While the netizens, including Elon Musk, had a field day by sharing memes on social media over the whole situation, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella welcomed Altman’s decision to return to the company he co-founded.

“Sam, Greg, and I have talked and agreed they have a key role to play along with the OAI leadership team in ensuring OAI continues to thrive and build on its mission," Nadella posted minutes after Altman announced his decision on X, on Wednesday.

“We look forward to building on our strong partnership and delivering the value of this next generation of AI to our customers and partners,” Satya Nadella’s post added.

Late Tuesday, the ChatGPT maker announced in a statement that Altman will be returning to the company with a new board.

“We have reached an agreement in principle for Sam Altman to return to OpenAI as CEO with a new initial board.”

The board, which replaced the one that fired Altman on Friday, will be led by former Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor, who also chaired Twitter’s board before its takeover by Elon Musk last year.

The other members will be former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo.

Soon after the announcement, Altman shared his thoughts on microblogging site X.

“At the same time, family history of sudden death, hospitalisation for COVID-19 and lifestyle behaviours such as recent binge drinking and vigorous-intensity physical activity were risk factors for unexplained sudden death.”

ICMR researchers identified 29,171 sudden deaths and scrutinised the records of 729 of the cases as well as 2,916 “control” subjects as part of their investigation, the group said.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) conducted a study following what it called “anecdotal reports about sudden unexplained deaths among apparently healthy adults” aged 18 to 45 between October 2021 and March 2023. “We found no evidence of a positive association of COVID-19 vaccination with unexplained sudden death among young adults,” the research group said in a study published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research. “At the same time, family history of sudden death, hospitalisation for COVID-19 and lifestyle behaviours such as recent binge drinking and vigorous-intensity physical activity were risk factors for unexplained sudden death.” ICMR researchers identified 29,171 sudden deaths and scrutinised the records of 729 of the cases as well as 2,916 “control” subjects as part of their investigation, the group said. Government data shows India recorded 45 million Covid infections and 533,295 related deaths but experts say the actual numbers are several times higher. Many Indian hospitals ran out of beds during the peak of the Covid crisis and many people died at home.

“Why doesn’t the Punjab government make the process of crop residue 100% free? To burn it, all the farmer needs to do is light a matchstick. Machine for the management of crop residue to farmers is not everything. Even if the machine is given for free, there is diesel cost, manpower, etc,” the Supreme Court said, asking why Punjab cannot fund diesel, manpower, etc., and utilise the byproduct, according to PTI news agency.

“The state of Punjab should also take a cue from the state of Haryana in the manner in which financial incentives are given,” the apex court added.

When the Punjab government, during the hearing, told the court that it is taking steps to control crop residue burning, senior advocate Aparajita Singh, who is assisting the court as an amicus curiae in the pollution matter, flagged that more than 700 farm fire incidents were reported in the state on Monday.

"What are they (authorities) doing?" Singh told the bench.

Justice Dhulia observed, "The only person who can answer this is the farmers. He can tell you why he is doing it. He is not here. The farmer is being made a villain and the villain has not been heard. He (farmer) must be having some reasons."

<h2>Alternative ways of disposing stubble&nbsp;</h2>

The court also asked Attorney General R Venkatramani to explore “how you can discourage paddy and encourage alternate crops”.

“We put to the advocate general as to why the state cannot fund even this aspect and utilise the byproduct…,” the apex court said.

“We say so because there are farmers operating on different economic scales where they are able to gain profit even by the byproduct by use of these machines”.

On Sunday, he decided to take leave to watch the final match. However, he could not overcome his emotions after India’s loss, and decided to end his life in his room, his brother-in-law Uttam Sur claimed, according to PTI news agency. However, it is unknown whether he died by hanging or by consuming poison.&nbsp;

“Otherwise, there were no such problems in his life,” Sur&nbsp;added.

Researchers have finally figured out why red wine, despite being one of the most consumed alcoholic beverages, induces headaches for some, even if they are fine drinking other alcohol.

And there have been cases where some even experience flushes and feel nausea even after consuming it in small amounts.

According to University of California researchers, who published their study in Scientific Reports, this happens because of a chemical compound present in red grapes that affects how the body metabolises alcohol in wine.

This compound is called quercetin, which is naturally found in fruits and vegetables, including grapes.

<h2>Occurs due to&nbsp;quercetin</h2>

"We think we are finally on the right track toward explaining this millennia-old mystery," co-author Morris Levin, professor of neurology and director of the Headache Center at the University of California, San Francisco, said in a statement.

"Quercetin is produced by the grapes in response to sunlight," wine chemist and co-author Andrew Waterhouse, professor emeritus with the UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology, said in a statement.

"If you grow grapes with the clusters exposed, such as they do in the Napa Valley for their cabernets, you get much higher levels of quercetin. In some cases, it can be four to five times higher."

Quercetin is generally believed to be a healthy antioxidant and is sold as a supplement in the market. However, when mixed with alcohol, it can produce certain reactions that our body can’t handle.

"When it gets in your bloodstream, your body converts it to a different form called quercetin glucuronide," Waterhouse said. "In that form, it blocks the metabolism of alcohol."

Generally, there is a two-step process for how the body metabolises alcohol. The first converts alcohol in the form of ethanol to acetaldehyde. The second turns acetaldehyde into acetate, which is used to produce energy, carbon dioxide and water.

However, in the presence of quercetin glucuronide, this second step is disrupted, resulting in a buildup of acetaldehyde.

"Acetaldehyde is a well-known toxin, irritant and inflammatory substance," lead author Apramita Devi, a postdoctoral researcher with the UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology, said.

"Researchers know that high levels of acetaldehyde can cause facial flushing, headache and nausea."
