"There is something mind-boggling about it," Philip told CNN as he and his wife cradled their newborns at their home located outside Portland, Oregon. "I was 5 years old when God gave life to Lydia and Timothy, and he’s been preserving that life ever since."

"In a sense, they’re our oldest children, even though they’re our smallest children,"&nbsp;the father of the twins added. The Ridgeways have four children,&nbsp;none were conceived via IVF or donors.

The embryos belonged to an anonymous married couple, who froze them in 1992. Using in-vitro fertilization, the embryos were created with the husband's sperm, who was in his early 50s and a 34-year-old egg donor.

For nearly three-long decades, they were stored in tiny straws with liquid nitrogen. They were first kept at a fertility lab on the West Coast. In 2007, the couple donated the embryos to the National Embryo Donation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.&nbsp;

Billie Eilish's brother Finneas reacts to her relationship with Jesse Rutherford

At the Marrakech International Film Festival, Iranian director Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi bagged the Etoile d'Or top award on Saturday for his debut feature 'A Tale of Shemroon'. While receiving the honour, he&nbsp;dedicated his prize to the women of Iran, who are currently protesting for their rights and freedom in the country.

While referring to the civil unrest in his country which was&nbsp;sparked by the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in September,&nbsp;Dehkordi said on the stage,&nbsp;"I want to pay tribute to all those who lost their lives fighting to regain the freedom to be themselves."

"I dedicate my award to all the women of Iran and to the young generation who risk their lives for freedom," added the 43-year-old filmmaker.

A crackdown on the protests over the death of Amini has left at least 378 dead, according to a new report released Saturday by the Norway-based Iran Human Rights group.

Amini died three days after her arrest in Tehran by the notorious morality police over an alleged breach of the Islamic republic's strict dress code for women.

On Friday, artist agency Big Hit Music announced that Jin's first solo single's sales have surpassed more than one million copies, which makes the pop sensation the third solo artist in K-pop history to sell over one million copies of an album.

According to Gaon Chart, an outstanding total of 1,024,382 copies of 'The Astronaut' have been sold so far. It was released on October 28, 2022.

Co-written by Jin, British rock band Coldplay, and Norwegian DJ Kygo, the single talks about Jin's affection for his fans.&nbsp;

Previously, Chris Martin spoke about Coldplay's first collaboration with BTS. The 45-year-old musician said,&nbsp;"I don't think we'll ever be able to match the BTS surprise. That was surprising even for us."

"The journey from the first time it was mentioned - I was just like 'how could that ever work?' - to the song itself arriving and me thinking, 'that could be for BTS' - to now it feeling like the most natural collaboration in the world. BTS: Jin's 'The Astronaut' breaks record for being fastest single by solo artist to sell million copies

Member of parliament and former actress Jaya Bachchan joined her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda to talk about women empowerment and gender pay parity on the latest episode of 'What The Hell Navya' podcast. Jaya, who often grabs headlines for making controversial comments about paparazzi and media, took a hit at "educated women" and said that they are their own enemies.&nbsp;

During the end segment of the episode titled 'One Crown, Many Shoes', Navya questioned the discrimination women face in society and spoke about sons being raised differently than daughters. Interrupting Navya, Jaya said, "Educated women also have double standards, which is so sad. I want to say it sometimes but do not feel good about saying it, but women are their own enemies."

During the podcast, Navya also spoke about some women trying to pull other women down and shared what she feels about it. "I feel like even though we are trying to achieve the same thing, the same goal, we are all trying to be successful, we are still trying to one-up each other and put other women down for the sake of feeling better. I don't know why that happens. I don't know why, it's a collective thing that we all need to do. Comparing women and men, Jaya said&nbsp;that women often dress up for other women as they care too much about what others will think. However, men have different criteria. "Women dress for each other, men dress for the women," said Jaya.

Asserting that society is influenced more by men and the social system works in their favour, the 24-year-old entrepreneur said, "We do live in a world that's mostly designed for men. We've kind of almost adapted to the world that we live in but imagine if it was built more to our comfort," shared Navya.

Adding to the conversation, Shweta said that if a woman demands for equal pay at her workplace, it is completely justified. "Equal Pay is not an unreasonable ask," she said.

"Mexico is a country that's racist and denies it," he added.

Huerta said it is a myth that Mexico today is a mixed-race country where skin colour is unimportant.

"This is how we deny the cultural and linguistic diversity of all Indigenous nations, Afro-descendant communities, Asians," he wrote.

Huerta, who also played infamous drug trafficker Rafael Caro Quintero in the Netflix hit 'Narcos: Mexico',&nbsp;criticized the way of thinking "that places white, modern, Western, on a higher level."

Even before "Black Panther," Huerta was the figurehead of "Poder Prieto" (Brown Power), a collective of actresses and actors who feel discriminated against because of their origin and their skin colour.

"We're only given characters of delinquents, domestic workers, or the poor," said Christel Klitbo, 40, who is of Danish, African and Lebanese descent.

Aware of the powerful influence of the media, Huerta said he and the other group members see a "compelling need to change racist narratives and practices, which have been normalized, reproduced and perpetuated in the audiovisual industry."

Huerta hopes that his appearance in 'Black Panther' -- which also stars Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, who was born in Mexico to Kenyan parents -- will help their struggle.

"The perception changes if we have these dark-skinned actors, of clearly Indigenous descent, in positions of power and influence, who are kings and great warriors," he said.

Huerta also wants to see changes in wider Mexican customs, such as the popular saying still heard in some homes that daughters should marry a white man to "improve the race."

While he is in favour of laws against racism, Huerta avoids commenting on the policies of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's party, which has pledged to "restore the dignity" of Indigenous peoples.

"I believe that the demands of the Indigenous peoples have not been met. But this is a subject that does not concern me because I am not Indigenous," he said Friday at his book launch.

"As a simple external observer, I believe that we could do more and better," he added.

Mexico is home to 23.2 million people over the age of three who identify as Indigenous, representing 19.4 per cent of the population, according to the national statistics agency INEGI.

Around one in five Mexican adults said they had experienced discrimination over the past year, mainly because of their skin colour, in the first national survey on the subject in 2O17.&nbsp;

And three-quarters of Indigenous people felt undervalued by Mexican society.

"We are a new link in a chain that dates back 500 years. All the struggles have been the same for 500 years," Huerta concluded, referring to the Spanish conquest and fall of the Aztec empire in 1521.

India's I&amp;B Minister Anurag Thakur took some time out to speak to the media ahead of the grand opening ceremony of the 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India in Goa. "This year lots of premiers are happening here. Several new initiatives are taken. This time, 1000 entries came for the 75 Creative Minds. 75 creative minds were chosen from 10 fields. People from remote areas also participated. 75 creative minds is for those who used to feel scared of coming to Mumbai, now their requirements are being bridged, and opportunities are being provided for all to be able to participate in the mainstream film industry. This IFFI platform is not just for the Mumbai film industry but for people from across the nation to come together and work together,” Anurag Thakur shared.

The minister also spoke about making India a "global content hub" and creating a collaborative ecosystem for India's film industries&nbsp;to go global through its film market.

He said, "The IFFI is Asia's largest film festival and we are in the 53rd edition... We want to establish this as a platform where eminent filmmakers, directors, and artists of the country and the world get an opportunity to showcase their films. We want to make India a global content hub, be it for content creation, co-production, filmmaking or shooting."

Joy Sen Gupta thinks, popular culture has depicted both men and women in stereotypical ways and also subverted cliches about masculinity and femininity. He opines, "Women today can be avenging angels, action heroines leading armies to conquer galaxies and men need not be just hyper-masculine, misogynistic action heroes but also sensitive poets, academicians, artists and intellectuals. Big blockbusters though still have all the all-conquering hyper-masculine men, projecting machismo at different levels." From the beginning of evolution, he says, men have used their physical strength to dominate and exploit women and adds, " From the feudal times onwards, women have been treated as property and objects of pleasure and have gone through unimaginable misery. Today women are staking their claim to their share of volition and that claim is celebrated as International Women’s Day. I don't know what men are staking their claim on via International Men's Day but if the day signifies that men should be more sensitive, more inclusive, and move away from machismo and misogyny, then I am for it."
