Indian superstar Rajinikanth’s wife Latha has spoken out against the cheating case filed against her. This was in relation to the Tamil film Kochadaiiyaan. She was recently granted bail by a Bengaluru court in regards to the same.&nbsp;

Speaking to ANI, she added, “For me, it's a case of humiliation and harassment and exploitation of a popular person. This is the price we pay for being celebrities. So there may not be a big case, but the news becomes very big. There is no fraudulence.”

For the unversed, Chennai-based Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt Ltd filed a case of cheating against Latha over the rights of the film. According to the complaint, the company had lent Rs 10 crore to Media One, one of the producers of the film. In this, Latha Rajinikanth acted as a guarantor.

With regards to the cheating case, Latha was granted bail upon furnishing a Rs 1 lakh personal bond and Rs 25,000 in cash.

While it is debatable, many medical experts believe that conceiving in the winters is harder than the summer months, at least in areas where the cold comes once a year. This is particularly because the human body takes time to adjust to changing temperatures and with change in seasons, our food variety also changes, exposure to sun changes. This leads to lesser nutrition being absorbed by our bodies, less vitamins and minerals, resulting in fertility issues. While food is not the only reason why we face fertility issues, it surely comprises a major chunk.&nbsp;

Dr Aswati Nair, Fertility Specialist at the Nova IVF Fertility, spoke exclusively about the impact of winters on human health, particularly in terms of reproduction. She explains&nbsp;why it's crucial to support your reproductive system and feed your body during this time if you're planning a family or trying to get pregnant.

She suggests&nbsp;small changes like consuming seasonal produce, consuming healthy fats, increasing vitamin D levels, emphasising on fibre in the diet and drinking enough water can affect a huge change. Among the cutbacks, she suggests that we reduce the dependency on processed and sugary meals.&nbsp;

Here are some foods that can help:&nbsp;

Citrus Fruits: Fruits with high levels of vitamin C, such as oranges, pomegranates, grapefruits, and lemons, preserve sperm from oxidative damage and function as antioxidants, which may enhance fertility. Additionally, vitamin C aids in iron absorption, promoting optimal reproductive health in both men and women.

Root Vegetables: Vegetables like sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, and parsnips are abundant in beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is essential for reproductive health, supporting the development of healthy eggs and sperm.

Pumpkin Seeds: These little yet strong seeds are rich in zinc, magnesium, and vitamin K. Magnesium is necessary for the synthesis of cellular energy, the maintenance of the progesterone and oestrogen balance, and the promotion of sleep. In order to maintain healthy bones, vitamin K1 is essential for blood coagulation and calcium absorption. It has long been recognised that zinc promotes sperm health.&nbsp;

Dark Leafy Greens: Vegetables like spinach, kale, and Swiss chard are packed with folate, a crucial nutrient for both men and women aiming to conceive. Folate helps in DNA synthesis and is essential for healthy fetal development. Additionally, these vegetables offer an array of essential nutrients and antioxidants, fostering a favorable environment for reproductive function.

Fatty Fish: Omega-3 fatty acids, which are good for reproductive health, are abundant in cold-water fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines. These fatty acids contribute to improved blood flow, potentially enhancing fertility by aiding in the development of healthy sperm and promoting regular menstrual cycles in women. Also, Omega-3s found in fatty fish may play a role in reducing inflammation and supporting overall reproductive function.

Walnuts: These nuts are a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, potentially improving sperm quality and motility. Remember, while these foods are often associated with fertility benefits due to their nutritional content, they should be part of a balanced diet rather than relied upon as a sole solution for fertility issues.&nbsp;

Winter Foods for Fertility: Expert Shares Foods That Help Reproductive System

Indian show makers Arjun and Kartk enjoyed a great year in the creative space as they crafted a beautifully appealing story of real-life transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant and made her daily struggles and fight for voice in the society known to the world. Titled Taali, the biographical TV series directed by Ravi Jadhav, featured former Miss Universe-actress Sushmita Sen who played the lead role of Sawant and proved her mettle as an actress.&nbsp;

Now that we wrap the year on a high note with many successes at the box office, we got in touch with Arjun and Kartk, to get behind their creative vision for such stories and more.&nbsp;

Here are the edited excerpts from our long conversation:&nbsp;

Q: How did you start working together and what inspired you to create these successful projects?
&nbsp;
A: Our collaborative journey commenced in 2013. Before that, we were affiliated with Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd. During that time, Arjun led the business for the entire television network, while I served as the All-India Marketing Head for 92.7 Big FM. In 2013, we launched GSEAMS, focusing explicitly on marketing for diverse films. Before venturing into the studio business, we formulated strategies for over 45 Marathi movies. Initially, our focal point was Maharashtra, given the niche appeal of Marathi content. Since our first foray, Fugay, we have successfully produced approximately 15 films.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
In 2020, we stepped into the web series domain with Samantar in Marathi. From that point up to our recent release, Taali, we have aimed to present engaging content to a global audience, and we're grateful for the positive response we have received. As creators, it brings us joy to see our work resonate with viewers.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
Q: What is your creative process like? How do you come up with such interesting story ideas?&nbsp;
&nbsp;
A: In terms of content, our primary focus is on identifying compelling themes and stories. When we delve into stories, we don't limit ourselves to fiction, adventure, or thrillers; a project can encompass a wide range of genres. Our themes are also inspired by real-life stories like Taali, individuals driving positive change in society, current affairs, news, biographies, and various books.

<img alt="Taali" data-entity-type="file" data-entity-uuid="d7dd73a0-f0c3-429c-99ba-ff806e8ff965" src="//cdn.wionews.com/sites/default/files/inline-images/HORIZONS%20%2822%29.jpg" />

We also consider the potential appeal of a theme, assessing if people would like to see it and if it brings something new to the ongoing discourses. We also deliberate on whether the story needs to be shared with the world. This approach forms the core of our content strategy.

&nbsp;
Q: You’ve been in the trade for sometime now. What are some challenges you faced as creators at the start of this journey?&nbsp;
&nbsp;
A: Navigating the intricacies of filmmaking involves addressing various factors, from assembling the crew and overseeing shooting to planning, marketing, and ensuring the final product reaches the right audience on the appropriate platform. Dedication and hard work are essential in this process. While challenges are an inherent part of the profession, unexpected hurdles may arise, demanding a steadfast belief in our instincts.&nbsp;

For instance, when we embarked on creating a web series based on the life of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant, we anticipated certain obstacles, especially since the subject is considered taboo by many. Breaking stereotypes proved to be a formidable task. Nevertheless, trusting our instincts proved right, and with an outstanding performance by Sushmita Sen, it became one of the most-watched series in India.

&nbsp;
Q: What are your thoughts on the future of the entertainment industry? Do you have a plan to stay ahead of the curve?
&nbsp;
A: Much has been discussed about the impact of COVID-19, and how the entertainment industry has overcome the pandemic-induced setbacks with the help of OTT platforms. Now, let's shift our focus to 2024 and beyond, where OTT platforms and the film industry will co-exist, offering even greater potential as far as entertainment goes. In the realm of web series, content creators must continue to master theme-identification, recognising it as a key element. It's crucial to acknowledge that our audience is exposed to varied content, be it films or web series, from&nbsp;around the world.&nbsp;

Therefore, the key lies in producing content that stands out due to its unique setting, unusual premise, layered characters, engaging narrative styles and a rooted, national appeal. Our ongoing efforts in this regard remain steadfast. We will also be announcing more projects in the upcoming months.

Taali makers Arjun & Kartk on making content with unique setting, premise and layered characters

Only a handful of days are left for the new year so it’s only right to bring out your diary to make new resolutions and check whether you did yourself good with the year that went by. Whether it is keeping fit with yoga and exercises or vowing to eat cleaner, this is that time of the year when in addition to your physical health, you also take note of financial health and organise your finances.&nbsp;

To truly achieve meaningful goals, it’s important to consider the financial implications of a healthy lifestyle. It's time to recognise the unwavering link between your well-being and your bank account. Given the rising healthcare costs and changing lifestyles, planning for financial wellness in addition to physical health will go a long way. Asit Rath, CEO &amp; MD of Aviva India spoke to WION about redefining budgeting to include financial wellness. It's not just an expense but an investment in oneself.

The expert shared with us his insights on the financial opportunities associated with adopting a healthy lifestyle. He also spoke how shifting our focus towards resolutions can positively influence not just our health but also our wealth.

Shifting Mindset: From Expense to Investment

Investing in a healthy and fit body is akin to investing in a secure financial future. A healthy lifestyle reduces healthcare costs by preventing illnesses, potentially lowering insurance premiums. Improved physical health enhances productivity, increasing earning potential and career longevity.&nbsp;

Imagine replacing your daily cigarette habit with a brisk walk or jog. Instead of spending Rs. 60 on six cigarettes, you're investing in your health for free. Regular physical activity not only improves your physical well-being but also reduces the risk of expensive chronic illnesses, saving you money in the long run. Consider this: a gym membership may seem like an initial expense, but it pales in comparison to potential medical bills resulting from neglecting your health.

Healthier Lifestyle, Lower Healthcare Costs

Maintaining a healthy diet is not only beneficial for your well-being but also for your wallet. By prioritising nutritious, home-cooked meals over frequent dining out or relying on processed foods, you not only invest in your long-term health but also save money. Consider the cost of fast food or processed snacks that may seem economical at the moment but can lead to health issues in the future.&nbsp;

Investing in nutritious food not only contributes to your well-being but also prevents potential medical costs down the line. Planning meals, buying in bulk, and avoiding impulsive purchases can significantly reduce grocery expenses.

Fostering Mental Balance for a Flourishing Life

A thriving mind forms the cornerstone of a flourishing existence, wielding a profound impact on both personal well-being and professional success. Rather than dwelling on the drawbacks, let's illuminate the positive facets of creating a harmonious mental and life balance. Cultivating equilibrium not only diminishes stress levels but also paves the way for enhanced decision-making and heightened productivity.&nbsp;

Embracing activities like meditation, seamlessly woven into sports or hobbies, emerges as a powerful tool in channelling the mind and alleviating stress. As we weave the tapestry of a well-rounded life, we discover that the pursuit of mental wellness not only averts potential health costs but also lays the groundwork for sustained professional growth.

Paying Attention to Finances

Financial literacy is the cornerstone of securing your financial future. Educate yourself on budgeting, saving, and investing. By taking control of your finances, you can make informed decisions, avoid financial pitfalls, and safeguard yourself from unexpected expenses. Early Detection, Long Term Savings

A proactive approach towards regular check-ups and health diagnoses is a smart financial move. It is imperative &nbsp;to understand the importance of preventive health care as prevention is far cheaper than cure. Early detection of potential health issues can significantly reduce the overall treatment costs. Consider the scenario of neglecting regular check-ups and discovering a health concern at a later stage when the treatment costs are considerably higher. Proactively managing your health not only saves money but also ensures a better quality of life.

Investing in your well-being is investing in your financial future. As we usher in 2024, let these five habits be the compass guiding you toward a future where health and wealth thrive hand in hand.&nbsp;

Adopting these habits isn't just a resolution, it's an investment in a life where your well-being is the cornerstone of your financial stability.&nbsp;

Only a handful of days are left for the new year so it’s only right to bring out your diary to make new resolutions and check whether you did yourself good with the year that went by.

Only a handful of days are left for the new year so it’s only right to bring out your diary to make new resolutions and check whether you did yourself good with the year that went by. Whether it is keeping fit with yoga and exercises or vowing to eat cleaner, this is that time of the year when in addition to your physical health, you also take note of financial health and organise your finances. Asit Rath, CEO & MD of Aviva India spoke to WION about redefining budgeting to include financial wellness. It's not just an expense but an investment in oneself. The expert shared with us his insights on the financial opportunities associated with adopting a healthy lifestyle. He also spoke how shifting our focus towards resolutions can positively influence not just our health but also our wealth. Shifting Mindset: From Expense to Investment Investing in a healthy and fit body is akin to investing in a secure financial future. A healthy lifestyle reduces healthcare costs by preventing illnesses, potentially lowering insurance premiums. Improved physical health enhances productivity, increasing earning potential and career longevity. Healthier Lifestyle, Lower Healthcare Costs Maintaining a healthy diet is not only beneficial for your well-being but also for your wallet. By prioritising nutritious, home-cooked meals over frequent dining out or relying on processed foods, you not only invest in your long-term health but also save money. Consider the cost of fast food or processed snacks that may seem economical at the moment but can lead to health issues in the future. Investing in nutritious food not only contributes to your well-being but also prevents potential medical costs down the line. Planning meals, buying in bulk, and avoiding impulsive purchases can significantly reduce grocery expenses. Fostering Mental Balance for a Flourishing Life A thriving mind forms the cornerstone of a flourishing existence, wielding a profound impact on both personal well-being and professional success. Rather than dwelling on the drawbacks, let's illuminate the positive facets of creating a harmonious mental and life balance. Cultivating equilibrium not only diminishes stress levels but also paves the way for enhanced decision-making and heightened productivity. Paying Attention to Finances Financial literacy is the cornerstone of securing your financial future. Educate yourself on budgeting, saving, and investing. By taking control of your finances, you can make informed decisions, avoid financial pitfalls, and safeguard yourself from unexpected expenses. Regularly assessing and managing your finances can help you identify areas where you can cut unnecessary expenses and redirect funds towards savings or investments. Being financially savvy ensures that you have a safety net for unexpected expenses, reducing the risk of financial strain due to unforeseen circumstances. The Financial Power of Healthy Lifestyle: Budgeting for Wellness in 2024

The actor who played Prince Charles on Netflix’s The Crown in the later part of the hit series is finally opening up on his relationship with Prince Harry in real life. The actor was very close to Prince Harry at one point of time but a few years back, a lot of things unfolded, leading to the two distancing from each other.&nbsp;

Dominic who played Harry’s father Prince Charles (now King in real) on the show, revealed that they lost touch after the actor spoke “too much in a press conference” which leads us to believe that they had a fallout.&nbsp;

“We sort of [lost touch because] I said too much in a press conference, and so, we didn’t speak after that,” he said during an appearance on Times Radio.

When asked for reasons, he explained, “I think I was asked what we did… [and] what we did to celebrate when we got there and probably said something too much.”

Dominic West, however, did not reveal exact details of what he said that didn’t sit well with Harry but we think it was a 2014 press conference where he spoke about an expedition through Antartica with injured military veterans, which the Duke of Sussex was part of. West said that the royal was “very much part of the team.”

At the time, he said, “He seemed to specialise in building latrines. He built this incredible castellated structure with blocks to keep out the wind and it even had a loo roll holder.”

The Crown actor then used the toilet and said, “Sitting there, looking at the beautiful view thinking ‘this is a royal flush, in every way.'”

5 Reasons Why Trees Are The Best Wedding Gifts

Apart from just being eco-friendly alternatives to regular gifts, they are also economical and budget-friendly. Globally, people are increasingly choosing to commemorate significant milestones such as births and anniversaries with trees.

Planting trees is an effective way to counter the climate crisis and is much needed for biodiversity restoration.

Unlike conventional gifts that fade with time, trees possess the remarkable ability to thrive and endure across generations. As living embodiments of growth, love, and eco-friendliness, trees serve as a constant inspiration to plant more.

The waste humanity generates significantly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and leads to biodiversity loss. In this context, planting trees becomes a powerful way to make a positive impact.

Selecting trees as wedding gifts emphasises eco-friendliness and encourages a departure from consumer-driven practices. This choice aligns with environmental consciousness, contributing to a greener lifestyle.

Planting trees goes beyond environmental benefits; it also generates numerous jobs for local communities, including planting, nurturing, manuring, and watering. Reforestation efforts empower local women by increasing the income of those who participate directly and indirectly in various tree-related processes.

Joining a long list of superhero films that have failed to make a mark this year, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opened to a poor start at the box office. The film unlike its predecessors failed to make a splash at the Christmas box office as it debuted to $28 million over the weekend. Even though the world over people have taken a break from work and are in holiday mood, the four-day holiday weekend hasn’t done much for the film.&nbsp;

The latest Aquaman installment is however faring better than its competition – animated film Migration, Sydney Sweeney’s Anyone But You, and sports biopic The Iron Claw. The film, however, has very little to boast about beyond its current number 1 spot as the film cost $205 million to make and ranks among the worst debuts of the year for a superhero movie.

With these figures, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has become the fourth of four DC movies this year to crumble at the box office. This year, all superhero films like The Flash, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Blue Beetle majorly flopped in theatres.

Other films that will be released today and are expected to bring a change in the dynamics are Warner’s musical adaptation of The Color Purple, Neon’s racing drama Ferrari,&nbsp;and George Clooney’s The Boys in the Boat.&nbsp;

In addition, the Indian action drama Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire is doing well. The film stars Baahubali actor Prabhas.&nbsp;
