In response to heightened tensions with the United States, Venezuela is deploying troops and decades-old Russian-made weapons while preparing to mount a guerrilla-style resistance against any potential US military intervention. The Venezuelan government plans to use small units operating from more than 280 locations to carry out sabotage and prolonged resistance tactics.
