The Trump administration has temporarily halted scheduling new student visa appointments globally as part of its efforts to expand social media vetting for foreign students. According to an internal cable from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, existing appointments can proceed, but new ones will be put on hold until the review is completed and updated guidance is issued.
