The EC informed the state chief electoral officer about its decision to withdraw its permission.

The action follows the public announcement made by Rao on the release of disbursements of rabi crops. &nbsp;

"The disbursement will be made on Monday. Even before the farmers complete their breakfast and tea, the amount will be credited into their account,” the minister had said.

EC warns Telangana govt to stop farmers’ aid citing violation of poll code

Gujarat’s agricultural minister Raghavji Patel on Monday (Nov 27) said that they are assessing the damage caused by unseasonal rains and added that&nbsp;compensation would be provided once the survey to assess the damage to crops is out.

Suksuk is a decorated soldier and won a silver medal in swimming at the Asean Para Games in Indonesia last year.

He was also believed to be on the list of athletes competing in the World Abilitysport Games in Thailand next month.

Suksuk lost his right leg while on duty with the paramilitary light infantry force, which patrols Thailand's borders.

Jung Yoo-jung, 23, who is a loner and lives with her grandfather, has been looking for targets for months using a tutoring app. She wanted to try out murder after reading it about in novels and watching a lot of crime mystery shows.

In May, she tried the app and set up a meeting with an English-language tutor. She posed as a mother of a high school kid and met the 26-year-old woman in Busan.

According to police, she mainly preferred females and went over 50 potential victims asking for lessons at home,&nbsp;before finalising on the 26-year-old.

On that fateful day, Yoo-jung landed up at the tutor’s home dressed in a school uniform in Busan. She then stabbed the victim over 100 times, continuing even after she was already dead.

She then mutilated the victim’s body, packed parts of it into a suitcase, and changed into the victim’s clothes, Korea JoongAng Daily, the English edition of a major South Korean newspaper, reported citing the police.

She then took a taxi and dumped it in a wooded area by a river, leaving other parts of the body in her own home.

A taxi driver, who drove her to the area where she dumped the body, later tipped off the police after spotting blood stains on her clothes.

During the investigation, police searched Jung's online browsing history which showed she had researched for months on how to kill somebody.

The tabloid, quoting an unnamed official, reported that both US and Germany, two primary military donors to Ukraine, intend to supply just an “appropriate amount” of weapons so that Ukraine can maintain its lead and have sufficient room for peace negotiation, but just not enough to reclaim its land.

The German federal government has now set itself the main goal of putting Ukraine in a “strategically good negotiating position,” BILD said.

Berlin and Washington expect that if Kyiv and Moscow refuse to hold formal negotiations, the issue will remain frozen, and there will be no official accord.

An Israeli billionaire-owned container ship was attacked in the Indian Ocean by drones suspected to have been launched by Iran.

On Friday, CMA CGM’s ship Symi came under the attack of a triangle-shaped, bomb-carrying Shahed-136 drone while in international waters, an American defence official told AP news agency.

Though the vessel suffered damages, there were no injuries to the crew.

“We continue to monitor the situation closely,” the official was quoted as saying.

The news was later confirmed by Al-Mayadeen, a pan-Arab satellite channel that is politically allied with the Iranian-backed Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.

According to The Times of Israel, the damage caused to the ship was minimal.

It reported that the ship had no ties with Israel as Symi is leased to CMA CGM by Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping, which is a company ultimately controlled by Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer.

“The attack is likely to have been targeted, due to the vessel’s Israeli affiliation through Eastern Pacific Shipping,” the private intelligence firm Ambrey told the AP.

“The vessel’s AIS transmissions were off days prior to the event, indicating this alone does not prevent an attack.”

A statement issued on behalf of Eastern Pacific acknowledged the company being "aware of claims that a container ship under the company's management was targeted in a possible security incident overnight on Friday."

"The vessel in question is currently sailing as planned," the statement said. "All crew are safe and well."

India on Sunday (Nov 26) marked the 15th year anniversary of the gruesome, large-scale terror attack (26/11) perpetrated by Pakistan-based terrorists in the financial capital Mumbai city.

A separate division within the navy was formed called Sagar Prahari Bal (SPB) and the government inducted fast interceptor crafts (FIC) for patrol and rescue operations in India's Exclusive Economic Zone.

Till November 2021, more than 300 coastal security exercises were conducted with state authorities by the Indian Coast Guard since the 26/11 attack.

Furthermore, all the vessels which are longer than 20 metres and heavier than 300 gross tonnages were mandated to have an Automatic Identification System (AIS) which transmits its identification and other information.

Moreover, Sea Vigil, an extensive coastal defence exercise conceptualised in 2018, has been carried out yearly since 2019 by the Indian Navy in coordination with the Indian Coast Guard and agencies involved in the tasks of maritime activities.

In the aftermath of the 26/11 attacks, the Indian government created the National Investigation Agency (NIA), a premier agency mandated to investigate and prosecute terrorism-related cases affecting the sovereignty, security and integrity of the country.

India’s counter-terrorism capabilities have also now improved by leaps and bounds. National Security Guard (NSG) hubs have been set up in different states in order to ensure a rapid response to terror attacks.

Moreover, India strengthened the Intelligence Bureau’s (IB’s) Multi Agency Centre (MAC), whose primary job is to coordinate the exchange of intelligence between central agencies, the armed forces, and the state police.

Sub-units of MACs that had gone defunct were reinstated, and regular meetings were made mandatory for real-time exchange of information and analysis.

India’s intelligence-sharing with premier Western agencies like the FBI and MI6 has improved since 2008.

The US made a pivotal role in the arrest of David Coleman Headley, the man who conducted the reconnaissance for the 26/11 attacks, and provided crucial information on the way the conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan with active involvement of the ISI.

Now India can expect timely actionable intelligence well before a dastardly terror attack.

Better cooperation and understanding from several countries resulted in stemming the flow of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism as the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) placed Pakistan in grey list, forcing the country to take action against the terror infrastructure of the LeT and Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM).
