Facebook, the parent company of Meta earlier this month laid off as many as 11,000 employees while Twitter slashed half of its workforce. The employees fired, especially those on the H-1B visa have an arduous task in hand as the clock is ticking for them.</p>

<p>H-1B visa is a type of visa issued in the US which allows employers to hire foreign workers in speciality occupations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, according to rules, when an H-1B visa holder is terminated from their job, they have a 60-day grace period which allows them to maintain the status quo and search for a new job.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Once the said period lapses and the visa holder is not able to obtain employment, they are expected to return to their country of origin.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ganga Vilas Cruise, the world's longest luxury river cruise, covering a distance of 4,000 kilometres will set sail early next year in January, announced Sarbananda Sonowal, union minister of ports, shipping and waterways.</p>

<p>The maiden river voyage will commence on January 10, 2023, from the holy city of Varanasi in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and will culminate in Dibrugarh, Assam, a northeastern state on March 1.</p>

<p>The highlights of the cruise trip will include witnessing the mesmerising 'Ganga Aarti', traversing through the Sundarban (the world's largest mangrove forest) and&nbsp;visiting Mayong, the cradle of 'black magic' in India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ship will pass through three major waterways viz. the Ganga-Bhagirathi-Hooghly river system, the&nbsp;Indo-Bangla Protocol Route (Kolkata-Dhubri) and&nbsp;National Waterway 2 over Brahmaputra.</p>

<p>Sonowal added that in addition to promoting passenger traffic on rivers,"the development of inland waterway systems would expedite trade and cargo services and attract tourists along its route.”</p>

<p>The JIT subsequently issued arrest warrants for four suspects, who were put on trial in the Netherlands in absentia in 2020.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Three Russians viz. Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky and Oleg Pulatov, and a Ukrainian, Leonid Kharchenko have been named the suspects and remain on run.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, despite being at large, Pulatov has appointed a Dutch law firm to represent him. As a result, under Dutch law, he is not being tried in absentia.&nbsp;</p>
