This comes amid a flurry of drone strikes by Iran-backed Houthi rebels and the counterstrikes by the US in the Red Sea.&nbsp;

The attack has been claimed by Yemen’s Houthi militia. No casualties have been reported on board the ship, as per reports&nbsp;citing a statement by the owner of the ship.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ships navigating in the Red Sea are frequently being targeted, which is triggering concerns regarding a spillover of the Gaza war.

According to the global shipping line Mediterranean Shipping Co, which was founded by Gianluigi Aponte in Italy in 1970, United VIII was attacked while it was transiting the Red Sea. United VIII was reportedly built in 2006. Presently, the ship is sailing under the flag of Liberia.

"All crew are safe with no reported injuries and a thorough assessment of the vessel is being conducted," MSC said and added, “The vessel was en route from King Abdullah Port to Karachi.”

The company has assured that its top priority is to ensure the safety of the&nbsp;seafarers and that "MSC will continue to reroute vessels booked for Suez transit via the Cape of Good Hope”.

With the number of attacks in the Red Sea seeing a spike, the Cape of Good Hope route, on the Atlantic coast of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, is being treated as an alternative by the shipping companies.&nbsp;

<h2>A nearby coalition task force notified&nbsp;</h2>

Reports by news agencies citing the MSC shipping company said that following the attack, the ship had sent a notification to a nearby coalition task force warship. Presently, the shipping company is engaged in carrying out ‘evasive manoeuvres’.&nbsp;

Somalia said on Tuesday that the pact its breakaway region of Somaliland has signed with Ethiopia allowing it to use the Red Sea port of Berbera had no legal force and threatened regional stability.

She has not only broken the glass ceiling, she has dissolved it."&nbsp;

Taking the article saga on the social media platform Facebook, Piccolotti said, “At this point, prime minister, please clarify: are you a woman, are you a man or are you non-binary?”

The authorities managed to track down the individual to Amravati, but no arrest was made due to his unstable mental state, reportedly confirmed by an official from the Amravati police.

Residing within the Raja Peth police station limits, the man dialed the 112 emergency helpline number of the state police on Saturday (Dec 30) evening, saying that a bomb blast&nbsp;was to take place in Mumbai, before abruptly ending the call, the official mentioned.

Further investigations revealed the call's origin from a mobile phone, allowing for immediate location tracing, he added.

The individual is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment, as per the official.

Responding promptly, the police conducted searches at various key public places and installations across the city. Fortunately, no explosive devices or suspicious items were discovered.

In a related incident on December 27, the Jaipur airport authorities received a threatening email, claiming an intent to blow up the airport.

Terminal manager Anurag Gupta subsequently complained to the Jaipur Airport police station.

Following the receipt of the threat email, the airport authority alerted the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) and other security officials, leading to a thorough search operation at the airport.

This comes after the French court finally allowed the passengers to leave France four days, following which the Nicaragua-bound aircraft, an Airbus A340, landed in Mumbai on December 26.

The plane landed in Mumbai had a total of 276 passengers onboard. Reports citing a top state Crime Investigation Department (CID) official, said that at least 60 out of the total passengers were from Gujarat. These people have already arrived in their native state and their interrogation is undergoing.

"They were sent back from France. There was a rumour they had planned to enter the US illegally after landing in Nicaragua. In their statements, they told us they were going there as tourists. We are going into the details to find out who were the agents behind their trip," S P Rajkumar, Additional Director General of Police, CID - Crime and Railways, reportedly said.&nbsp;

The top IPS officer said,&nbsp;"We are verifying their documents to ascertain whether they used genuine or forged documents to proceed to Central America. We will also check their financial transactions because, ideally, they should not have paid more if they were going there as normal tourists and not with any other intention."&nbsp;

FIR has been lodged under Section 3 of the Explosive Substances Act (punishment for causing an explosion likely to endanger life or property), media reports said citing a senior cop.&nbsp;The report was filed at Tughlak Road police station basis a complaint by a police officer.

This comes after reports citing sources said that the National Security Gaurd (NSG) will hand over a "highly sensitive" and "sealed" report to the Delhi Police.&nbsp;Earlier on Friday (Dec 29), the outgoing MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in a presser said that the concerned agencies are looking into the matter.&nbsp;

So far in the investigation, Delhi police have been able to analyse the CCTV footage, initially focusing on 12 individuals who had visited the crime scene in the hours preceding the blast, as per reports citing sources.&nbsp;

The police traced the auto driver, who revealed that the man who "was not able to speak Hindi properly" had given Rs 150 fare to be dropped at Prithviraj Road.&nbsp;
