<p>There has been a rise in attacks on the US as well as its coalition troops in Iraq and Syria. They were attacked as many as 19 times in Iraq and Syria by Iran-backed forces last week, reported Reuters.&nbsp;The attacks inflicted minor injuries on 21 US forces, including the majority who suffered traumatic brain injuries.</p>

Washington hits Iran-backed militant facilities in Syria in retaliation for strikes on US bases in Middle East

<p>A day after Joe Biden said that he believed progress by the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) triggered Hamas' attack on Israel, White House officials said that the US President was "misunderstood".</p>

'You misunderstood': White House officials clarify Biden's statement linking IMEC to Hamas onslaught

<p>An Israeli diplomat in Miami on Thursday pushed back against an assertion by the administration of Ron DeSantis that the Florida governor had coordinated with his office to facilitate the shipment of ammunition and weapons to Israel.</p>

<p>Earlier on Thursday, a DeSantis spokesperson said the governor's office had contracted cargo planes to send drones, body armor, and helmets to Israel and worked to "get weapons and ammunition to Israel through private parties."</p>

<p>There were few details disclosed about the shipments, including where the materials originated, and which third parties Florida worked with.</p>

<p>"At the request of the Israeli Consul General in Miami, cargo planes contracted by Florida were used to transport healthcare and hospital supplies, drones, body armor, and helmets that first responders can use," Jeremy Redfern, the press secretary for DeSantis' gubernatorial office, wrote in a statement to Reuters.</p>

<p>In an interview with Reuters, however, Maor Elbaz-Starinsky, the Israeli consul general in Miami, said his office did not work with the governor to send any weapons or ammunition to Israel through private parties, though he had once been in contact with the governor's office about a plane that was carrying rifle parts.</p>

<p>"This is not how I would describe it," he said of the statement released by the governor's office.</p>

<p>Elbaz-Starinsky said DeSantis' office had contacted various Israeli government institutions, and that DeSantis had facilitated a shipment of medical supplies, which had been requested by the Israeli health ministry.</p>

<p>He said that earlier in the month, there was a flight that included some "rifle inserts" that had been ordered by Israeli authorities, scheduled to leave Miami, and that he had contacted various "stakeholders" including members of Congress and the governor's office to make sure it would be able to depart. He said he was not sure what influence, if any, the governor's office had on the flight's departure.</p>

<p>"I am not aware and would find it very, very bizarre to think that somebody is procuring weapons and sending it to Israel," Elbaz-Starinsky said. "This is not how we work. And certainly not privately funded."</p>

<p>Asked to clarify, Redfern said the governor's office "was contacted by the Consul General's office for assistance to clear federal bureaucratic hurdles associated with getting those items to Israel."</p>

<p>While it is legal for a U.S. state to send aid to a foreign government, exporters of ammunition and other types of military equipment, including many types of body armor, generally must navigate U.S. export license requirements.</p>

<p>The DeSantis administration did not respond to requests for comment regarding the details of its shipments to Israel.</p>

<p>"There are laws and regulations which govern how the export process is handled. And that's all done through (the Commerce Department.) I couldn't speak with authority today about whether the governor has checked all those boxes or not," White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said on Thursday.</p>

<p>The woman made up a story of her house being demolished and her legal requirement to stay single in order to receive government compensation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But at the same time, she made an offer to the men saying that a wedding ceremony would be okay. She made the proposal so that she could collect the gifts and money.</p>

<p>With a slew of hired actors by her side as relatives and friends, she could cast a perfect picture of her 'real' life.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She often lied to others about traveling for training with a firm when in reality she hung out with the other men, making a fool out of all of them.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Zhang Xueting, an assistant prosecutor at the Nanjing Lishui People’s Procuratorate, reportedly told a TV channel that Zhou was “good-looking and good at pretending”.</p>

<p>Upon this one staff member replied, “No, they will usually run when they see people coming." The staff member said Dahuang enjoys being around people.</p>

<p>When the woman asked what if the visitors complained about the presence of felines, the staff member responded, “Not at all. What is there to complain about? Haha."&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per reports, this service was started a couple of years ago and since then no complaints have been raised.&nbsp;“As long as guests don’t go near the animals, they will be fine,” the member of staff explained.</p>

<p>This kind gesture by the hotel has since captured the attention of animal lovers online and received a lot of admiration. “Big love,” said one while another asked the name of the hotel saying, "Next time I will definitely choose this one."&nbsp;</p>

This 5-star luxury hotel in China provides bed and breakfast service for homeless cats

<p>Over a year after a Chinese ship docked at Sri Lanka port, another one dubbed a "geophysical scientific research vessel Shi Yan 6", arrived in the South Asian country on Wednesday (Oct 26), media reports said adding that the ship will remain there till October 28. The so-called scientific vessel, often labeled as a "dual-use spy ship," reportedly docked at the Colombo port amid concerns flagged by Indian and US authorities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Indian foreign minister S Jaishankar earlier expressed concerns over China's growing naval presence in the Indian Ocean.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In September, Jaishankar at an event said, "Last 20 -25 years, there has been a steady increase in the Chinese naval presence and activity in the Indian Ocean, but there has been a very sharp increase in the size of Chinese naval. When you have a very much bigger navy, that navy is going to be visible in terms of its deployment somewhere.”</p>

<h2><strong>Palestine can't vote&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Palestine, being just a non-member observer at the UN General Assembly and not recognised in the UN Charter, will not be able to cast its vote.&nbsp;Meanwhile, each of the 193 members of UNGA will get the opportunity to vote on Gaza which is being pounded relentlessly by Israeli airstrikes.&nbsp;</p>
