Its strategy is also to continue building pressure on the government in the Rajya Sabha.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The overall parliamentary strategy is in place for the INDIA parties. Tactics to execute that strategy evolve every day. Rule 198 of the Lok Sabha states the procedure of moving a no-confidence motion. 'Picture abhi baki hai' (the story is still unfolding)!" said Derek O'Brien, Trinamool's leader in Rajya Sabha.</p>

<h2><strong>Indian government ready for discussion&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Indian Union Home Minister Amit Shah has written to the leaders of Opposition in both Houses saying that the Indian government is ready for a discussion. "They (Opposition) are not interested in co-operation, they are not interested in Dalits, nor in the welfare of women, so their sloganeering is very obvious. However, I want to say again that I have written to the leaders of Opposition in both Houses that I am ready for a detailed debate on Manipur. The government has no fear and anyone who wants to discuss is welcome," the home minister said in Lok Sabha.</p>

<p>A Bengaluru woman Pratiksha Jichkar has voiced her strong criticism on social media against a company that allegedly dumped her out in the final round of an interview saying her skin tone is a "little fair" for the current team. This incident took place in Bengaluru city in the south Indian state of Karnataka.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Without taking the name of the company, the woman lashed out at the firm's discriminatory recruitment policies which ultimately led to the rejection of her job application.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sharing the screenshot of the email received from the company, the woman dropped the saga on LinkedIn pouring out her sentiments when her application was turned down post three rounds of interviews and one assignment. “I was rejected in the final round of interviews, as my skin tone was little fair for the team,” she wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Thank you for interviewing with us and being patient throughout the process. Unfortunately, we cannot move ahead with you for the role this time. We found your profile relevant and all the skills and qualifications match what we are looking for but we are an inclusive organization and believe in equal opportunity for all. Your skin tone is little fair for the current team and so we don't want differences in our internal team, and we decided not to offer you. We wish you the best for future endeavors," the company email shared by the woman read.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>'Felt really worst'</strong></h2>

<p>Reacting over the alleged unfortunate event, the woman expressed that she was "not just stunned or shocked but felt really worst about what kind of world are we heading to."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The hiring manager wished to have no differences in the team and so I wasn’t offered the role. (how empathetic😓)," she wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>'Judging people based on colour'</strong>&nbsp;</h2>

<p>Outraged at how the company treated her and rubbished her job application, the woman said, "Here we are talking about diversity, inclusivity, sustainability and then we are judging people based on color, creed, religion and many other biases."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In the world where we are promoting skill based opportunities, boosting immense learning potential through AI, creating extraordinary technologies and then not hiring folks because we are still the same society who hold grudges and biases," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though she did not name the company, she said if "you are reading this it’s an opportunity for you to rectify your culture and be open to people with talent, skills, and potential."&nbsp;</p>

<p>A government release said, "The Convention Centre is developed as the centrepiece of the Pragati Maidan complex. It is a grand architectural marvel, designed to host large-scale international exhibitions, trade fairs, conventions, conferences, and other prestigious events. It is equipped with multiple meeting rooms, lounges, auditoriums, an amphitheatre and a business centre, making it capable of hosting a wide range of events."</p>

Israel's SC says will not block controversial judicial law passed by Knesset

<p>A Delhi court on Wednesday sentenced ex-Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Darda, his son Devender Darda, and businessman Manoj Kumar Jayaswal to four years in jail in a case related to irregularities in the allocation of a coal block in Chhattisgarh, saying the convicts obtained the block by cheating the government of India.</p>

<p>All three convicts were taken into custody immediately after the court order.</p>

<p>Special Judge Sanjay Bansal also awarded three-year jail terms to ex-coal secretary H C Gupta and two former senior public servants K S Kropha and K C Samria in the case.</p>

<p>The three convicts were, however, granted bail by the court to enable them to challenge their conviction and punishment before the high court.</p>

<p>The court imposed a fine of Rs 15 lakh each on the Dardas and Jayaswal. The other three convicts were directed to pay a fine of Rs 20,000 each.</p>

<p>The present case relates to allocation of a coal block. The convicts had obtained the said block by committing cheating with the Govt. Of India. Prosecution is justified in saying that the loss to the nation was huge,? the judge said.</p>

<p>In the 13th conviction in the coal scam, the massive scandal which rocked the erstwhile Manmohan Singh government, the court had on July 13 held the seven accused guilty under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC, and relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.</p>

<p>During the argument on the quantum of sentence, the CBI had sought the maximum punishment of seven years for the convicts, claiming that Darda and his son had met the then CBI director Ranjit Sinha at his residence to scuttle the investigation.</p>

<p>The Supreme Court had constituted an SIT to investigate the allegations against Sinha of trying to influence the probe in the coal scam cases. Sinha, a 1974 batch IPS officer of Bihar cadre, died from Covid-related complications in 2021.</p>

<p>CBI's senior public prosecutor A P Singh had claimed a witness in the case stated he was threatened by Jayaswal, who tried to influence him to not depose against him.</p>

<p>The court had on November 20, 2014 refused to accept a closure report submitted by the CBI in the case and directed the federal probe agency to investigate it afresh, stating that the former MP had "misrepresented" facts in letters written to the then prime minister, Manmohan Singh, who held the coal portfolio.</p>

<p>The court said Vijay Darda, the chairperson of the Lokmat Group, had done so to secure the Fatehpur (East) coal block in Chhattisgarh for JLD Yavatmal Energy Pvt Ltd.</p>

<p>The Lokmat Group is a multi platform media company based in Maharashtra.</p>

<p>The court said the offence of cheating was committed by private parties in furtherance of a conspiracy hatched between them and public servants.</p>

<p>JLD Yavatmal Energy Pvt Ltd was allotted Fatehpur (East) coal block by the 35th Screening Committee.</p>

<p>The CBI had alleged in its FIR that JLD Yavatmal had wrongfully concealed previous allocation of four coal blocks to its group companies in 1999-2005, but the agency later filed a closure report, saying no undue benefit was extended to JLD Yavatmal by the coal ministry in allocation of coal blocks.</p>

<p>The scandal had rocket the Manmohan Singh government in 2012 after the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) panned the government for inefficient allocation of 194 coal blocks to public sector enterprises and private companies between 2004 and 2009 for captive use in a non-transparent way.</p>

<p>The CAG said instead of allocating the valuable natural resource, the government should have gone for competitive bidding.</p>

<p>Many politicians were claimed to have lobbied for private entities and helped them secure these blocks. Several entities got more blocks for mining than they needed and sold the excess coal in the open market resulting in huge windfall.</p>

<p>The CAG initially estimated a massive loss of Rs 10.6 lakh crore to the exchequer, but its final report tabled in Parliament put the figure at 1.86 lakh crore.</p>

The sea lions can be seen roaring in low frequency capturing the attention of the beachgoers, some of whom were seen stepping back while others were seen clicking pictures of these aquatic creatures.</p>

<p>Walking on all fours, some of the sea lions could be seen running fast toward&nbsp;the tourists while others play along with others of their kind. The visuals of the whole incident at the beach also captured the sea lions taking dives in the water by making a perfect curve with their big bellies.</p>

<p>Lifeguards who were present at the beach at that time cautioned the people to stay away from the sea lions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Everybody, let's please give that large, male sea lion plenty of room,” a San Diego lifeguard can be heard saying over the public address system in the video.&nbsp;“They have bitten people, and they are protected animals," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the animals charged toward the shore, tourists scattered in all directions and started running away.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We demand a statement to be made by the prime minister in the House on the burning and emotive issue of Manipur which is adversely affecting the Indian democratic polity followed by a detailed and comprehensive discussion," Kharge said in his notice while pointing out that violence continues even after two months in the northeastern state.</p>

<p>After reports of a 34-year-old married Indian woman and a mother of two, named Anju getting married to her 29 years old Pakistani Facebook friend Nasrullah, the duo denied the claims reports India Today media portal.</p>

<p>The denial of the came after Pakistani police confirmed that both tied the knot in a local court of a district and sessions judge after Anju converted to Islam. Notably, Anju travelled to Pakistan legally on a valid visa.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking with India Today,&nbsp;Nasrullah denied the marriage reports and said, "No, these are all false rumours being spread. Our marriage did not take place."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We appeared before the court because we were in danger and went before the court to request security. The government has also provided us with the security of 50 police officers because Anju is a foreigner," he said adding, "Anju is a foreign national in Pakistan. Her life is in danger. She could be attacked at any time. There are different kinds of people here. We want to protect her, which is why we appeared before the court."</p>

<p>He refuted the authenticity of the marriage certificate and said these are false rumours being spread. "Anju is my best friend," he said of his relationship with the Indian woman.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Over the reports of Anju converting to Islam,&nbsp;Nasrullah said, "Wearing a burqa is the tradition here. We made Anju wear it so that no one could recognise her."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"She still practices the religion she did," he said adding, "She is my best friend. She came on a tourist visa. She wanted to see Pakistan."&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked if he will marry Anju after her divorce, the Pakistani man said, "That's her decision. If she says so, then I will. But for now, she is going back to India."</p>

<p>Speaking in the same vein, Anju said, "Claims of Nasrullah and I getting married are false. There is a process through which I will come back to India, which is why I went there."</p>

<p>"Rumours are made up, but we did not get married," she said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per earlier reports by the PTI news agency, the marriage of Anju and Nasrullah was solemnised in the presence of his family members, police personnel, and lawyers at the district court in Dir Bala in Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.</p>

<p>Malakand Division Deputy Inspector General Nasir Mehmood Satti&nbsp;confirmed the Nikah of Anju and Nasrullah, stating that Anju has been given the name Fatima following her conversion to Islam. After the wedding, Anju was provided police security as she was shifted to Nasrullah's home, according to previous reports.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"She traveled to Pakistan on a month-long visit visa and all her travel documents are valid and complete," Upper Dir District Police Officer (DPO) Mushtaq Khan said on Monday adding, "Anju has come to Pakistan from New Delhi for the sake of love and is living happily here."&nbsp;</p>

She could be attacked at any time. There are different kinds of people here. We want to protect her, which is why we appeared before the court." He refuted the authenticity of the marriage certificate and said these are false rumours being spread. "Anju is my best friend," he said of his relationship with the Indian woman. Over the reports of Anju converting to Islam, Nasrullah said, "Wearing a burqa is the tradition here. We made Anju wear it so that no one could recognise her." "She still practices the religion she did," he said adding, "She is my best friend. She came on a tourist visa. She wanted to see Pakistan." When asked if he will marry Anju after her divorce, the Pakistani man said, "That's her decision. If she says so, then I will. But for now, she is going back to India." Speaking in the same vein, Anju said, "Claims of Nasrullah and I getting married are false. There is a process through which I will come back to India, which is why I went there." "Rumours are made up, but we did not get married," she said. As per earlier reports by the PTI news agency, the marriage of Anju and Nasrullah was solemnised in the presence of his family members, police personnel, and lawyers at the district court in Dir Bala in Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Malakand Division Deputy Inspector General Nasir Mehmood Satti confirmed the Nikah of Anju and Nasrullah, stating that Anju has been given the name Fatima following her conversion to Islam. After the wedding, Anju was provided police security as she was shifted to Nasrullah's home, according to previous reports. "She traveled to Pakistan on a month-long visit visa and all her travel documents are valid and complete," Upper Dir District Police Officer (DPO) Mushtaq Khan said on Monday adding, "Anju has come to Pakistan from New Delhi for the sake of love and is living happily here."
