During India's practice session, the two greats met each other as Hall gifted the 35-year-old his autobiography&nbsp;named "Answering the Call -The Extraordinary Life of Sir Wesley Hall". The highlight of the meeting was when Hall told Kohli that he follows his career statistics and urged him to "get 100 international centuries".</p>

<p>David Warner feels the infamous ball-tampering controversy of 2018 dubbed&nbsp;'Sandpapergate' would always cast a shadow on his cricketing career, which is set to end soon. Warner, who retired from Tests and ODIs, is set to call it quits from international cricket altogether after the end of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, being held in the West Indies and the USA.</p>

<p>Reflecting on his decorated career, the Aussie opener said he felt the 2018 infamous incident remains the only blemish in his career, in which he has won the WTC, ODI WC and T20 WC for the national side.</p>

<p>Talking to the reporters ahead of Mitchell Marsh-led Australia's Super 8 campaign in the T20 WC, Warner said, "My back was always up against the wall when I came back, and I knew that. I copped my fair share over my career. I've probably been the only one that's ever copped a lot of flak, whether it's people who don't like the Australian cricket team or don't like me."</p>

<p>"I've always been that person who has copped it. I always feel like I've taken a lot of pressure off a lot of guys as well and I think, understandably, I've been that person to be able to absorb that. But one can only absorb (so much). For me, it's great to go out knowing I'm not going to cop it anymore. I felt I had great support from, especially our coaching group now and selectors have been great. All in all, I've had a privileged career, since 2018 I've really enjoyed that time coming back and just being around the guys and training hard and working as hard as I can."</p>

<h2>What was the 'Sandpapergate'?</h2>

<p>During Australia's tour of South Africa in early 2018, Steve Smith-led visitors were involved in a four-match Test series where the Sandpaper fiasco (i.e. the ball-tampering scandal) occurred, during the penultimate Test in Cape Town. Australian opener Cameron Bancroft was caught by television cameras trying to rough up one side of the ball with sandpaper -- in order to make the red cherry swing in flight.</p>

<p>Then captain Smith and vice-captain Warner were also found to be involved in the ball-tampering incident. As a result, all three received unprecedented sanctions from Cricket Australia (CA).</p>

<p>Smith and Warner were handed a one-year international ban each whereas&nbsp;Bancroft faced a nine-month suspension. Warner was regarded as the mastermind behind the whole scandal.</p>

<p>Pakistan cricketer Haris Rauf has allegedly been caught in an altercation with a fan&nbsp;in a video that has gone viral on social media. An angry Rauf could be seen charging at the fan in public who he believed was 'Indian' while his wife attempted to stop him from losing his cool.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pakistan star was having a stroll after the Men-in-Green crashed out of the T20 World Cup in the group stage. In the viral video, Rauf could be heard referring to the fan as: "Indian hoga (he must be Indian)".</p>

<p>However, the man replied saying: "Pakistani hoon (I am from Pakistan)"</p>

<p>Rauf could also be heard saying, “How can you abuse my father,” (gaali baap ko de raha hai) before proceeding to say, “Indian hi hai yeh’ (He is surely Indian).”</p>

<p>After the video went viral, Rauf released a statement saying when it comes to his family, he will never 'hesitate' to take such action.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I decided not to bring this on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticise us," wrote Rauf.</p>

<p>"Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, Rauf is among the six Pakistani players who have opted to go to London for a holiday while the support staff and other players returned to Pakistan.</p>

<p>Apart from Rauf, skipper Babar Azam,&nbsp;Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan and Azam Khan will also be in England's capital for the next few days.&nbsp;</p>

While players embark on a holiday, Pakistan cricket was rocked by the leaked statements of head coach Gary Kirsten, made at one of the soul-searching meetings to understand how the team crashed out of the tournament so early.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the meeting, Kirsten slammed the culture within the senior men's cricket team saying there was no unity and that multiple factions were present.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"There’s no unity in Pakistan’s team. They call it a team, but it isn’t a team. They aren’t supporting each other; everyone is separated, left and right. I’ve worked with many teams, but I’ve never seen such a situation,"&nbsp;Pakistani media reports quoted Kirsten as saying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Pakistan lost against USA and arch-rivals India to bow out of the tournament from the group stage when it looked certain that the 2022 finalists would at least make it to the Super 8.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Former South African cricketer&nbsp;Jonty Rhodes is being considered for the Indian men's senior cricket team fielding coach job, according to a report in&nbsp;<em>Revsportz</em>. Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes is being considered for the Indian men's senior cricket team fielding coach job, according to a report in Revsportz. The current backroom staff, including head coach Rahul Dravid and fielding coach T Dilip, will be stepping down from their positions after the culmination of the T20 World Cup. While the priority remains for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to appoint the head coach, Rhodes' name has been doing the rounds in the upper echelons of the Indian board. "The former South Africa cricketer hasn’t received any formal approach yet, but his is one of the names doing the rounds," the report claimed. Rhodes, a gun fielder back in his playing days, had applied for the same position back in 2019 but the BCCI preferred to stick with R Sridhar who was the then head coach Ravi Shastri's preferred choice. “Yes, I have applied for the position of India’s new fielding coach. <p>Speaking after the match, Malik cited his example and how he had refused captaincy back in 2009, and suggested that Babar follow a similar path.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I think I would immediately resign from the captaincy and focus on my cricket. It has happened to me. I was asked to be captain again in 2009/10 and I did not accept it because I wanted to focus on my cricket," Malik said on a Ten Sports Pakistan show.<br />
