<p>Cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, in a recent interview, opened up about working with Ryan Coogler in the 'Black Panther' sequel 'Wakanda Forever'. Before sharing her on-set experience with the filmmaker, Arkapaw revealed that she was introduced to Coogler by her friend and cinematographer Bradford Young at a time when Coogler was looking for a DoP for 'Creed'. Even though the two couldn't collaborate for 'Creed', they joined hands for the Marvel film. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Praising Coogler for his work ethic, the cinematographer said, "So what’s great about Ryan, and not every director does this, is that he asked that I be brought on for prep. So before I was on the ground in Atlanta, he involved me in his storyboard and pre-vis meetings. So I would be involved in those via zoom, and that was probably the first thing we did together."</p>

<p>She added, "It’s not my favourite thing. But anything that will help the director, producers, and everybody on the set feels more comfortable is great. Because you have costume, production design, SFX, and stunts, they all want a global idea of what we are trying to execute. And so when you can give them a slight framework, it just helps them do their job better. And then also you can change it. It’s not set in stone. It’s just giving you an idea, and what’s great about Ryan is that we did all this boarding, but he’s still very collaborative. So we’re still very open to adjusting it on the day."</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Coogler,&nbsp;on Thursday, penned a thank you note for all the people who reached theatres to watch 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' and showed their support for the movie. In a long note shared by production house Marvel Studios on their official Instagram handle,&nbsp;Coogler said that seeing the love the movie is receiving, he is filled with gratitude.</p>

<p>“Gratitude. That is the only word that comes to my mind for your support of our work on the film Black Panther Wakanda Forever. I am filled with it,” Ryan wrote.</p>

<p>To thank all the fans who watched the movie, he wrote, “Thank you. Thank you to the people bought their tickets early and camped out opening weekend. Thank you to those of you who took their families and young ones and elders in tow. To those who organised youth screenings and afterparties, who bought theatres for communities and friends. To all of you, who watched multiple times and encouraged other folks to check it out.”</p>

<p>Remembering actor Chadwick Boseman, Coogler added, “We made something to honour our friend, who was a giant in our industry, and we also made something to be enjoyed in a theatrical sitting with friends, family and strangers.” Take a look!</p>

'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever': Autumn Durald Arkapaw praises Ryan Coogler for being 'very collaborative'

<p>Though Loujain Adada wasn't able to find her true match during the filming of Netflix's new reality and lifestyle show 'Dubai Bling', it seems that Walid Juffali's millionaire widow has&nbsp;found her partner in&nbsp;Pakistani model Hasnain Lehr. And, they are not afraid to keep things real on social media about their bond.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Taking to social media on Thursday, Lehri&nbsp;announced his relationship with the reality TV show star. While sharing a love-filled picture, he penned a note to express his feelings. His heartfelt note left netizens gushing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sharing a mushy photo of himself and Loujain, he wrote, "H (infinity symbol) L," before adding, "I thought fairy tales would never come true until I met my princess @loujainaj." Joe Jonas, Glenn Powell-starrer Korean war drama 'Devotion' gets new release date in India

<p>Wilko Johnson, the guitarist with British blues-rock band Dr Feelgood who had an unexpected career renaissance after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, has died. He was 75.</p>

<p>A statement posted Wednesday on Johnson’s official social media accounts on behalf of his family said the musician died Monday evening at his home in southeast England.</p>

<p>Born John Wilkinson in 1947, Johnson was raised on Canvey Island, a marshy, industrial oil town in England’s River Thames estuary. He studied Anglo-Saxon literature at Newcastle University and worked as a schoolteacher before forming Dr Feelgood with other local friends.</p>

<p>At a time of flamboyant glam and indulgent prog rock, they played a then-unfashionable brand of blues and R&amp;B, dressed in cheap suits that made them look, Johnson said later, like “shoddy bank robbers.”</p>

<p>Johnson helped give Dr Feelgood a dangerous edge with his choppy, relentless guitar style and thousand-yard glare — a look terrifying enough to earn him a role later in life as silent executioner Ser Ilyn Payne on 'Game of Thrones'.</p>

<p>The anarchic outfit inspired bands who would soon drive the U.K. punk explosion, and teetered on the edge of global fame, scoring a U.K. No. 1 album, tours of the U.S. and a deal with CBS records. Then in 1977, Johnson walked out amid friction with charismatic lead singer Lee Brilleaux, who died in 1994.</p>

<p>Johnson later said that if the band had been able to follow its managers’ instructions to behave, “I’m pretty sure we’d be multimillionaires. But we didn’t. We were geezers from Canvey Island. We were great friends, and we fell out.”</p>

<p>Johnson went on to perform with Ian Dury’s band, the Blockheads, and spent years playing to a devoted fanbase, largely in the U.K. and Japan.</p>

<p>In 2012, Johnson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told it was terminal. The prospect of death unexpectedly revived his creative energies. He declined chemotherapy, decided to go on one last tour, and recorded a “final” album, 'Going Back Home',&nbsp;with Roger Daltrey of The Who.</p>

<p>“You walk down the street and you feel intensely alive. You’re `Oh, look at that leaf!′ You’re looking around and you think, `I’m alive. Ain’t it amazing?’”</p>

<p>In another twist, a fan who was also a cancer specialist offered to help. After surgery to remove a 3-kilogram (6.6-pound) tumour, Johnson announced in 2014 he was cancer-free. He released another album, “Blow Your Mind,” in 2018, and played gigs with his Wilko Johnson Band until last month.</p>

<p>Daltrey paid tribute to “the uncompromising Bard of Canvey.”</p>

<p>“More than anything Wilko wanted to be a poet,” he said. “I was lucky to have known him and have him as a friend. His music lives on but there’s no escaping the final curtain this time.”</p>

<p>Johnson is survived by his sons Simon and Matthew and grandson Dylan.</p>

<p>On Thursday, Adidas AG announced that the company is launching an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour by Kanye West, based on an anonymous tip and a report.&nbsp;It was previously reported that the rapper played pornography in front of&nbsp;Adidas staff in meetings&nbsp;and had a discussion about porn in formal setups.&nbsp;He is also accused of showing an intimate photo of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian during job interviews.</p>

<p>"It is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true," Adidas said in a statement. "However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations."</p>

<p>Adidas' former employees, who were involved with 'Yeezy', had previously released a letter alleging that Adidas executives were fully aware of Ye's behaviour but chose to turn&nbsp;a blind eye and turn off their moral compass.</p>

<p>According to a Rolling Stone report, which cited unnamed former staff, the rapper used intimidation tactics and mind games&nbsp;to control the employees and his actions were often directed towards women.</p>

<p>The report also featured excerpts from the open letter addressed to the shoe company by some former employees who were fed up with Ye's behaviour towards them.&nbsp;The open letter detailed recollections of West’s alleged behaviour with former staff members.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the letter, the ex-Yeezy employees had also urged Adidas to address "the toxic and chaotic environment that Kanye West had created".</p>

<p>The latest&nbsp;expose by Rolling Stones also includes stories of the rapper belittling or bullying staffers.</p>

<p>Last month,&nbsp;Adidas terminated its lucrative tie-up with West after a series of anti-Semitic outbursts by the star.&nbsp; At the time, the company said his comments were "unacceptable, hateful and dangerous".</p>

<p>The sports outfitter took a heavy financial blow from the move, which it forecast would cut its 2022 net income in half.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In its latest statement released on Thursday, Adidas said it has been and continues to be "actively engaged in conversations with our employees about the events that lead to our decision to end the partnership. "They have our full support and as we're working through the details of the termination," the statement read.</p>

<p>Adidas began a review of its relationship with West after he appeared at a Paris fashion show wearing a shirt emblazoned with "White Lives Matter", a slogan created as a backlash to the Black Lives Matter movement.</p>

<p>Days later he was locked out of Twitter and Instagram over anti-Semitic threats.</p>

According to the latest reports,&nbsp;Beijing’s Chaoyang District Court has ordered Wu to serve&nbsp;11 years and 6 months in jail for a 2020 rape case,&nbsp;and 1 year and 10 months for "assembling a crowd to engage in sexual promiscuity"&nbsp;in a 2018 incident, in which he allegedly assaulted two intoxicated women.</p>

<p>The court also stated that the three other victims in the rape case were drunk when the crime took place and were unable to resist due to the intoxication. A&nbsp;combined 13-year sentence has been agreed on and Wu would be immediately deported back to Canada after serving his prison&nbsp;time.</p>

<p>“According to the facts ... the nature, circumstances and harmful consequences of the crime, the court made the above judgment,” the Beijing court said in an online statement.</p>

<p>A Canadian diplomat was present&nbsp;in the court to hear the sentencing, according to the same statement.</p>

<p>Bob Dylan’s publisher is offering refunds for a $600 special edition of his new book 'The Philosophy of Modern Song',&nbsp;acknowledging that the allegedly “hand-signed” copies were not individually inscribed.</p>

<p>“To those who purchased THE PHILOSOPHY OF MODERN SONG limited edition, we want to apologize,” Simon &amp; Schuster announced in a statement posted Sunday on Instagram.</p>

<p>“As it turns out, the limited edition books do contain Bob’s original signature, but in a penned replica form. We are addressing this immediately by providing each purchaser with an immediate refund.”</p>

<p>Simon &amp; Schuster’s statement came after days of complaints from customers, who through social media had compared their copies and found the autographs suspiciously alike.</p>

<p>The books had arrived with a letter from Simon &amp; Schuster CEO Jonathan Karp, vouching for the signature’s authenticity.</p>

We are addressing this immediately by providing each purchaser with an immediate refund.” Simon & Schuster’s statement came after days of complaints from customers, who through social media had compared their copies and found the autographs suspiciously alike. <p>"This will necessitate a reorganization of Disney Media &amp; Entertainment Distribution. As a result, Kareem Daniel will be leaving the company," Iger revealed in a memo obtained by CNBC.</p>

<p>"Our goal is to have the new structure in place in the coming months. Without question, elements of DMED will remain, but I fundamentally believe that storytelling is what fuels this company, and it belongs at the center of how we organize our businesses," Iger added. "This is a moment of great change and opportunity for our company as we begin our second century."</p>

<p>During his three-year tenure as CEO, Chapek had reorganized the company to establish the DMED division and consolidate budgetary power for Disney’s content and distribution divisions under Daniel and Iger's latest decision marked the swift undoing of the same.</p>

<p>In a dramatic twist worthy of a "Star Wars" spin-off, Disney ditched CEO Bob Chapek and brought back Bob Iger, Hollywood's most respected executive, who faces a huge challenge to revive the Magic Kingdom.</p>

<p>Iger's return comes as Disney is trying to negotiate an uncertain era, where investors have lost faith in some of the most storied names in US media as companies bleed cash in the hunt for customers to streaming platforms.</p>

<p>Disney's board of directors rehired Iger for a two-year contract that will add to the 15 years he ruled over the company until 2020 when he handed the reins to Chapek.</p>

<p>But Disney's share price has slumped 40 per cent this year and Chapek was unceremoniously fired after less than three years in the top job, much of it struggling to fill the big shoes left by Iger.</p>

<p>Iger's leadership was extraordinary even by Hollywood's standards.</p>

<p>The 71-year-old led Disney to new frontiers when he bought the Star Wars and Marvel franchises and launched the Disney+ streaming service to rival Netflix head-on.</p>

<p>He also bought 21 Century Fox from media baron Rupert Murdoch and held on to sports network ESPN despite calls to sell it, maintaining an empire that stretched from theme parks to local TV stations and cruise ships.</p>

<p>The return of Iger was cheered on by Wall Street, with Disney's share price surging by six per cent on Monday, and analysts recommending the stock for the first time since he exited the company.</p>

<p><strong>- 'Not guaranteed' -</strong></p>

<p>But some analysts were not so sure, warning that the world that Iger left in early 2020 -- before Covid-19, before the streaming wars -- had changed.</p>

<p>"The bold move might feel like the right one, however, the business is at a different phase of growth," said Paolo Pescatore, analyst at PP Foresight.</p>

<p>"It will take time and immediate success is not guaranteed."</p>

<p>The core problem for Iger will be to turn a profit at Disney+ when, according to the latest figures in November, it burned through four billion dollars in just 12 months.</p>

<p>Launched in early 2020, Disney+ streams all that the Star Wars and Marvel franchises and Disney have to offer, releasing new content at a furious rate, but that weighs heavily on finances.</p>

<p>On the positive side, the Disney+ platform continues to gain subscribers and had 164 million customers at the end of September.</p>

<p>But the financial hole has put pressure on Disney's other sectors: Theme parks and merchandising have succeeded for now to keep the Disney group in the green.</p>

<p><strong>- 'Expensive' -</strong></p>

<p>The pressure has grown worse as the economic outlook sours.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Households are winnowing down entertainment subscriptions to just one or two, a cold reality that has seen the Netflix share price plummet by 50 per cent in a year.</p>

<p>For Jonathan Kees of Daiwa Capital Markets America, Disney's current troubles are also a result of choices made by Iger.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Iger pushed for the creation of Disney+, which has become an expensive business venture," the analyst said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As for the 2019 purchase of 21st Century Fox, "that purchase alone loaded up the Disney balance sheet with an incredible amount of debt, which is not what investors are valuing in this current stock market."</p>

<p>And even under the hugely respected Iger, Disney will face pressure from activist investors looking for quick results.</p>

<p>The Third Point fund, which increased its stake in Disney this summer, is among the most vocal on the matter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dan Loeb, its founder and CEO, has previously demanded that Disney hive off the ESPN sports media business from the rest of the group before reversing his position.</p>

<p>And according to the Wall Street Journal, the return of Iger is decried by activist fund Trian, which acquired more than $800 million worth of Disney shares after the stock market tumbled after poor results.</p>
