<p>Notably, conducting a board meeting on the review of the programme would require a prior staff-level agreement. However, the deal has been delayed since November last year, the longest delay since at least 2008.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The country's parallel National Unity Government (NUG), formed out of the ashes of NLD, has established the People's Defence Force (PDF) which is responsible for training civilians to fight alongside established ethnic armed groups. Armed ethnic minority groups such as the Karenni, the Karen and the Kachin are part of this group.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last month, over 100 soldiers marched into one of Mobye's villages and arrested about 100 residents, most of whom were released after being detained for a few days in the Buddhist monasteries. &nbsp;</p>

<p>A strong earthquake of 5.4 magnitude jolted parts of north India, including the capital city of New Delhi around 1:30 pm on Tuesday.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>National Center for Seismology said the earthquake originated from a depth of six kilometres in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Earthquake of Magnitude: 5.4, Occurred on 13-06-2023, 13:33:42 IST, Lat: 33.15 &amp; Long: 75.82, Depth: 6 Km, Location: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, India," tweeted the agency.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"An earthquake of 5.4 magnitude was recorded in J&amp;K's Doda today. Tremors might have been felt in HP, Chandigarh, Punjab and all adjoining areas. Maybe the aftershock will be of lesser magnitude than the main shock," said Dr OP Mishra, director of National Center for Seismology.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The earthquake scared school children. People in shops rushed out. It was scary. This was more intense than the tremors last week," a local from Srinagar was quoted as saying by ANI.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, the tremors were also felt in Pakistan's Lahore city.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The earthquake on Tuesday comes a little more than two weeks after another quake measuring 5.2 struck Afghanistan. The epicentre was 79 kilometres southeast of Fayzabad and the quake came from a depth of 220 kilometres.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The quake occurred at around 10.19 am as the&nbsp;tremors&nbsp;were also felt&nbsp;in various locations around Punjab, Haryana, and Jammu &amp; Kashmir. The tremors lasted for a few seconds. However, no instance of any casualty, injuries or damage were reported.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

The epicentre was 79 kilometres southeast of Fayzabad and the quake came from a depth of 220 kilometres. The quake occurred at around 10.19 am as the tremors were also felt in various locations around Punjab, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir. The tremors lasted for a few seconds. <p>Todd Hardwick and Jeff Peterla had to struggle hard after they were called to capture a 10-foot American crocodile that was discovered in the pool of someone's home in the middle of the night&nbsp;in the southeastern US state of Florida.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The apex predator had slipped into the pool and started making thrashing sounds and waves before the owners called upon expert wildlife trappers to diffuse the situation. Initially, it was&nbsp;Hardwick that tried to drag the crocodile out of the water on the far end but could not make any breakthrough.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Afterwards,&nbsp;assistant trapper Peterla stepped in and attempted to haul the crocodile by its head and finally managed to achieve success. One of the men then stepped across and sat on the crocodile's back, stabilising him so that he couldn't move anymore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"At 2 am Sunday, June 11, 2023, wildlife officials received a call from a homeowner in Plantation Key at Mile Marker 90 about a MASSIVE 10ft American crocodile in their pool," wrote&nbsp;Pesky Critters Wildlife Control on their Instagram account.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Continuing the rather absurd trend of targeting popular paintings and art pieces, two women climate activists on Wednesday vandalised a Monet painting at&nbsp;Stockholm's National Museum.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The women were arrested but not before they smeared red paint over the painting and glued themselves to the protective glass. The museum's press office confirmed the incident and said they were not sure if the painting had been destroyed or not.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“In the afternoon of June 14 around 2:30 p.m. (8:30 ET) an action was carried out at the National Museum in Stockholm. Two people made handprints with some kind of paint on an artwork by the artist Monet in the exhibition ‘The Garden – Six Centuries of Art and Nature’ and then glued themselves to the glass,” the museum’s press office said.</p>

<p>“The painting, which is encased in glass, is now being inspected by museum conservators to determine whether there is any damage,” it added.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Stockholm police arrest the activists&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The Stockholm police upon arriving at the scene arrested the two women who have been charged under aggravated vandalism.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The crime is currently classified as aggravated vandalism. It is unclear whether more people than the two arrested are involved in the incident, but a number of people have been checked and the police will, among other things, review the course of events with the help of the museum’s surveillance cameras,” the police said in a release.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The vandalism by the duo follows in the footsteps of similar episodes carried by supposed 'climate change activists' across Europe and outside. The modus operandi is the same in most cases.</p>

<p>Apart from art museums, climate activists have also impeded proceedings at F1 Grand Prix races and cricket matches. Recently, the England cricket team was held up as they attempted to make their way to the Lord's cricket ground to play the one-off Test match against Ireland. Just Stop Oil activists marched before the team bus with placards saying "life over oil", "we won't die quietly' and #no new oil and gas".</p>
