<p>Virat Kohli surprised many when he won the toss and opted to bat first during the third Test against England. Several cricketing experts questioned Virat's decision.</p>

<p>However, the decision turned out to be a poor one as Team India was bundled out for 78 runs, making it the third-lowest total against England.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq believes India should have opted to bowl after winning the toss.</p>

<p>“(England are) a team that you had defeated some days before. In the fourth innings, on a dry pitch, you made them absolutely flat. You destroyed their batting. If you have won the toss here, put them into bat again," Inzamam said in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel 'The Match Winner'.</p>

<p>“With the advantage of two hours (of moisture), I won’t say that England would have been all out for 78, but they wouldn’t have scored big," he added.</p>

<p>“The Indian batters never put any pressure (on the bowlers). As a cricketer, whatever the nature of the pitch is, whether there is swing or spin, if you have played 25-30 balls, your eyes, your eye coordination, your hand coordination, all these get accustomed to the pitch.</p>

<p>"You have to take some chances after that. Like Rohit Sharma, he played 105 balls. You can’t say that you are not set after playing 105 balls. You have to take responsibility and you have to play your strokes.</p>

<p>“Virat Kohli too played 31 balls. But what did he do? He made 7 runs, and he was completely tied up," he signed off.</p>

<p>In the post-day press conference following the first day's play, Pant was asked why Kohli looked upset at what the crowd was saying. "I think, somebody threw a ball inside, at Siraj, so he [Kohli] was upset," Pant said. "You can say whatever you want to chant, but don't throw things at the fielders and all those things. It is not good for cricket, I guess."</p>

<p>However, it is not clear what kind of ball was thrown at Siraj and it is not sure if it was deliberate or not. Team India also have not filed an official complaint.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is not the first time in this series where such incidents involving the crowd took place. In the second Test, Indian opener KL Rahul was seen throwing back a champagne cork that was hurled at him by a section of the crowd.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Shakhtar Donetsk clinched a berth in the lucrative Champions League group stage with a dramatic 3-2 aggregate win over Monaco after fighting back from two goals down in their playoff round return leg on Wednesday.<br />
<br />
The Ukrainian side joined RB Salzburg as the Austrian champions beat Danes Brondby 4-2 on aggregate, and Sheriff Tiraspol, who became the first Moldovan side to reach the group stage with a 3-0 overall victory against Dinamo Zagreb.<br />
<br />
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg at home, Monaco turned the tide as a Wissam Ben Yedder brace gave them a 2-0 lead on the night in Kharkiv before second-half substitute Marlos levelled the tie with a 74th-minute strike.<br />
<br />
With the away goals rule no longer in effect in European club competition as of this season, Shakhtar forced the final twist thanks to a 114th-minute own goal from Monaco captain Ruben Aguilar after the French side missed a string of chances.<br />
<br />
Ben Yedder fired a dominant Monaco into an 18th-minute lead on the night and put the visitors in the driving seat in the 39th when he steered home a superb low cross from the left by Caio Henrique.<br />
<br />
Ben Yedder then missed a pair of sitters either side of halftime and Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov denied Kevin Volland with a superb stoppage-time save after Marlos had given Shakhtar a lifeline with a neat finish inside the near post.<br />
<br />
Shakhtar were on the back foot in extra time too but Monaco were ultimately punished for their misses when Aguilar stuck his foot out to block a pass and the looping clearance sailed over goalkeeper Alexander Nuebel into the back of the net.<br />
<br />
Salzburg raced into a 2-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes of the return leg against Brondby as Benjamin Sesko struck with a clinical finish and Brenden Aaronson added the second when he slid the ball under goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.<br />

Brondby defender Andreas Maxsoe pulled one back for the home side from close range in the 62nd minute but it was scant consolation for the Danish side as Salzburg held out comfortably.<br />

New signing Wayne Hennessey saved two penalties before Charlie Taylor scored the winner. Aubameyang, returning to the starting line-up after testing positive for COVID-19 before the season got under way, tapped into an empty net in the 17th minute after Bukayo Saka`s saved effort fell to him. He made it 2-0 on the stroke of halftime, when Nicolas Pepe`s shot rebounded off the post for another tap-in, and then repaid the favour seconds later. The hat-trick was sealed in the 62nd, Saka having bagged the fourth goal of the game in the 50th, with a strike from 18 yards. "This hopefully can give us something to build our confidence for the next games. We had to work hard and keep pushing," said the Gabonese, whose side lost both their opening league matches 2-0. Manager Mikel Arteta was delighted with the performance and the clean sheet, highlighting also the team spirit. "We are all disappointed that we haven`t won any of the two games in the Premier League but the attitude of the players and how together they are," the Spaniard said when asked what had pleased him most. Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench for his season`s debut and made it 6-0 four minutes later, assisted by Pepe, as Arsenal celebrated their first win of the season against opponents who were effectively a reserve team. West Brom, relegated from the Premier League last season, made 11 changes from the side that won at the weekend in the Championship and had five players -- including goalkeeper Alex Palmer -- making their debuts. Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was also debuting following his move from Sheffield United. ELYOUNOUSSI HAT-TRICK Loanee Armando Broja scored in each half on his debut for Southampton and Mohamed Elyounoussi grabbed a second half hat-trick as Newport were hammered in their first home game of the season after having their pitch re-laid. Nathan Tella (25th), Kyle Walker-Peters (44th) and Nathan Redmond (69th) also scored with Saints running riot in the second half after going in 3-0 at the break. Holders Manchester City will start their bid for a fifth successive League Cup trophy with a third round home game against third tier Wycombe Wanderers after the draw was made following Wednesday`s games. Manchester United will host West Ham United, managed by their former boss David Moyes, at Old Trafford while Chelsea host Aston Villa. Arsenal were rewarded with a home game against third tier AFC Wimbledon, while Southampton travel next to Sheffield United. Norwich City, who beat Bournemouth 6-0 on Tuesday, will host Liverpool -- who won 3-0 at Carrow Road in their opening game of the Premier League season. Wolverhampton Wanderers host Tottenham Hotspur in a match that pits new Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo against his old employers.
