<p>A spokesperson for Netanyahu said that toddlers and babies were found in Kfar Aza, a 'kibbutz' or farming community&nbsp;in southern Israel, with their "heads decapitated" after Hamas' attack over the weekend.</p>

<p>Initially, US President Joe Biden claimed to have seen evidence of the baby massacre, but a White House spokesperson later told the Washington Post that the US officials and Biden had not seen pictures or confirmed such reports independently.</p>

<p>Biden reportedly&nbsp;based his comments about the alleged atrocities on the claims from Netanyahu's spokesman and media reports from Israel, according to the White House.</p>

<p>More than 150 people are believed to have been kept as hostages in Gaza comprising&nbsp;soldiers, men, women, children, and older adults.</p>

<p>Israel has ramped up attacks against Gaza in recent days, with several top ministers announcing an invasion in the coming days.</p>

<p>A coalition of ruling Israeli parties led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to form an emergency government in alliance with the opposition leaders in the wake of the Hamas terror attack.</p>

<p>Among the opposition leaders who have agreed in principle to join the unit government are former prime minister Yair Lapid and former defence minister Benny Gantz.</p>

<p>"An emergency unity government now!" Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who represents a hard right party close to the West Bank Jewish settler movement, posted on social media.</p>

<p>A spokesperson for Gantz's National Unity party said she was optimistic there would be "good news" but did not elaborate on the terms, Reuters news agency reported.</p>

<h2><strong>Narrow and professional govt</strong></h2>

<p>Reuters quoting a source close to Lapid Party reported that the role of the emergency government would be "narrow and professional."</p>

<p>The development comes days after opposition leader Lapid in a statement on Saturday, just hours after the Hamas attack, said that he informed PM Netanyahu about his willingness to establish “a professional, limited emergency government, which will manage the difficult, complex and protracted campaign before us."</p>

<p>The agreement by political parties that are normally deeply hostile to one another underlines the scale of the crisis that has unfolded following the thousands of killings by Hamas gunmen over the weekend and the capture of more than 100 others.</p>

<h2><strong>Israel identifies hostages </strong></h2>

<p>According to reports, Israel has identified most of the hostages abducted by Hamas and has started informing their families.</p>

<p>Around 100 families were notified on Tuesday, with the officers from the Israel Defence Forces merely confirming what they already knew from recognising relatives&nbsp;in harrowing footage of people. The videos were filmed by Hamas and shared on social media and through WhatsApp groups, the Times of Israel newspaper reported citing Israeli Army Radio.</p>

<p>Wife of Yousaf Nadia El-Nakla, who is a Palestinian, told BBC on Wednesday (Oct 11) that her parents are "terrified" about what might happen next, adding that some relatives have had their homes destroyed in missile strikes.</p>

<p>Elizabeth El-Nakla and Maged El-Nakla travelled to Gaza last week before Hamas launched an all-front attack, killing hundreds of civilians in Israel.</p>

<p>The couple are now trapped in the besieged region along with Maged’s sick 93-year-old mother, their son, his wife and their four grandchildren — including a two-month-old baby.</p>

<h2><strong>No electricity, no water</strong></h2>

<p>In a video clip shared with the the BBC, Elizabeth narrated how their family is finding it hard to survive in the besieged Gaza, which is facing a barrage of Israeli missile strikes.</p>

<p>&nbsp;“I am currently in Deir al-Balah with my husband’s family, my family, my grandchildren,” Elizabeth said in a tearful video.</p>

<p>&nbsp;“We have no electricity. We have no water. The food we do have, which is little, will not last because there is no electricity and it will spoil.”</p>

<p>“I have four grandchildren in this home: a two-month-old baby, a four-year-old and, today, two nine-year-old twins. [It’s] their birthday. I ask the world to help the Palestinians.”</p>

<p>A couple in Colorado has claimed to have encountered the mythical Bigfoot while wandering across San Juan National Forest, which borders New Mexico and Utah.</p>

<p>The couple— Shannon and Stetson Parker—took photos and a video of the beast and shared it on their Facebook account on October 8.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The video has since gone viral on the social media platform, with many netizens expressing amazement and scepticism.</p>

<p>In their post, Shannon said that they sighted an unspecified creature which they claimed resembled the big creature.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They were celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary and were on a sightseeing tour on the narrow gauge rail line between Durango and Silverton, in the Centennial State's far southwest.</p>

<p>“On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Stetson Tyler and I took the Narrow Gauge train ride from Durango to Silverton. After leaving Silverton and heading back to Durango, I asked Stetson to help me look for elk in the mountains. As we are passing by the mountains, Stetson sees something moving and then says I think it's Bigfoot.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Brandon, the guy sitting next to Stetson on the train grabs his phone and starts recording. Meanwhile, I am trying to get a photo on my camera. <p>“We were looking for elk in the mountains and my husband sees something moving and then can't explain it. So, he's like 'Bigfoot!'" Shannon, a 44-year-old contractor from Cheyenne, Wyoming. told the New York Post.</p>

<p>"It was at least six, seven feet or taller. It matched the sage in the mountains so much that he's like camouflaged when crouching down...if you asked before our trip we would have said maybe [Bigfoot] could be real, but now we're convinced."</p>

<p>On Monday morning (Oct 9), Dorothy Hoffner was found dead by staff at Brookdale Lake View—a senior living community.</p>

<p>Hoffner had apparently died in her sleep on Sunday night, her close friend Joe Conant told AP news agency on Tuesday (Oct 10).</p>

<p>"She was indefatigable. She just kept going," he said, adding, "she was not someone who would take naps in the afternoon, or not show up for any function, dinner or anything else. She was always there, fully present. She kept going, always."</p>

<p>On October 1, Hoffner jumped off from a plane from 13,500 feet at Skydive Chicago in Ottawa, Illinois, 85 miles southwest of Chicago.</p>

<p>A US Navy soldier has&nbsp;admitted that he took $15,000 as a bribe in exchange for providing photos of unclassified US military information to China, including on US military exercises in Indo-Pacific.</p>

<p>Pleading guilty to conspiracy and receiving a bribe, 26-year-old Petty Officer Wenheng "Thomas" Zhao said he was in contact with a Chinese intelligence officer who had coaxed him into providing sensitive information.</p>

<p>“Officer Zhao betrayed his country and the men and women of the US Navy by accepting bribes from a foreign adversary,”&nbsp;US Attorney Martin Estrada said on Tuesday (Oct 11) in a press release.</p>

<p>“While he and the PRC officer he served took great pains to conceal their corrupt scheme, investigators were vigilant in uncovering this shameful plot.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Today’s resolution, requiring Zhao to plead guilty to all charges against him, shows that we will act swiftly and decisively to protect our nation from those who seek to undermine our security.”</p>

<h2><strong>Information contained US military exercises in Indo-Pacific&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>In his plea at a federal court in Los Angeles, California-based Zhao admitted to passing off plans for US military exercises in the Indo-Pacific region, operational orders and electrical diagrams and blueprints for a radar system on a US military base in Okinawa, Japan.</p>

<p>Zhao, who worked at Naval Base Ventura County in California, faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.&nbsp;A judge is expected to determine his final sentence.</p>

<p>“The intelligence services of the People’s Republic of China actively target clearance holders across the military, seeking to entice them with money to provide sensitive government information,” Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew G Olsen said.</p>

<p>“When contacted by his co-conspirator, rather than reporting it to the Navy, the Defendant chose greed over protecting the national security of the United States.”</p>

<p>Times of India (TOI) newspaper on Wednesday (Oct 11) reported citing Indian security agency sources that they have intensified their surveillance efforts in order to prevent a repeat of what happened in 2021 when cryptocurrencies of a Delhi-based individual were stolen by Hamas.</p>

<p>The case in New Delhi was the first instance of Hamas' activity in India.</p>

<p>In late 2021, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell was probing a cryptocurrency theft worth 40 million rupees ($4,80, 900 approx.) siphoned off from the wallet of a West Delhi businessman.</p>

<p>In the complaint, the businessman claimed that some unknown thieves transferred his Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin cash from his crypto wallet.</p>

<h2><strong>Findings of Delhi Police's probe</strong></h2>

<p>Though they were able to trace a few recipient wallet IDs, they were unable to zero in on the user’s identity.</p>

<p>At the same time, Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, communicated—as part of routine intelligence exchange with their Indian counterparts—to Indian intel officers about some suspect wallets operated by terrorist groups for&nbsp;funding.</p>

<p>Many of these online wallets were being used by the al Qassam brigades of Hamas, the Palestinian terror group.</p>

<p>A breakthrough arrived when the Special Cell's Intelligence Fusion &amp; Strategic Ops (IFSO) unit ran a match on the wallets. It found that several wallets that had received the Bitcoin and Ethereum assets from Delhi were operated by the cyber wing of Hamas.</p>

<p>After finding a link, the Special Cell officers communicated the findings of their probe to the relevant authorities.</p>

<h2><strong>Officials on alert&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Speaking to TOI paper on Tuesday, former DCP (Special Cell) KPS Malhotra, whose team investigated the case, said, "Yes, our investigation had led us to several wallets linked to the al Qassam brigades."</p>

<p>Bayder said that a militant took her grandmother's phone, filmed the whole act, and then uploaded the clip to her social media account.</p>
