copper coins, a gold medal, 12 mixed metal medals, and other valuable artefacts from the royal gallery, all of which were taken back.

The suspect, Yadav, who claims to be a farmer, said that he had&nbsp;visited the museum six months ago&nbsp;while&nbsp;accompanying a&nbsp;NEET examinee to the city.

Yadav also claimed that he attempted the theft so that he could give better education to his children. The goods Yadav had stolen are worth about $1,786,041 (Rs 15 crore), said officials.

During the investigation, police found that Yadav had come well-prepared for the theft. He was armed with tools to break the showcases, pry open doors, and scale walls.

Yadav had entered the museum with a ticket on Sunday evening and managed to hide inside until the museum closed.&nbsp;

Since the museum remained closed on Monday, Yadav used the opportunity to break&nbsp;into the two gallery rooms and steal&nbsp;the valuables. When the museum reopened at 10.30 am on Tuesday, the staff saw shattered glass and valuables missing.

During the search operation, Yadav was found injured as he could not climb the 25-foot wall.&nbsp;He told the police that he had entered the museum on Sunday afternoon and hid under the stairs. After closing time, he tried to escape with the artefacts but failed to do so.

All safety measures were taken by the staff as per the standard procedure. The police&nbsp;set up barricades at all exit points.

The police are also trying to find out if he had any accomplices. A detailed check of the inventory is being done to see if any precious items are still missing or not.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday (Sep 4) termed the peace agreement with two insurgent groups – NLFT and ATTF – as a historic moment for the northeastern state.

Earlier in the day, the peace pact was signed among the central and Tripura governments and two outlawed groups of the state – National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) in New Delhi.

The two groups signed a memorandum of settlement (MoS) with the Centre and the Tripura government in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Saha.

“A historic moment for Tripura! Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji and benevolent guidance of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShahJi, the entire North East has been witnessing a new era of peace, prosperity and goodwill,” Saha wrote on ‘X’.
