<p>The Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday&nbsp;that King Charles III and Queen Camilla's coronation oil has been consecrated in Jerusalem. The palace revealed that the Chrism oil that will be used to anoint the 74-year-old monarch and the 75-year-old Queen Consort on May 6 was consecrated, on Friday morning, at The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.</p>

<p>The coronation oil has been made with olives harvested from local groves at the Monastery of the Ascension and the Monastery of Mary Magdalene. The olives were pressed near Bethlehem, and the oil was perfumed with scents of neroli, benzoin, sesame, rose, jasmine, cinnamon, amber and orange blossom.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previous versions, however, included civet oil, which is made&nbsp;from the glands of small mammals, and ambergris from the intestines of whales.</p>

<p>Reflecting on modern animal-friendly sensitivities, the coronation oil will be animal cruelty-free and will not include any ingredients derived from animals. Since there had been concerns about animal cruelty and the need to protect wildlife, the latest formula of the holy oil has been kept vegan.</p>

<p>Just like his mother Queen Elizabeth, Charles and his better half Camilla will be anointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury during their crowning ceremony.</p>

<p>In a statement, Justin Welby, the current Archbishop of Canterbury, spoke about the royal family's connection to one of Jerusalem's holiest Christian sites, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. He also thanked the Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, and the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, The Most Reverend Hosam Naoum, for blessing the coronation oil.</p>

<p>"I am honoured and grateful that His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III and Archbishop Hosam Naoum have consecrated the oil that will be used to anoint His Majesty The King. I want to thank especially His Beatitude for providing this Coronation Oil, which reflects The King's personal family connection with the Holy Land and his great care for its peoples," Welby said. King Charles breaks coronation tradition: Monarch to be anointed with animal cruelty-free oil

<p>Celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were recently spotted praying at the Mahakaleshwar temple in the Indian city of Ujjain along with other devotees. Pictures and clips of the two sitting on the temple floor and doing rituals&nbsp;have gone viral on social media.&nbsp;While&nbsp;Anushka was seen wearing a light pink saree, Virat chose a white number.&nbsp;At one point, he is seen speaking to the priest with folded hands.</p>

<p>Earlier, the couple visited temples in Uttarakhand and Vrindavan together. At the time, they were also joined by their daughter Vamika.&nbsp;It’s believed that the two are avid followers of Baba Neem Karoli. In a recent interaction, the cricketer spoke about his wife and said that she has made "massive sacrifices" as a mother in the last two years.</p>

<p>"The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she made have been massive. Looking at her, I realised whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement," Virat said in a recent RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) podcast.</p>

<p>Sharing graphic pictures of the scene of Aaron's death, his mother wrote, "Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter. I want to share these death scene photos with you all because the coroner wrote it off as an accidental drug overdose. They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past."</p>

<p>The post further read, "Look at the photos. They were not taken by the police. But they allowed people to go in and out. Although a lot of potential homicide information was there for years. The couple had lost custody of Prince due to issues concerning domestic violence and drug use.&nbsp;</p>

Aaron Carter's grieving mother shares graphic pics from his death scene for the first time

<p>Indian actor Allu Arjun, who won millions of hearts as Pushpa Raj in the 2021 film <em>Pushpa: The Rise</em>, has signed his 22nd film. The actor is currently busy shooting the second part in the <em>Pushpa </em>franchise, <em>Pushpa: The Rule</em>, which is expected to hit theatres in 2024. For his next project, he is joining hands with <em>Arjun Reddy</em> fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Bhushan Kumar of T Series is bringing the two legends together and bankrolling the film.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reddy Vanga is currently&nbsp;busy&nbsp;shooting <em>Animal </em>with Ranbir Kapoor. The director will begin shooting with Arjun after completing his next film titled <em>Spirit </em>with Prabhas.</p>

<p>Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the news on Twitter. <p>A good night’s sleep can solve all sorts of problems – but scientists have now discovered new evidence that sleeping well may make you less vulnerable to infection. Scientists at the University of Bergen recruited medical students working in doctors’ surgeries to hand out short questionnaires to patients, asking about sleep quality and recent infections. They found that patients who reported sleeping too little or too much were more likely also to report a recent infection, and patients who experienced chronic sleep problems were more likely to report needing antibiotics.</p>

<p>“Most previous observational studies have looked at the association between sleep and infection in a sample of the general population,” said Dr Ingeborg Forthun, corresponding author of the study published in Frontiers in Psychiatry. “We wanted to assess this association among patients in primary care, where we know that the prevalence of sleep problems is much higher than in the population at large.”</p>

<p><strong>Studying sleep in the doctor’s office</strong></p>

<p>Evidence already exists that sleep problems raise the risk of infection: in a previous study, people deliberately infected with rhinovirus were less likely to catch a cold if they reported healthy sleep. Sleep disturbances are common and treatable, and if a link to infection and a mechanism can be confirmed, it might make it possible to cut down on antibiotic use and protect people against infections before they happen. But experimental studies can’t reproduce real-life circumstances.</p>

<p>Forthun and her colleagues gave medical students a questionnaire and asked them to hand it out to patients in the waiting rooms of the general practitioners’ surgeries where the students were working. 1,848 surveys were collected across Norway. The surveys asked people to describe their sleep quality — how long they typically sleep, how well they feel they sleep, and when they prefer to sleep — as well as whether they had had any infections or used any antibiotics in the past three months. The survey also contained a scale which identifies cases of chronic insomnia disorder.</p>

<p><strong>Risk of infection raised by a quarter or more</strong></p>

<p>The scientists found that patients who reported sleeping less than six hours a night were 27 per cent more likely to report an infection, while patients sleeping more than nine hours were 44 per cent more likely to report one. Less than six hours of sleep, or chronic insomnia, also raised the risk that you would need an antibiotic to overcome an infection.</p>

<p>“The higher risk of reporting an infection among patients who reported short or long sleep duration is not that surprising as we know that having an infection can cause both poor sleep and sleepiness,” said Forthun. “But the higher risk of an infection among those with a chronic insomnia disorder indicates that the direction of this relationship also goes in the other direction; poor sleep can make you more susceptible to an infection.”</p>

<p>Although there was some potential for bias in the sense that people’s recall of sleep or recent health issues is not necessarily perfect, and no clinical information was collected from the doctors who subsequently saw the patients, the study design allowed for the collection of data from a large study group experiencing real-world conditions.</p>

<p>“We don’t know why the patients visited their GPs, and it could be that an underlying health problem affects both the risk of poor sleep and risk of infection, but we don’t think this can fully explain our results,” said Forthun.</p>

<p>She continued: “Insomnia is very common among patients in primary care but found to be under-recognized by general practitioners. Increased awareness of the importance of sleep, not only for general well-being but for patients’ health, is needed both among patients and general practitioners.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>A two-decade-long study has reaffirmed that seven healthy habits and lifestyle factors, such as exercising, eating nutritious diets, and quitting smoking among others, may play a crucial&nbsp;role in reducing the risk of dementia.</p>

<p>According to the research's&nbsp;preliminary findings, which were recently presented at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting in Boston, we can lower the chances of developing conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease during old age by simply adopting a healthy lifestyle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The study followed thousands of US women for about 20 years and found that the following helps reduce dementia risk:</p>

	<li>Eating a better diet</li>
	<li>Maintaining a healthy weight</li>
	<li>Quitting smoking</li>
	<li>Keeping normal blood pressure</li>
	<li>Controlling cholesterol</li>

<p>"Since we now know that dementia can begin in the brain decades before diagnosis, it’s important that we learn more about how your habits in middle age can affect your risk of dementia in old age," said Pamela Rist, an associate epidemiologist in the division of preventive medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and a member of the American Academy of Neurology. "The good news is that making healthy lifestyle choices in middle age may lead to a decreased risk of dementia later in life."</p>

<p>"It can be empowering for people to know that by taking steps such as exercising for half an hour a day or keeping their blood pressure under control, they can reduce their risk of dementia," added Rist.</p>

<p>The number of people living with dementia, which is one of the world’s biggest health threats,&nbsp;is forecast to nearly triple to 153 million by 2050. According to experts, it presents a major threat to future health and social care systems in almost every community and country.</p>

<p>Some Chinese researchers presented similar findings last month and suggested that a combination of healthy lifestyle choices such as eating well, regularly exercising, playing cards and socialising at least twice a week may help slow the rate of memory decline and reduce the risk of dementia.</p>

<p>The US study was conducted among 13,720 women, who were in their fifties. After more than two decades of follow-up, researchers examined the health data and identified those diagnosed with dementia. A total of 1,771 women, which equals 13% of those who participated in the study, developed the health condition.</p>

<p>Susan Mitchell, head of policy at Alzheimer’s Research UK, also shared her views about the findings. She said that the study added to the overwhelming evidence that by exercising and eating healthily during middle age, people can reduce the risk of dementia in later life. "Beyond being active and looking after our heart, getting a good night’s sleep, challenging our brain and keeping connected to the people around us can all help reduce our chances of developing dementia," she added.</p>

"The good news is that making healthy lifestyle choices in middle age may lead to a decreased risk of dementia later in life." "It can be empowering for people to know that by taking steps such as exercising for half an hour a day or keeping their blood pressure under control, they can reduce their risk of dementia," added Rist. The number of people living with dementia, which is one of the world’s biggest health threats, is forecast to nearly triple to 153 million by 2050. Susan Mitchell, head of policy at Alzheimer’s Research UK, also shared her views about the findings. She said that the study added to the overwhelming evidence that by exercising and eating healthily during middle age, people can reduce the risk of dementia in later life. "Beyond being active and looking after our heart, getting a good night’s sleep, challenging our brain and keeping connected to the people around us can all help reduce our chances of developing dementia," she added. <p>“Although the model might seem abstract at first sight, it shows how achievement emotions relate to critically important parts of our lives and can define how we perform in job interviews, tests and other stressful situations.</p>

<p>“Interestingly we found feelings like anxiety and anger can sometimes motivate us more than enjoyment or relaxation.</p>

<p>“However, despite its energising powers, the knife edge of anxiety can lead to mental health issues, undermine the functioning of the immune system, and lead to a drop in performance in the long run.</p>

<p>“Overall hope was the healthiest and best way to spark success and promote long-term happiness.</p>

<p>“Failure and struggle as such don’t define one’s future, it is the perception of failures that has a strong effect on emotional responses.”</p>
