<p>For the paper, published in Transport &amp; Health, the researchers analysed travel in the north of England, where residents face worse health outcomes than the rest of England and many rural and suburban areas suffer from poor transport accessibility.</p>

<p>Specifically, they looked at the links between perceived constraints to travel outside of the local area, such as a lack of suitable public transport, and self-rated health, considering trip frequency, the number of different places visited, distance travelled, car use and public transport use.</p>

<p>Lead author Dr Paulo Anciaes (UCL Bartlett School of Environment, Energy &amp; Resources) said, "We expected to find that restrictions on travel through a lack of access to suitable public transport or to a private car would be linked to residents’ perception of their health because of the lack of social participation."</p>

<p>"We explored the links between constraints to travel more than 15 miles from home, demographics and&nbsp;location and social participation in how residents perceived their own health, finding that the key variable is the number of different places people visit outside their local area. This links to more social participation and better health."</p>

<p>The researchers conducted an online survey of 3,014 nationally representative residents in the north of England. Constraints to travel have previously been identified as contributing to economic disadvantage and a lower sense of well-being in the region, but the impact on health hadn’t been analysed before. The team used a research technique called "path analysis", which uncovers the direct and indirect effects of constraints to travel outside of people’s local area.</p>

Among this group, constraints to the number of different places people can travel to are linked to less frequent contact with friends and participation in clubs and societies.</p>

<p>Dr Anciaes explained,&nbsp;"Those aged over 55 are more likely to face other constraints to travel such as limited mobility. They are also more likely to suffer from loneliness. In the north of England, rural and suburban areas with limited access options are more likely to experience population loss as young people move to the cities in search of work and good travel options. Meanwhile, older generations are left behind in these areas with limited transport options. The range of places they can visit is low, leading to less social participation and lower levels of general health."</p>

Nicole Kidman joins CIA drama series 'Lioness'; actress set to play CIA's senior supervisor

<p>Remembering his late nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff, Quavo released a new song titled 'Without You'. The song pays a tribute to the late rapper, who was shot and killed in Houston, Texas in November. He was 28 years old.</p>

<p>In the tribute song, Quavo raps, "Tears rollin’ down my eyes/ Can’t tell you how many times I cried/ Days ain’t the same without you/ I don’t know if I’m the same without you."&nbsp;The music video of the song shows Quavo sitting on a chair and smoking inside a studio as an emotional tune plays in the background.</p>

<p>After Takeoff's memorial service in Atlanta, Quavo posted a long note on Instagram, which read, "Dear Take, It's so hard to tell you ima miss you because you (were) always with me and we did everything together. Since we were kids you (have) been by my side looking up at me, them eyes waiting on me to make the next move.. then you followed up right behind me. You always made sure I did it first so you can do it right with me. You never competed with me, we were always on the same team. You hated playing against me because I was always playing too hard or too ruff then I can hear my mama say ‘sonnnn not too ruff’ cuz I didn’t like to lose! (sic)"</p>

Quavo posts heartbreaking tribute song 'Without You' for Takeoff

<p>American rapper Theophilus London, who had been missing for months, has been found "safe and well". On Wednesday, London's cousin Mikhail Noel made the announcement on Instagram and revealed that the rapper has been located.</p>

<p>Sharing a picture of the rapper, Noel wrote, "We have found Theo. He is safe and well. At this time the family would love prayers and privacy. Thank you all!"</p>

<p>In the caption, she further added, "Truly appreciate everyone’s support in finding my cousin. It’s refreshing and rewarding to have such a strong support system of family and friends!!! God bless each and everyone of you all."&nbsp;</p>

<p>His father Larry London recently told NBC that the rapper was found walking in west Los Angeles by some of his friends who were looking for him. He will soon be headed back to New York.</p>

<p>He said, "Theo is in Los Angeles and heading to family in New York for a grandmother’s funeral and after that we want him to go to Trinidad to recuperate and to regenerate and get himself together. He’s been through an ordeal. His mind is fragile. He needs to get back to writing his music."</p>

<p>Actor Colin Farrell said that playing 'The Penguin' in Matt Reeves' 'The Batman' was just the "tip of the iceberg" in his exploration of the character, which will continue with its upcoming eponymous HBO Max spinoff series.</p>

<p>At the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Thursday night, Farrell opened up to Variety's Marc Malkin about how 'The Penguin' series came together, saying that he had no idea when he started filming 'The Batman' that his character would get its own show, reports Variety.</p>

<p>"The only thing I had an idea was that I wasn't nearly getting to explore the character as much as I wanted to," Farrell said on the red carpet.</p>

<p>"Because there was all this extraordinary work done by [makeup artists] Mike Marino and Mike Fontaine and his team, and I just thought it was the tip of the iceberg, pardon the pun, that we were getting to do the six or seven scenes that we did in the film. I was grateful for them, but I wanted more."</p>

<p>Farrell said that he then "had a bit of a thought about it" and talked to producer Dylan Clark, who was also keen on the idea. But what really made him want to do 'The Penguin' spinoff was the work of make-up artists Marino and Fontaine, who were responsible for Farrell's shocking transformation into the supervillain.</p>

<p>"Honest to God, any thought I had about an extended series was to do with Mike Marino's work. I just knew there was so much to do with it - age it up, age it down," Farrell continued.</p>

<p>"He's just such a genius, Mike, so it was his work that was the inspiration, really."</p>

<p>In fact, Farrell's Penguin look was such an effective disguise that he took a trip to Starbucks in it during the first makeup test. "They're cool about it in Ireland. People don't be looking," Farrell said.</p>

<p>"People don't be paying as much attention as you think!"</p>

<p>Production on 'The Penguin' series begins in February, Farrell said, and will take around five or six months.</p>

<p>Farrell was being honoured at the gala for his work in Martin McDonagh's 'The Banshees of Inisherin', for which the film festival awarded him the Desert Palm Achievement Award in acting.</p>

<p>On Friday, Bollywood actress Jacquline Fernandez and her legal team arrived at Patiala House Court in New Delhi in connection to a money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.</p>

<p>Fernandez, 37, is one of the accused in the Rs 2 billion money laundering case. She is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate and has appeared before the central probe agency several times for questioning.</p>

<p>Earlier in November, the actress was granted bail by a Delhi court. "In that sense, the applicant is entitled to relief of bail, more particularly when she was not arrested during the investigation," the court stated.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Back in 2021, Delhi Police Economic Offence Wing (EOW) filed a chargesheet naming 14 accused including conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, his Wife Leena Maria Paul and several others. The Chargesheet was filed under various sections of IPC and provisions of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).</p>

<p>According to the EOW, Leena, Sukesh and others used hawala routes, creating shell companies to park the black money earned through the proceeds of crime.</p>

<p>Currently, Chandrasekhar and his actress wife Leena Maria Paul are in prison. They were arrested by the Delhi Police in September 2021, for their alleged role in the money laundering and duping&nbsp;case.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the work front, she was last seen in 'Cirkus', helmed by Rohit Shetty. The film also starred Ranveer Singh.</p>

<p>Fred White, who was a drummer in the popular US band Earth, Wind &amp; Fire, has left for his heavenly abode. He was&nbsp;67.</p>

<p>Born in 1955 in Chicago, White began drumming at an early age and went on to win six Grammy awards with the funk band, founded in 1969 by his brother, the late Maurice White.</p>

<p>Earth, Wind &amp; Fire quickly rose to fame in the 1970s, becoming one of the early acts to break the colour barrier in pop music, winning a white fanbase while remaining favourites within the African American community.</p>

<p>In 1979, the band became the first Black act to sell out New York's Madison Square Garden.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The group won acclaim not only for songwriting but for its energetic live shows, led by a forceful horn section and featuring a kalimba, an African percussion instrument played by plucking metal tines.</p>

"Child protege, member of the EWF ORIGINAL 9, with gold records at the young age of 16 years old!" White's older brother wrote. "Our family is saddened today with the loss of an amazing and talented family member," another White's brother, Verdine, said in an Instagram post. Born in 1955 in Chicago, White began drumming at an early age and went on to win six Grammy awards with the funk band, founded in 1969 by his brother, the late Maurice White. Earth, Wind & Fire quickly rose to fame in the 1970s, becoming one of the early acts to break the colour barrier in pop music, winning a white fanbase while remaining favourites within the African American community. In 1979, the band became the first Black act to sell out New York's Madison Square Garden. The group won acclaim not only for songwriting but for its energetic live shows, led by a forceful horn section and featuring a kalimba, an African percussion instrument played by plucking metal tines. While never disappearing completely, Earth, Wind & Fire enjoyed a career resurgence after the election of former president Barack Obama, who invited the band as one of the first entertainers when he entered the White House in 2009. <p>Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt had an adorable reaction to&nbsp;British Film Institute's Robin Baker saying&nbsp;that she should be nominated at the British Academy Film Awards and Oscars for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. The actress sent her love to the BFI curator after he penned a long note appreciating her portrayal of&nbsp;one of Mumbai's well-known and influential brothel owners.</p>

<p>On his Instagram post, Baker wrote, "If I was a member of BAFTA or the Academy (I'm not), this year I would be voting for Alia Bhatt as Best Actress for her performance in GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI (Sanjay Leela Bhansali, India, 2022). She plays a prostitute turned underworld brothel madam turned campaigner for sex workers’ rights, and the joy of her performance is how she grows as her character develops. (sic)"</p>

<p>Although he is not a member of the BAFTA&nbsp;or the Academy,&nbsp;Baker urged voters to consider Alia for Best Actress awards and nominate her.</p>

<p>The head curator at BFI further wrote, "The film is big, brash, sentimental and hugely enjoyable, but Bhatt is sensational. There's the additional pleasure of the film's classic Hindi cinema references - from Gangubai's love of Dev Anand to scenes of cinema-going in the 50s and 60s to the numerous film posters lining the streets around Bombay's red light district. If you haven't seen it (especially BAFTA and Academy Award-voting friends), please head to Netflix ASAP."</p>

<p>The 76th BAFTAs nominations will be announced on January 19. The award ceremony will be held on February 9 in London. The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards will be revealed on January 24 and the ceremony is scheduled for&nbsp;March 12.</p>

<p>'Gangubai Kathiawadi', which also features Ajay Devgn,&nbsp;is loosely based on the true story of Ganga Jagjivandas Kathiawadi. The movie received critical acclaim for its production value and the cast's performance. It also turned out to be a success at the BO.</p>

<p>On the personal front,&nbsp;Alia gave birth to her first child, Raha Kapoor, on November 6. She tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor in April last year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The two recently shared screen space in 'Brahmastra'.</p>
