Dr. Joseph Wiesel who works in the department of medicine in New York University in a lawsuit said that Apple had infringed on patents and claimed that the company "willfully disregarded" the rights since he was the owner of the patents.

Wiesel has now filed a case in a federal court in Brooklyn, suing Apple for infringing on his patents. The New York University cardiologist claims in his lawsuit that Apple went ahead despite "knowledge and understanding" of his patents which he had been working on since 1999.

The study was based on atrial fibrillation detection techniques for which Wiesel alleges Apple did not give him any credit although he claimed that he had shared the patent details with the tech giant way back in 2017 but alleged that the company "refused to negotiate".

The team members were reluctant to even eat with him because he was a Hindu, he alleged during a cricket show.

Akhtar added that the Pakistan spinner was never given due credit for his performances and that he was constantly humiliated by his teammates.

"In my career, I fought with two people in the team when they started talking on regionalism. Things like 'who is from Karachi, Punjab or Peshawar', that used to&nbsp;infuriate me," Shoaib said during the show.

"So what if someone is a Hindu, he is doing well for the team. The same Hindu won the Test for us against England. If he is taking a bagful of wickets for Pakistan, he should play. We could not have won the series without Kaneria's effort but not many gave him credit for that," the former Pakistan pace bowler added.

Kaneria played in 61 Test matches for the country but was later banned by the ICC for his alleged role in spot-fixing.

Danish Kaneria is fourth on the list of bowlers with most Test wickets for Pakistan behind other fast bowling legends Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Imran Khan, the current prime minister of the country.

China's People's Liberation Army(PLA) has said that its ties with the Indian military is "improving" and thanked the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping for the improvement.

China's defence spokesperson colonel Wu Qian said: "Thanks to the efforts of the two heads of the state, the military relationship is improving and two countries maintain strategic dialogues and conduct practical cooperation, and also strengthen their exchanges along their borders".

The statement comes days after the two militaries concluded the eight round of their 'Hand-in-Hand-2019’ joint exercise in Shillong on December 21. The exercise was aimed at building and promoting positive relations between both the armies.

The defence spokesman said that the PLA was willing to work together with India to protect regional stability and fight terrorism.&nbsp;

China's latest statement comes after both militaries were recently were engaged in a 73-day standoff at Dokhlam in 2017. The two countries have since hit the reset button to some extent. In 1962, the two nations had fought a bitter war leading to tensions on the border for decades.

However, in the past two years, there have been moves towards finding common ground between the two countries. President Xi had hosted Prime Minister Modi for an informal summit in Wuhan in April 2018 which was followed by the informal talks between the two leaders in Mamallapuram this year.

The recent military exercise between the two countries was meant to enhance relationship between the two armies and to focus on counter-terrorist handling and firing with each others’ weapons, battle obstacles course, special heliborne operations and case studies of various operations carried out in the counter-terrorist environment.

Next year marks the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between China and India.
