Chinese pressure? Pope Francis remains silent on Uighur Muslims

The Railways has stated that all regular passenger train services will remain suspended till further notice, but 230 special trains will continue to be in service.

"This is to bring to the notice of all concerned that as decided and informed earlier as well, regular passenger and suburban train services will continue to remain suspended till further notice," a statement from the Railways said.

"It may be noted that 230 special trains, which are running at present, will continue to operate. Local trains in Mumbai which are presently being run on limited basis only on the requisition of state government, will also continue to run," it said.

The occupancy of special trains is being monitored on a regular basis and additional special trains may be run based on the requirement, the national carrier said.

However, all other regular trains and suburban trains run before the lockdown will remain suspended for the time being, it said.

Also, all special trains 12 pairs running on the Rajdhani routes since May 12 and 100 pairs operating since June 1 will continue.

The limited special suburban services which began recently in Mumbai to ferry essential services personnel identified by the local authorities will also continue to run, officials said.&nbsp;Earlier, the national transporter had suspended all services till August 12.

With the suspension of passenger trains indefinitely, Indian Railways has estimated a loss of around Rs 40,000 crore in its passenger business for this fiscal.

Lebanon finance minister Ghazi Wazni became the fourth government minister to resign after Lebanon's justice minister Marie Claude Najem had handed over her resignation to Prime Minister Hassan Diab.

Information minister Manal Abdel Samad and environment minister Damianos Kattar had earlier resigned on Sunday as protests escalated over the Beirut blasts in which 158 people had died and several thousand were injured.

Marie Claude Najem had earlier visited the blast site as she was met by angry protesters promoting her to resign. French President Macron had visited the site last week before any of the government minister's as people vented their anger and urged the French president to intervene.

Macron has promised aid which would directly reach the people. On Sunday, the French president was able to pledge support of 250 million euros from world leaders even as aid workers on the ground continue to work around the blast site.&nbsp;

China's regulators have banned 40 more domestic live streamers as part of efforts to curb the "illegal or irregular"activities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The China Association of Performing Arts has already banned over 200 live streamers after blacklisting them two years ago. In a statement, the association said that it will never "tolerate pornography, vulgar content, online gambling, online fraud and other violations of national laws and regulations”.

It has also banned 48 broadcasters from live streaming for five years as President Xi Jinping tightens control over the internet in the country.&nbsp;

The country's cyber watchdog had earlier called out live streaming platforms Tencent-backed Douyu&nbsp;and Huya including Bilibili for uploading lowbrow content.

According to the Chinese live streaming report, live streaming has become the most popular video format with over 200 platforms which allows users to have "face-time" like feature and is widely used to sell products.

It is widely used in the gaming industry with apps including Panda TV, Chushou, Huya and Douyu.

As the coronavirus cases continue to rise around the world, the World Health Organization(WHO) director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesu said that Rwanda, New Zealand, Mekong region and islands across the Caribbean and the Pacific have been able to suppress COVID-19 early.

Tedros called New Zealand's case a "global exemplar" after Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern celebrated 100 days with no community transmission.
