The IDF explained the daytime operation, "Seeds of Summer," as a "high-risk, complex missiona" executed with "surgical" precision.

The Israel Defense Force's Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that they have been planning this rescue mission since weeks using precise intelligence.

It may be mentioned here that the deadliest operation in Gaza's history&nbsp;began with a deadly attack by Hamas on southern Israel on October 7, resulting in 1,189 Israeli deaths and 252 hostages taken.&nbsp;

Since then, Israel's response has been constant, with the Gaza Health Ministry reporting over 36,801 deaths, mostly civilians.

The resolution says Israel has accepted the truce plan, and "calls upon Hamas to also accept it." The Palestinian militant group said that it "welcomes" the vote.

Days after jailed Waris Punjab De chief&nbsp;Amritpal Singh won the Khadoor-Sahib seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, American-Sikh lawyer Jaspreet Singh has reached out to US Vice-President Kamala Harris and is seeking her intervention in securing his release.

Singh is currently imprisoned in Assam's Dibrugarh jail on terror charges from where he fought India's general elections as an independent candidate and won.&nbsp;

Taking the jailed leader's side, the lawyer contended that Amritpal Singh's detention is "unjust". He also claimed to have read the case&nbsp;thoroughly.&nbsp;

Amritpal Singh was a fugitive who evaded police radar for more than a month. However, he was nabbed in April last year from Punjab's Moga district and was put in jail as Punjab Police invoked the National Security Act (NSA) against him.&nbsp;

The Chinese foreign ministry said that the preliminarily assessment by the police was that it was a "random incident", adding that the investigation into the matter was underway.

"From what we know, on the morning of June 10, four foreign teachers from Jilin University were attacked while sight-seeing in Beishan Park. All the injured individuals were immediately taken to the hospital and were given appropriate critical care, no one's life is in danger. The preliminary judgement from the police is that this case is a random incident, currently further investigations are underway," Chinese Foreign Minitry spokesperson Lin Jian said.

He further said that the incident will not affect the normal exchanges between the peoples of the United States and China.

"Engaging in China-US people-to-people exchanges is in line with both sides' interests, and has received enthusiastic support and responses from all levels in both countries," Lin said.

"China is recognised as one of the safest countries in the world, China has always taken effective measures and will continue to take such measures to earnestly protect the safety of all foreigners in China. The relevant random incident will not affect the normal conducting of people-to-people exchanges between China and United States," he added.

The Iowa Cornell College Representative Adam Zabner confirmed that his brother David was one of the four victims of the stabbing incident.

He stated that the group was visiting a local temple when a man with a knife attacked them on Monday.

The Iowa Cornell College instructors suffered injuries in a "serious incident" when they were visiting a park in the daytime in Jilin province, northern China, said the college, in a statement.

Iowa Representative Adam Zabner confirmed that his brother David was one of the four victims of the stabbing incident. He stated that the group was visiting a local temple when a man with a knife attacked them on Monday (June 10).

Zabner added that the assailant stabbed his brother in the arm at Beishan Park and he has been recovering in hospital.

“My team has been in communication with Cornell College and will do everything in our power to bring these Iowans home safely. Join me in praying for their health and safety," Hinson said.
