<p>Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in London to meet his older brother and former PM Nawaz Sharif to discuss the appointment of the next army chief of the country.&nbsp;Defence minister Asif Khawaja, travelling with the premier, confirmed the 'army chief's appointment' figured in the discussion that the two brothers had during the meeting.</p>

<p>“There are speculations (in the media) that the appointment of army chief has been decided during Nawaz-Shehbaz meeting. In this regard, there was discussion (between them) but the decision will be made after consultation and once the constitutional process starts," tweeted Khawaja.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As reported by WION, Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa is in the last essay of his stint as the army head. He is expected to retire later this month after a six-year tenure and Sharif is yet to name his successor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The appointment of the army chief in Pakistan is a big deal as the army rules the coup-prone country from behind the curtains.</p>

<p>Earlier, PM Sharif informed the media that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had contacted him&nbsp;a month ago and offered him the name of three candidates who could be nominated for the post of army chief.</p>

<p>"Imran Khan suggested that we give him three names and he gives three names for the post of army chief and then we decide on the appointment of the new chief from those six names," said Sharif.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"If there is a common name in both the lists, then we will agree. I flatly refused Imran Khan's offer by saying 'thank you'," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Buckling under heavy pressure, Conservative leader&nbsp;Sir Gavin Williamson on Tuesday resigned as a government minister, a little more than a fortnight after&nbsp;his appointment into the Rishi Sunak cabinet.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"On one occasion, we had an MP who'd got a few financial problems, some financial help was given. It wasn't a great amount, but I do remember him asking me to give the MP in question the cheque," said&nbsp;Milton.</p>

<p>"And he waved it under my nose and said: 'Make sure when you give him this cheque he knows that I now own him'."</p>

<p>The trend of climate activists vandalising prized world art pieces refuses to die down. Reportedly, climate protesters glued themselves to an Andy Warhol painting at the National Art Gallery of Australia in the capital city of Canberra on Wednesday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The protesters, two females, belonged to a group called 'Stop Fossil Fuel Subsidies Australia' and targetted Warhol's famous "Campbell's Soup I" on display at the gallery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They used an adhesive to stick themselves to the painting and burst into a monologue about the symbolism of their act.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Andy Warhol depicted consumerism gone mad in this iconic series,” said one of the protesters before adding, “And now we have capitalism gone mad. Families are having to choose between medicine and food for their children while fossil fuel companies return record profits.”</p>

<p>The vandalism by the duo follows in the footsteps of similar episodes carried by supposed 'climate change activists' across Europe and outside. The modus operandi is the same in most cases.</p>

<p>The activists pick a famous art piece and either vandalise it or glue themselves to it while bursting into a monologue and taping it to be uploaded on social media.</p>

<p>The vandalism by the two protesters in Canberra comes a week after two activists of a climate group named Extinction Rebellion, similarly glued their hands to the frames of paintings by Spanish master Francisco Goya at a museum in Madrid.</p>

<p>"We love it ‼️ 1.5ºC has died and yet long live the Majas, of course. We will drown but they will still be there to remind us how well it was lying while the collapse comes.." tweeted the outfit while sharing a video of the incident.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The duo was quickly detained after the incident by the police and now awaits the due judicial process.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The NGO said that the Ministry of Defence, in most cases, described fatalities as merely sons and daughters. The ages and circumstances of the death were not included.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“In total, some 164 people (adults and children) were killed in those attacks involving confirmed or suspected children. Some 68 of the 135 confirmed and suspected child deaths were from airstrikes, constituting some 50 per cent of all deaths,” said&nbsp;AOAV.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In total, 881 fatality claims were made to the British government out of which most were rejected and only a quarter received compensation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As reported by WION, in July, a BBC investigation also showed that Britain's elite Special Air Service (SAS) corps had killed at least 54 Afghans in suspicious circumstances.</p>

<p>NASA's unmanned Moon mission Artemis-1 has once again been delayed due to a hurricane, days after returning to the launch pad after undergoing repairs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NASA in a statement released said it was postponing the November 8 launch until November 16 due to tropical storm 'Nicole' which is expected to make landfall on the Florida coast as a 'Category 1' hurricane.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Based on expected weather conditions and options to roll back ahead of the storm, the agency determined Sunday evening the safest option for the launch hardware was to keep the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft secured at the pad," said the agency.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It added that the engineering team had powered down the Orion spacecraft, SLS core stage, interim cryogenic propulsion stage, and boosters to prepare for the impending storm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The next window opens at 6:04 AM on November 16 and will be available for two hours. To err on the side of caution, the agency has also kept November 19 as the next date for the launch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Additionally, the authorities suspect that the foreign powers are also buying properties near airports, seaports, nuclear plants, dams and key bridges.</p>

<p>By introducing the new system, Tokyo is also attempting to limit property owned by sanctioned foreign individuals. According to reports,&nbsp;60 locations with critical importance to national security have already been identified and the government.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has rejected an FIR filed at the Wazirabad police station, in relation to the unsuccessful assassination attempt on its party leader.</p>

<p>As reported by WION, in the aftermath of the attack, during a televised address, the PTI boss accused PM Shehbaz Sharif along with the country's interior minister Rana Sanaullah and a senior military officer of plotting the attack on him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Khan is unmoved and has demanded that the authorities take action on all three. However, he has not shared any evidence so far to back his claims.</p>

<p>Moreover, after Khan levelled the allegations, the Pakistan Army came down heavily upon the PTI chief and said his accusations were 'baseless and irresponsible'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The baseless and irresponsible allegations by chairman of PTI against the institution and particularly a senior army officer are absolutely unacceptable and uncalled for," read a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I am requesting chief justice of Pakistan to constitute a full court commission and include all judges whether they are senior or junior,” said Sharif during a press conference.&nbsp;</p>
