The moon has been a subject of study since the 1970s and Alyssa Rhoden, a principal scientist at the Southwest Research Institute in Colorado, told The Independent that the ocean water can "somehow moves through the shell and reaches the surface".

"I started researching Europa 22 years ago, and I’ve had the same images to work with the entire time. So, I would say I am EXTREMELY excited for the new data sets that will be delivered by Clipper. As for habitability, there are probably many ways it will inform habitability, but what I am most interested to see is evidence of liquid water within the ice shell," he explained.

As a result, there has been speculation that the moon of Jupiter can actually be a habitable place in the universe. Michael Manga, a geophysicist and professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science at UC Berkeley, also supported the theory as he said that Europa is quite similar to Earth.

"The ecological diversity of the Gulf of Mexico may be more complex than [previously] thought. I was skeptical. Since Enoshima Aquarium in Japan only purchased B. giganteus, I always thought it was B. giganteus," study lead author Huang Ming-Chih told Live Science.

The discovery was made when Huang obtained the specimen from the Enoshima Aquarium in Japan under the assumption that it was B. giganteus. However, an analysis by the team showed that it was different on a cellular level and showed qualities which were not found earlier.

A new study has revealed that Howard Cater, the archaeologist well known for discovering the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922, stole some of the treasures from the vault. In the fast few decades, there have been a number of rumours in Egypt, but a letter sent to him in 1934 seems to have proven them right. The letter, written to scholar Sir Alan Gardiner, said that he received an ancient amulet from Carter for translating hieroglyphs found on the tomb.

While Carter said that the amulet did not come from the tomb, Rex Engelbach, the then British director of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, said that it matched the items found in the area.

Salman Rushdie, the Man Booker Prize award winner who received death threats from Iran due to his book in the past, was stabbed by an attacker&nbsp;during a lecture in New York on Friday.

According to the official statement released by the New York State Police, a man stabbed Rushdie in the neck at the Chautauqua Institution. The incident took place just before he could start his lecture. The attacker was caught and restrained by the security at the event.

"He is alive and has been transported, airlifted, to safety... The event moderator was attacked as well; he's getting the care he needs at a local hospital," Kathy Hochul, Governor of New York State, told AP.

While the threats continued, Rushdie said that he was not afraid and, in his memoir, “Joseph Anton”, he wrote that he believes no one is interested in the bounty placed on his name.

The study also found that humans lack the ability to create loud calls like monkeys due to the absence of “balloon-like laryngeal structures” called air sacs. The lack of air sacs is the reason why humans have a stable voice and that was one of the major reasons why they were able to develop speech.

“We argue that the more complicated vocal structures in nonhuman primates can make it difficult to control vibrations with precision," said primatologist Takeshi Nishimura of Kyoto University’s Centre for the Evolutionary Origins of Human Behaviour in Japan, in the official statement.

“Vocal membranes allow other primates to make louder, higher-pitched calls than humans - but they make voice breaks and noisy vocal irregularity more common," said evolutionary biologist and study co-author W. Tecumseh Fitch of the University of Vienna in Austria in the statement.

The horse-drawn carriages which&nbsp;are part of a tourist attraction in New York have already attracted a lot of criticism in the past and PETA once again asked for their complete removal.

The Chester Zoo in Cheshire welcomed a new guest, and it is great news for an extremely rare animal species. The zoo saw the birth of a Rothschild's giraffe — the sub-species of giraffe which is found mostly in Africa and are just 2500 in number at the moment. The zoo named the giraffe Stanley after Mount Stanley in Uganda — the area which is considered to be the natural habitat of giraffes.

“While tiny in comparison to mum Orla, her new arrival was born already towering above us at 6ft tall and weighing a hefty 72kg! Following the dramatic birth, it’s vitally important that the calf gets to its feet quickly and ventures over to mum for its first feed — it’s these precious early moments that help to cement that special bond between the two of them,” she added.
